We had a great time working with Albert. From the beginning, he was extremely helpful and friendly, and we immediately knew he was a good fit for us and our budget. He's very knowledgeable about the industry and was able to answer any questions we had. What my husband and I valued the most was Albert's ability to get along with everyone. We had used a different photographer for our engagement shoot, and although he shot beautiful photos, he was just very antisocial, serious, and hard to connect with. After we met Albert, we realized how important it was to us to have someone who was compatible with our personalities and was able to communicate effectively with our friends and family. During our wedding, Albert was professional, but at the same time, felt like a friend who was there to help us through the day. An added bonus was that he knew Cantonese so he was able to communicate with the elder family members who did not know English. Albert was (and is) extremely responsive before and after the wedding. After our honeymoon, we requested a few photos for our thank you cards, and he was able to send some within a few days. Albert did a great job on our wedding. A few thing we really appreciated: - He brought along his assistant Jason who suggested some really fun poses for the groom and groomsmen. We really had a lot of fun with Jason. - Albert spoke Chinese which was a big help with our Chinese family. Our family was very comfortable with him and Albert's Chinese really helped in directing them. - Overall, Albert was very professional and managed the process well. He gave clear directions but was nice and professional about it. - And of course the pictures! They turned out well and our family and friends have really enjoyed them! Usually when it comes to photos I tend to feel self-conscious and awkward, but Albert is so friendly and easy to work with that I was able to make it through my engagement and wedding photos with him with no problem. When we met with Albert for engagement and wedding photos, he listened well to what we wanted and was very accommodating. Our wedding actually took place in Washington, and Albert was a champ at finding his way around, scoping out locations, and making the most out of what ended up being a gray and drippy day. And even when my coordinator took a bite out of him, he maintained a professional demeanor and continued his work as if nothing had happened. We have been very happy with his work, so much so that we have commissioned him to do a maternity shoot for our first-born, and eventually newborn pics when she arrives. Albert puts a lot of thought and care into making sure he captures the best moments of your day, and has a creative eye for shots that I would never think to take. This is a tough one to review in terms of rating. 2.5 stars. There were some very goods coupled with some very not so goods. Starting off on the positive side... (+) When we met Albert, he was very friendly and attentive to our needs and seemed like a stand up good guy who we felt would be excellent to take our wedding photos. (+) Some of my friends got married a while ago and were not used to such long photo shoots but everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable time despite the alleged "chore" of taking photos. (+) The actual day of, he made both of us feel at ease with a friendly manner and his co-photographer was also lots of fun and did a great job. Now to the dark side... (-) This may be as a result of being too busy or some other reason but we are still waiting for items paid for to arrive and it's coming up to 4 months. That's a bit too long a wait imo. (-) Although there were some good shots, many were not properly thought out and a certain spread of shots were missing. e.g. Portrait shots are important to the older generation but those were lacking despite a request for those. (-) Some photos appear to have not been edited and the background on some were distracting and with a little more care and attention to detail could have been easily fixed. (-) A pet peeve of mine is unbalanced photos which look odd when you look back at them. e.g. The bridesmaids were all bunched together on one side with the bride and the groomsmen were evenly spaced next to the groom. I'd hope looking through a camera you would be able to identify and correct that. Overall, when thinking about wedding costs, photography is a big consideration (it's a big outlay so you expect great things) to factor in. We also had a videographer who was great and that may be where you can get that little bit more. I'd say to skip the getting ready shots if you have a friend that can take those as those were our least viewed/favorite and use the budget for a videographer. Get a good one and you won't regret it. read more

Where to begin with this review.. I guess I will get the positives out of the way, since those are so few and far between. We received (after months of asking for them) a couple of pictures that we will cherish - shots that my wife and I and our families will treasure forever. That being said, it seems from the other reviews on here that our experience with Albert and his sidekick (who I have no idea who he was) might be an anomaly, but it still needs to be known. We had both a photographer and a videographer for our wedding, and they both cost roughly the same amount. The videographer, widely acclaimed online, came from out of state and arrived two days early to begin preparations for our big day. Albert and his associate were supposed to arrive at noon the day of, and they were not on time. While we are on the discussion of timing, I should bring up one of the bigger issues I had