In particular, I want to call out Jess, who was our venue tour guide. Our experience with her is a big part of the reason we booked this venue. You know when a person just gives you a GOOD feeling? She made us feel at home, like it was just the RIGHT place for us. She's also proven to be incredibly efficient, a prompt and excellent communicator, and uncompromising on ensuring we're taken care of even though when we booked, it was a full 18 months before our wedding! She gave us the attention and care we'd only expect if our wedding was next month! Ps. Please note that the only negative reviews about this place were during COVID. It was the Wild West back then, and everyone was just doing their best. We have experienced an extremely transparent booking and contract process, with clear language around refunds or rescheduling.

Not only is the venue beautiful, but their staff is professional as well as friendly - a combination that can be hard to find these days. The guide was not able to provide basic information about the venue itself, to include their catering prices, the tax and service fees, and other miscellaneous info. My fiancé and I then told the guide multiple times that we intended on being married at the outside ceremony site and wished to see the location, but we were told "not today it's snowing". Tough to sell a venue when you refuse to show the customer what they want. We were very excited for this venue however the guide we given was the specific reason we did not choose this venue.

We were also told that someone from the Lodge would be there to with knowledge of how to assist setting up the 2 TVS to play music videos via youtube but the lady had no idea how to work anything and we only got to use 1 TV and we had to figure out how to broadcast it. Not to mention that our time slot was from 12am-12pm and they were over an hour late!!! Ummmm, you guys knew what day our event was months in advance, we paid thousands of dollars for our time and you were over an hour late?!? Which means we had to rush everything and didn't get to set up in the amount of time promised as if getting married isn't stressful enough, you guys just added unnecessary stress. Also, the lady from the Lodge there took pictures and said it was going to be put online without asking any type of permission to do so. Do not do business with these people, if so just be aware that they lie and might be late. We eventually got our deposit back after constantly calling for weeks, and didn't get it until the end of Dec.

Jodi was so helpful and accommodating during our reunion stay! The meeting room and guest rooms were so nice and set up perfectly! One guest room did not have a portable cooler, but Jodi worked with us to change the guest accommodations to take care of that. There are a limited number of rooms with no stairs, but it was fine for our family. The view from the dining room was amazing! The meals were delicious, and the serving staff was so friendly and quick. The specialty breads and desserts were outstanding! We appreciated the coffee, tea, and water being available throughout the day and evening. Our family enjoyed volleyball, gaga ball, ping pong, cornhole, horseshoes, and just wandering around the grounds. It was wonderful to have a family meeting room so that we could visit and play games throughout the weekend. Overall, our family loved the Hideaway!
