As a small business owner, I almost asked them how their company creates such an amazing customer experience because the experience is truly one of the best you'll have. They work hard, they're fast, they do a great job, and they could not be friendlier if they tried. Great value too. I first used Seattle Rubbish in 2012 when I had the world's crappiest awning over the patio at my old place. I remember Eli being kind, responsive, and having his team remove the awning in a manner of 15 minutes...and offer to pick up other stuff we didn't want hanging out in our yard (like ginormous rocks). It was kind of like magic and I've always remembered it as such. So when it came time to get rid of "the pot greenhouse" at my current house, I immediately gave Seattle Rubbish a call. Long story short, it was built by the owner before last to grow pot in the early 90s (Obviously VERY illegal then), and the owner I bought it from never thought to remove it - and built a deck right above it. Needless to say, it was more useless than the awning. Luckily, Andres was super helpful over the phone and after a 10-minute conversation and a few photos, he got me a bid and put me on the schedule in the next few days. Though tearing apart this greenhouse wasn't as easy as the crappy awning, it was certainly damn efficient. Ty and Jamal dismantled the pot greenhouse in 3 hours, scared off many spiders while doing so, and were extra kind enough to lock up the workshop for me so I didn't have to carry my fussy 6-month daughter outside in the rain. Sometimes you never get a chance to utilize a business twice, so it's always nice that when you do, the level of service quality stays the same. If I encounter another weird structure attached to a house I buy again, I know I'm calling these guys. read more

Hired them to pick up what I estimated to be 3 cubic yards of loose soil from my driveway which they quoted the cost to be around $450. Upon arriving for the pickup, they called me to say that there was at least 8 cubic yards and that the estimate would double to at least $1000. Upon hearing this, I decided to just have Seattle Dirt Exchange provide me with a drop off box that I could fill myself and have picked up (the box holds a maximum of 5 cubic yards apparently). This meant I wasn't able to have the dirt removed in time for a party I was hosting. I was able to load all the soil with plenty of room to spare and Seattle Dirt Exchange estimated the amount at 4 cubic yards for only $220. I don't think they were malicious regarding the estimate, just so wrong that it's sad and ended up costing me a bunch of time and effort (although saved me money). This all being said, I did receive an sincere reply from the owner regarding this matter. He reasonably pointed out that estimates are just that and their preference is to over-estimate than to under-estimate. That makes sense and they do seem like a trustworthy company. read more

I contacted Seattle Rubbish Removal last December and almost instantaneously received an estimate and could schedule a pickup almost as quickly. Well, it turns out I was the procrastinator because I just finally got around to contacting them again. The price had gone up a little but they were ready and willing to do a pickup the same day if I wanted. Sheesh, I'm never that organized! It was easy to schedule for a day out. They gave me a two-hour time window and a courtesy call when the truck was on its way.
