Great Whole Foods experience for us in the evening recently. This one has a great underground…read moregarage which was perfect given how hard it was raining. Rounding the corner into the garage was a little precarious given two-way traffic, but they do have a mirror in the corner for precautions. There were elevators up a floor to the main store. We went in around seven, so the hot bar and salad bar were a bit on the slim pickings side. However, I was still able to make a decent enough mediterranean salad and select a main. Some of the roasted potatos were slightly under done, but otherwise everything was great. We didn't interact with a ton of staff since they have self checkout at this location, but everyone seemed relatively low-key and friendly. It wasn't at all busy, but it could be that we were shopping late on a week night. Despite being in the city, this location still felt plenty spacious and well stocked with produce, refrigerated, and shelf stable items.

I'm standing in the store right now . Reply to this review if you just want to know where to get everything they have for less money without a sale. By the way, if Yelp really wants to help in this economy, they will help steer people toward lower prices. Whole Foods is a clown show. Food is fine. Not worth the price. Ambience is great if you need a good place to pick up your packages. Otherwise, this is an overpriced grocery store. In a working class neighborhood. I just left this place to go buy the same piece is that jewel for three dollars less of pizza, not on sale. Whole Foods, you don't like that? Send us pictures of your prices being lower than what I'm talking about. You're a corporation. You've got the Intel. I just used my feet.

The people who work at GNC are either paid solely on commission or waterboarded for weak sales…read more Every time I go to one of these stores, the clerks are about as subtle as Army recruiters or gypsies. Half the time they'll follow you around making overly personal chit-chat about your body type. They always throw in a few mentions of their "superior" multivitamins, too (total bullshit -- buy a generic multivitamin and save 15 bucks). Like true carnies, they try to rope the customer into spending way more than necessary with a variety of low-grade scare tactics ("Well, that powder is okay, I guess, but if you want REAL results, you'll get the one for $59.99 instead because it has more of the essential amino acids and blah-blah-blah...") Um. Excuse me. If the less expensive product is somehow inferior, then why the hell are you guys selling it in the first place? Huh? That's why I usually order supplements off the Internet. However, one night around Thanksgiving, I needed to replenish my stash and didn't feel like waiting around for a week to get it shipped. I stopped at this GNC on the way home from work and am pleased to report that these guys got it right. The kid working there was polite and didn't creep me out by calling me "guy" or "buddy" and making unsolicited comments about my arms. He simply let me buy the product I requested and wished me a good evening. That's all it takes to get five stars these days: Boundaries, Respect and Courtesy. Note to everyone in retail management - stop forcing your employees to stall customers and use other poorly masked carnie tactics. Just repeat after me: Boundaries, Respect and Courtesy. Follow this mantra and you will survive the scourge of Internet sales.
