I had a deeply disappointing and unethical experience with Perkins Motor Plex in Mayfield,…read moreKentucky. My son and I had been in communication with them for almost a week regarding a vehicle they had listed for sale. After confirming the transaction details with my salesman, Logan Stout, I completed and submitted loan documents to start the purchase process. This morning, Logan called to inform me that another customer had expressed interest in the same vehicle. Despite my son and I actively working with them to secure the vehicle and being well into the purchase process, they allowed the other customer to buy it instead. This was not only a shocking breach of trust but also a glaring display of unethical business practices. My son and I had invested considerable time, effort, and resources into securing this vehicle under the assumption that our deal would be honored. Instead, they prioritized another customer, completely disregarding the commitment they had already made to us. This lack of integrity and respect for their customers is unacceptable and speaks volumes about their approach to doing business. I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Perkins Motor Plex to proceed with extreme caution, as their actions demonstrate they value profit over professionalism, honesty, or customer loyalty.

While trying to find a truck with the towing package, 4x4 and leather seats in White or Silver we drove to 4 different Perkins locations along with a dozen other dealerships until our second trip to the Perkins Mayfield location and there she was, exactly the Truck We've been looking for, Pearl White 4x4 with the towing package under 100,000 miles and within our price range. We picked up our vehicle yesterday, even Sarah in the office was pleasant and helpful, by 11:AM we were on our way. *** Update *** There were a few issues with our truck after we purchased it, no problem for Perkins, they took care of all of our concerns and even loaned us a car until we were totally happy and satisfied with our new truck. Thank You Perkins Motor Plex.

The closest Ford dealership to Calvert City, Kentucky was in Benton. We took the car there and they were booked until Friday, the technician there told us that the power steering was gone. He also told us that if we were driving and the steering went out again, to just pull off of the interstate turn the car off to let it reset. Please keep in mind that we were 499 miles from home. The manager at LEON RILEY FORD in Benton, Kentucky would not even check the battery. He said that they didn't have time. The next closest Ford dealership was in Paducah which was 21 miles away, the next closest one was 24 miles away. Paducah didn't have any openings, so we called Purchase Ford. Purchase Ford told us that they try to take in consideration that people are from out of town, and work them in. While waiting the manager came, asked us how we were doing, and what part of South Carolina we were from. He said he loved the Charleston area, and would love to live there. The people were really nice, and put us before other people that had appointments. After being there only 10 minutes Cindy Lassiter the service advisor, came in to give us an update. The update was VERY promising, the battery charge was low. Cindy came back in, and said that it was not the power steering, that it was the battery!! My mother's response was " Thank you Jesus"!! Thank you Purchase Ford and Cindy for being so nice and helping us. You gave us some much needed peace of mind. We experienced some good southern hospitality while at Purchase Ford, thank you again!

Performing my usual walk around the trailer as I do every fuel stop I realized one axle had no wheel, no hub, trashed axle spindle.... No idea when it happened. No indications from the trailer. Pulled at 77MPH the entire time. I serviced all four wheels last Fall and topped off the wheel bearing grease in June of this year. Just goes to show, sometimes it just doesn't matter what you do things just fail. Anyway, after searching we limped our way over to Youngblood RV. After 8 hours with Youngblood's technicians trying to repair the axle we threw in the towel and started the return journey home rather than attempting another 8 hours away from home and then 12 hours back. If you ever find yourself in Mayfield, KY in need of anything related to RV or camping, or grilling, or golf carts, do yourself a favor and go to Youngblood RV. Ask for Trevor Youngblood. I took up 8 hours of bay time and use of his time. He didn't charge me a single penny. Class act people...words can't convey my gratitude for these folks.

I had some siding come loose on my trailer and pulled into Youngbloods not knowing anyone. I was back on the road in a few hours with my siding repaired and some extra problem I was unaware of also repaired. And the cost was very reasonable.
