Good burgers and BLTs wish it had a bit more healthy options. Pizza is ok but not great. It is not made onsite.

After a long hot day of riding trails (where you've certainly seen signs for Rebel Smokehouse),…read morethis is a great place to stop for dinner. My top craving of the day was a nice cold draft beer, which is harder to find than you'd expect in a tourist heavy town. This place was a great choice, with several draft options to choose from, and served in large, frosty mugs. Craving satisfied. Now, most people are coming for the food, and we had a great experience with that. We started with the Smokehouse Nachos as an appetizer, but honestly they were so massive that it was a meal of its own for 2-3 people. With a large helping of meats and other toppings, it was very good and filling. We also had the Philly cheese steak pizza (not on the menu, but we were told it was an option.) This thing was huge and EXCELLENT! I would certainly come back for this, even if it's not a regular menu item. We also had the big brisket sandwich and "loaded baby bakers" (potatoes with cheese and bacon). The potatoes were a bit greasy but otherwise it was equally good and filling. We had a great server who was patient, made good suggestions, and was attentive. All around a great food, beverage, and service experience.

We followed the trail signs to Rebel Smokehouse for some barbecue and we're not disappointed!…read more Large menu with lots more than barbecue. You could eat for a long time without eating the same thing twice. I ordered the BBQ Nachos (half order) for my meal with pulled pork and it was a huge serving, more than I could eat. They've got 3 types of barbecue sauce on the table. I loved the mustardy one and the smoky one the best. The other tasted good, too. Service was great. Our waiter, Brandon, was so friendly and prompt. He offered suggestions when I asked him. It seemed everyone knew him and liked him, I could tell. The loaded fries were delicious and so were the beans, slightly sweetened with barbecue sauce. The Mac and cheese was wonderful. There wasn't anything that wasn't delicious. If you're on Trail 11 off the Pinnacle Creek be sure to stop in Mullens West Virginia. So delicious. I forgot to get a picture but here's my leftovers for tomorrow!

If you've been to one, they tend to have similar items for sale. I bought a sandwich for myself and my son. His was a hot ham and cheese with curly fries. He raved about it. Mine was something else, ham, cheese, lettuce, etc. It was fine. The bread they use is quite large, so our sandwiches made two meals for us. The ingredients seem to be fresh and of high quality. I had a side of fried cheese curds with mine, and they are simply great tasting (but bad for you - as fried cheese should be.) We sat on their patio among the outdoor furniture and enjoyed the meal. After the meal I went in and bought some other stuff. Cheese (American and horseradish) - the American cheese said "ultra sharp" which is why I bought it, but it tasted just like regular American cheese, which I don't really like due to the highly processed nature of it. I also bought some baked goods for my family and some meat snacks. They also have a number of natural health items and bulk ingredients. The service here is excellent. Everyone I encountered was friendly. Based on the price and quality of the deli, I would return.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. The RailYard is hands down one of the best…read morerestaurants I've ever been to, and it's right here in Bluefield. From the food to the drinks to the service, every single detail is outstanding. On my first visit, I tried the fried green tomatoes, the famous chicken & waffle nachos, and the Bleu Monday burger with sweet potato fries each dish was so good that I found myself planning my return before I even left. Sure enough, the next day I was back and had the ridiculously delicious smoked Gouda shrimp mac, maple bacon Brussels sprouts, fire-roasted tomato soup with grilled cheese, and the chimmied fries. Absolutely phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes have officially become my standard nobody else compares now. The Samurai Jack salad so fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. The drinks deserve their own spotlight. The Breakfast Club with a Sidecar is a must try, and the Basilto All Flavors series (strawberry, blackberry, blueberry) is out of this world, blueberry was my personal favorite. Creative, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. The RailYard is the kind of place that makes you excited to come back again and again. The vibe is cool, the staff/manager Brad is friendly and attentive, and the food is truly next level. Whether you're a student at Bluefield State or just passing through town, this place is an absolute must. The RailYard sets the bar high for food, drinks, and atmosphere in West Virginia. Worth every single visit and then some.
