We had another package with a pathetic delay this past week. Package was due to arrive last Thursday but was for some unknown (to me) reason, delayed in Fresno for 2 days without an update. I called the Brentwood branch on Saturday as no update had been made and received assistance with the tracking issues. Lori was very gracious in explaining that updates are provided when a driver arrives at a post office and the mail is logged. The gist? What I saw on the tracking website was what Lori saw. There was no much she could do aside from checking when the package arrived at our local branch. I received a call from Lori this morning where she informed me that the package was on site and would be delivered by our local carrier today. I'm still highly disappointed by the USPS gross delays, particularly the Fresno station, which tends to be the one that will hold a package without update for days. My wife and I have a side job where we ship plenty of items sold through ebay, tik tok, and postmark. What so great about this USPS office is they have their own self service kiosk machine! It's really convenient so you do not need to wait in line and especially when the post office is closed during the holidays. After our mailbox was broken into inside our office building at 100 Cortona Way, our mailbox key had trouble opening the lock and is bent. I mentioned this to a postal carrier delivering our mail on 10/2/25. He messed with the key trying to fix it and then the lock wouldn't close on the door. He said he would mention to his supervisor. Upon hearing nothing a week later, I called the Brentwood post office and spoke to the Post Master. She told me to bring the key in and they would have our mailbox lock replaced. I dropped our key off on 10/10/25, filled out and signed a yellow card, showed them my CDL and had them hold our mail until fixed. As of 10/27/25 our box is still open with broken lock and I heard nothing. I went to post office to pick up our mail. Again I was told that the lock would be fixed that week. As of 11/3/25 our box is not fixed and mail is still being held, I left a note on our box for the carrier. Mind you, this is a dental office with insurance checks arriving everyday. Today, 11/4/25 I went to the Brentwood post office to retrieve our mail and key. I was directed to the "main postal clerk" and he told me that I cannot pick up our mail or get the key back as my CDL doesn't match the one on our mailbox. I explained what happened and that I picked up our mail Monday Oct. 27th with no issues other than our box not being fixed yet. I said " I need to get our mail and remove the hold so our mail can be delivered". He said "YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANYTHING BECAUSE YOU CAN'T SHOW ME THAT THIS IS YOUR MAIL OR YOUR KEY!" "I said why don't you look for the card I filled out with my signature so I can pick up our mail?" He was so rude and unprofessional and said "OH, SO YOU ARE GOING TO TELL ME HOW THE MAIL SERVICE WORKS?" I pointed to the two lady clerks that helped me on the previous two visits. I asked him if he was the Post Master and he told me he is the MAIN CLERK AND IN CHARGE OF THE FRONT. And said again "I need to pick up our mail and I'm not speaking to you anymore, please get the Post Master. I COULD NOT believe the way this man spoke to me and was getting upset. I waited for the Post Master and thankfully, it was the same lady JOANN that gave me our mail on 10/27/25. She checked my ID and gave me our mail but wasn't sure where our key is... Too busy with not enough help. I have pain. I went to the front because of it and they treated me bad. I won't go back there again. I go to downtown now. VERY friendly there in Antioch. One Lisa made me get a box and tape. I found the tape on the box. She knew that. I was going to leave because it got busy before I could finish. I was hurting and needed to leave. I had that box and tape that I had to pay for. 20 minutes later...I had to go. They were pissed. Not my fault they can't keep up! That box was 6 bucks! I've been in Brentwood for two years and have given this post office more than it's fair chance. I've had several packages say they were delivered and never arrived. I work from home and know when the mail comes-so if they claim something was delivered but it wasn't, I tend to not believe them. And it's happened several times. I've also had envelopes opened and items stolen from them. While this can happen anywhere, I have never had it happen with frequency that it does with items delivered from this location. Service from the employees are hit or miss. Some are fine while others are rude or dismissive. Your better off using the self serve kiosk. The one time I tried to ship a package to a friend who's had the same address forever, they told me her address didn't exist. They refused to admit they were inputting it wrong. I went and did it myself at the self serve kiosk and it was fine. Don't expect to always get your mail or have reliable service from this location. Truly a disappointment for Brentwood. read more

Today I went out to our locking mail box in front if house to get the mail. I found a small package that we were expecting thrown on the ground next to our mail box. The postal carrier could have gotten out of their truck and walked it to our porch 100 feet away. How pathetic and lazy is this. I can't believe, the lack of professionalism of our US postal service. I tried calling the post office but that's impossible. I know they don't care about reviews! But seriously take some damn pride in the job you do. Terrible. Their service has gone down hill. I went to return a package with a prepaid envelope and they would not give me tape to put on envelope they asked me to pay for a roll of my own. Worse customer service EVER from Loui Rodriguez! We made an appointment online to get 4 new passports. Appt was confirmed online and over text. We get here at 12:30 pm to be told to wait until 1pm for appointment . We wait patiently because the appointment wasn't until 1pm anyways waited and waited and waited to be told after 1pm "somehow we are having double bookings todays so we have to take you after I deal with this customer" 30 minutes later he comes back up to us and says "I have another appointment that walked in so I will take you after them" 30 more minutes comes by and he says "I cannot take you now because of all these double bookings but come back at 2:45pm and I'll take you at that time" 2:45 pm comes and he says "I have to take this Appoitment first" so that was it for me. Once I expressed myself and questioned why we had to keep getting pushed back, he started raising his voice and started being rude and making comments about "look me up" and "I'm going to be the one turning in your application so it may not be there on time" he was being extremely nasty in front of my kids and every time I kept telling him to stop talking to me he would keep going. He stated he is ready to retire , he needs to retire NOW or get retrained on customer service.! I've never had to deal with this kind of customer service from the post office. Friendly and courteous employees, this US Post Office have been good to me when I ship out goods to customers and friends. The line may be long at times, but overall a good experience with them. A little tip: avoid visiting this US Post Office when the around or close to the bell of the nearby high school. The drive in or out will be a laborious endeavor. read more

