Sebago brewing company in South Portland is an excellent choice if your visiting Maine and staying close to the airport. I was staying at a nearby hotel and walked in for a late dinner. Sebago brew pub offers a great menu and amazing variety of craft beers. I tried their blueberry beer and it was light and refreshing! The chipotle chicken bowl was very tasty and definitely worth a try. They have a great bar, dining room and they sell beer to go and merchandise. Sebago is a great place to grab lunch. The staff was really friendly and accommodated five of us very quickly. Although I can't remember what we all ordered, i know some of us ordered lobster quesadillas, fish tacos, and a chicken salad. The food was delivered to us pretty quickly and everything tasted delicious. We went for lunch and thankfully didn't have to wait long to be seated and to be served. On our trip we chose this restaurant for a late dinner as it is near our hotel. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, which is always nice. That we were able to get a booth that fit 6 comfortably was perfect. I shared an Orange Chicken Bowl with my wife and she had a cup of Chicken Chili, which she enjoyed. Based upon my dietary restrictions I should have said no broccoli but my wife liked it, so all good. Never too busy inside so you can get a table for a group easily enough. Each branch location offers a different menu. It An be pretty annoying to say the least. They brew their ale which is not saying it is good but it is fresh so yeah. Over all I would say pass by and find some place with substance over the passing fancy of the place. Sebago is one of our go-to spots for dinner. It's convenient to the mall area without being IN the mall area, if that makes sense. Specials are often interesting and there's several great items on the main menu, including the bowls and burgers. Lots of interesting beer options - though I'm not really a big beer person. Loved it! We were staying at the Courtyard Marriott next door. We walked over. Cool vibe in the front of the house and bar area. They first tried to sit us at a random 2-top table that was along the wall of the room that looks like a banquet hall and right by the entrance. We passed and grabbed the last 2 seats at the bar. I had the blueberry mocktail which was delicious and festive. My fish tacos were outstanding and my husband liked everything about his hamburger and fries. But the bun may have been a little too much bread. And even though we didn't have any "real" drinks, our bartender treated us with great hospitality. Highly recommend this place. Both the restaurant and the bar have a fun atmosphere and their food is amazing. Be sure to take a look at their specials, because that's what others in my party ordered and they were SO good. I went traditional with a burger, and I was not disappointed! One member of our party had taken an aspirin on an empty stomach, and our server was very gracious. She checked in periodically to see how they were doing, and offered oyster crackers to settle their stomach. She was the real MVP that night. The next time in the Portland area, even if I'm not at the adjacent hotel, I'm making a return visit -- if only to enjoy the peanut butter chocolate cake one more time! read more