with Albert - he promised us that 8 hours would be enough time and that is what we booked him for. As we were getting ready for our first dance, he came up to the BRIDE and said time was up! When I found out about it later, I almost lost my mind. At very least go up to a member of the wedding party or family and mention something, not the actual bride. The bride told him to go talk to her husband, and we think that is the first time that she referred to me as such, in a dispute with the photographer. Anyways, I reluctantly said yes and they stayed an extra hour. More specifics of how horrific our experience was: - Bride and bridal party were all completely ready by the time Albert arrived. An hour plus was wasted as he had them all getting ready again for staged photographs. Most of it is obvious as the bridal party is visibly bored and annoyed in photographs. - After the actual service in the church, family pictures were a disaster. Albert had 80+ year old grandparents walking up and down steps on the alter while rearranging photos, only to settle on them being in the front row. It was amazing how ignorant he was of the elderly who could barely walk anyways. - Speaking of family photos: half of the staged family photos are not even cropped. The lone photo of the groom and his family has 1/3 of the picture as complete dead space. A freshmen in high school knows how to crop that out. - The grooms brother was one of the groomsmen. Although multiple pictures of just the two were taken the day of the wedding, not a single one ended up in the final "edited" batch. All in all, our wedding day was amazing and went off without a hitch. I would call all of our complaints about Albert side noise to the happiness we shared. Had he been more professional, prompt, and considerate, the day would have been absolutely perfect. As it was, it was still amazing and we had the time of our lives. Would I change anything about the day? Probably not. Would I recommend Albert to anyone else? Absolutely not. read more

When my husband met him, he also explain it in good detail about the cost and he answer any other questions my husband had. Second print photographer was recommended to me by my close friend, and I am happy that I chose it for my wedding. From the very first appointment this place seemed to be different, more personal - and I had already met with many other photographers. I had been on 10 different appointments with other companies and usually they start with who they are and their packages, but with Albert our first appointment was about who I was as a bride and who the groom was and who we were as a couple. And with that our wedding pictures are much more than just happy pictures. They captured our personalities as a couple. Our wedding was split in two days for a traditional ceremony and modern reception and Albert was so involved in learning about ourfamilies and traditions that after an hour or so they didn't feel like photographers but good friends enjoying this special day together and they were there to capture every moment. The photos were a perfect blend of staged and candid shots and they even stayed late when they saw more guests posing at our flower wall at the end of the night. If you want your photos to feel personal and have fun while taking them, Albert is your guy! There isn't really anything negative I can say. Photography was a high priority for our wedding, and we didn't want to trust our Big Day to just anyone. We looked around for months, read lots of reviews, met with several photographers, but we knew our search was over when we found Albert from SecondPrint Productions! From our first consultation with Albert, we felt a comfort and genuine care that we didn't get from anybody else. He asked lots of questions and our meeting took much longer than we had anticipated because of all my endless questions, all of which he happily answered with a smile on his face. ;) We realized that just as important as photographic quality is- which Albert's is top of the line- is the rapport we would have with our photographer/s, since we would be spending so much time with them and in front of them. And thanks to his kindness and warmth as well as his consummate professionalism (he was super punctual and very responsive for the months leading up to our wedding), we were able to fully trust that Albert would go above and beyond for us on our Big Day, to not only get the great shots but to make sure we were fully satisfied. He directed us in a way that was fully understandable, creative, comfortable, and thoughtful. Even my bridesmaids told me afterward how impressed they were by Albert and how his guidance the whole time made them feel really comfortable and confident. These qualities are not a given with all photographers these days, and I'm so grateful that we were fortunate enough to experience this! He really made the photo shoots so fun and flexible, while also being non-intrusive enough for my husband and I to often forget he was there during our candid/romantic moments and especially during the ceremony! An issue that customers could complain about is the length of time after the wedding to get their photos back. However, Albert told us that starting this year, he is making it his goal to accept fewer clients every year, thus being able to dedicate more time to editing with shorter post-production time. We really enjoyed working with Albert! He was the photographer for our wedding, and it couldn't have been better. He did a wonderful job making everyone feel comfortable and look natural in the photos. We got married in April, and it was freezing. Yet, my wife and I really wanted photos outside.