Louis was the rudest employee I've ever encountered at a USPS. The usps automated message told us to come in 3-4 pm for walk in passport renewal. We came in before 330 and he just flat out said "No. I'll only do 4 customers a day." No where did it say they took only 4 a day. I asked nicely if he could make an exception since we had driven over 35 minutes. He didn't even take a second look at us and said "nope". He said each customer takes around an hour which was a lie because we got it done the very next day and it only took about 15-20 minutes. He was only helping out another customer in front of us too and they finished before 4pm. Very obvious he hates his job and he was just being lazy. Next day we went into the Livermore usps and the employee who helped us there was the complete opposite of him. So nice and helpful. read more

I live in Brentwood, in a development that has a small locked mail box for each resident. Brentwood USPS loads the boxes, which takes approx 4 hours each day, but the start and stop time is inconsistent. The mail room is closed by the HOA after 9PM, so some days the timing makes it impossible to collect my mail. The problem is the volume of junkmail delivered each day fills the box. In December the letter carrier jammed my box full of letters, like a trash compactor. I spoke with the USPS supervisor Patrick, who took my name and said he would speak to the letter carrier. I explained to Patrick, I don't have a door slot, my mail box is small and is jammed with trash delivered by the USPS. He suggested I write my senator. 1st class letter revenue peaked in 2011 and has declined. To make up for the lost revenue, USPS lower bulk mail rates, which has produced the avalanche of junk mail. The problem is entirely created by USPS pricing. The junkmail makes use of my box for normal mail unreliable. USPS delivers the unwanted trash to the post office boxes at their location and taxpayers pay for them to dispose of the trash they just delivered (see photo below). USPS needs structural reform. The junk mail volume caused by USPS pricing needs to stop. USPS should have a process to opt out of junkmail. read more

The workers there are extremely lazy and rude. After waiting in line for 10 minutes to get a receipt for a package I was dropping off they refused to give me a receipt and said I would have to use some machine in the back to send it but they didn't show me where it was or offer to show me how it works and I don't want to use the machine because I can't see very well. Now I don't have a tracking label and have no proof that I sent the package which means that I probably won't get my refund for the $300 phone I returned because I don't have any proof I returned it. read more

He treats people with the best care that I have ever seen from any post office. He even remembered me just from seeing me a second time and he greatly connects with the public crowd. The post office is fine, we are just in a hurry. I don't think the post office was designed for the size of our population, the city has grown at a fast rate. My only real complaint is the post office is not central to the city and I, of course, live on the opposite end of town. I don't understand the need to be rude. Most of them are helpful but there's this one guy at the post office that is always defensive, loud and rude. He didn't know this, but I left the post office and cried so much from my encounter with him. He made me feel small, and embarrassed in front of everyone at the post office with his loud voice and snide comments. I came to pick up my mail as I was waiting for something really important and it said mail arrived 3 days ago per "Informed Delivery". I didn't pick up right away knowing they usually need lead time to sort out mail and group them to the proper address (we don't receive service yet since we are in a new neighborhood so we have to pick up our mail and packages). I got the stack, as I was leaving, I realized at the parking lot that one envelope out of the three-parter important mail we are expecting is not there (I know it gets sent the same time and arrives at the same time, we have an identical one sent a couple weeks prior). I went back and patiently waited for that same guy to be done with his current customer, and soon after I came and asked politely and nicely. Note that he can see me out of the corner of his eye but was choosing to ignore me, and I was fine with that, I just patiently waited for my turn. So when I told him the situation about a mail I am missing, he defensively answers back in a loud voice and says "just because it shows in the app doesn't mean it is there". I didn't even mention the app. But anyway, I am basically worried it might get mixed to other people's mail because when I picked up 4 days ago i had 4-5 of other people's mails in my stack that I returned back to him, and he said "Oh yeah, I haven't really checked all of it I just basically grabbed what was in the stack". It would have been courteous to at least take a minute to do a second look at the back, especially how I emphasized how important that mail is. I don't want to bore you with all the details of the whole entire story, but I am just dumbfounded how he could treat a customer like that, and I don't want to cause a scene or anything, so I kept my composure and tried to reason with him but he has already decided how to deal with me. I wasn't even irate or anything, I was doing my best to be respectful and professional because I do understand the stress they are probably in but his bad treatment to me is unwarranted and left me traumatized and crying at home, even as I write right now. Please do not generalize that all customers are a pain in the butt. You probably had to deal with one earlier but please don't take it out on another. You don't know what everyone is going through. May and Jacqueline on the other hand are very helpful, and would even go back and look twice if this situation happened. I know because this has happened before and they went back and came out with a new stack of mail they still found in the back, on each instance! So I know this guy is just making a lame excuse to exercise his power trip. read more

We were out of town for a few days and requested for our mail to be held. It was still delivered. We've requested this a few times pre Covid and still our mail was being delivered.
