My Grand Cherokee purchases from this location is year old and is not holding windshield washer fluid which is covered under warranty. I can not see out of the front windshield or back windshield because of the all the salt and sand on the roadways, they won't even LOOK at your car to diagnose it for 24-48 hours after your DROP it off and do not have loaner vehicles available for 60 days. So I guess I'll just hang out of the side of my of car with the window open a Windex bottle on the Wantagh State Parkway. Their customers safety is obviously their top concern. This place get fcked. This is the worst place in the entire world!! They sell lemons!! Had our truck for EIGHT+ MONTHS STRAIGHT. They cannot fix the problem and will not let us out of our lease. Brand new lease @ 11,000 miles. new engine, TWO NEW TRANSMISSIONS and another one coming, still not fixed. oh and you want a lender? they never have one. We had an appointment to take care of a recall at a different dealership, which took us two weeks to get. When we got there, they didn't have the parts or a record of the appointment or of the person who made the appointment. They said we must have made the appointment with Security by accident. We went there -- the appointment was not made there. We were going to leave, but the gentleman at the service intake checked and saw they had the parts. Within two hours, all was taken care of. Diana in service knew all about this recall and what we had to do afterwards to make sure we could get our inspection taken care of. Literally everyone there was fantastic. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful above and beyond the call of duty. read more

This review is coming from a loyal customer of 15 years who has leased and purchased approximately 10 vehicles from Security Dodge in Amityville. My experience with the Service department at Security Dodge has been a major disappointment. With out naming the service rep who handled my most recent call, she was no help at all, leaving me frustrated beyond belief. No customer should have to get stressed out with a dealership trying to fix a vehicle with whom they purchased a vehicle from, especially when they are under warranty. If this is Security Dodge's model and vision on how to service their customers, it needs to change. The earliest appointment to have my vehicle serviced is almost a month from the time I made the request. No loaner vehicles are available and no date is even available to schedule a drop off for a loaner. They're Sales department promote and sell you a sales pitch that is quite the opposite service you actually receive when purchasing and leasing their vehicles. Because of the past and present customer service I have received from there service department, I have been using other service shops to maintain my vehicles. This dealership is just another scheming branch in the auto industry. Went here to buy a used car and made it clear that I didn't want a extended warranty from the minute I walked in. After doing credit inquires and lowering my credit score because of it, it came down to signing the papers. I was lied to about how my payments came out and was forced to get a 4500 dollar extended warranty and a scratch and dent 1 year warranty upon signing. this is the worst dealership I've ever been to. the salesman JAMES has been pulling bait & switch tactics on my boyfriend for 3 months. we came in with a clear vision of what car we wanted and the price we could afford. after finally getting down to where we wanted to be he would come back shortly after tacking on another price for something that we already discussed. it was constant little things. "oh we can't include the DMV fee in the upfront payment anymore, you will have to pay for that additionally" etc etc. he then tried to convince my boyfriend to downgrade from a Limited Grand Cherokee to a Laredo for the same price?! it was insulting. we left the dealer ship that day with no deal. every few weeks he texts saying there's new deals/incentives available, yet there never is! yesterday we finally have had enough. he texted us back and forth negotiating - he tried the bait and switch AGAIN selling us a Laredo - we finally clarified the car we were discussing. we got "YES" from James about the all numbers in the text. a few minutes later he sends us a text to state the deal again, and he tacks on the DMV fee again!!!!! lol within the same screenshot he changed the deal. then when we decline the offer that we did not agree to, he gets angry and rants on us that we wasted HIS TIME. LOL. I am VERY CLOSE to releasing the screen shots. these guys are CROOKS - I can't imagine what kind of mess we would be in if we signed with them or if we didn't have leases in the past. if you are a first time buyer/leaser please do not go here they will make you regret it! read more

The mangaer on duty told me he didnt care where I was from using foul language and scare tactics. I wonder how the owner feels since his employees dont respect the locals. This morning I was on my way to Security Dodge of Amityville for an express oil change. As I was walking to my car I noticed oil on the ground. I wiped the chassis with a napkin and sure enough I have an oil leak. When I arrived at Security Dodge I informed them that I had an oil leak and asked if it would be possible for them to check it out. Considering that it was a Sunday morning and they had maybe one or two mechanics working, I didn't think they would but, they did without hesitation. As I was waiting for my car, I saw Alise Bitic (the lady with the big beautiful smile) who had sold me the car in 2017. I told Alise what happened and she immediately went into the garage and asked the mechanic to do what he can because I live in The Bronx. A little while later, I was told that the oil filter housing needed to be changed and that it would take a couple of hours. Shortly thereafter, I was told that the housing was not in stock and that I would need to leave my Jeep there overnight. Now, Security Dodge went one step further. They gave me a loaner Jeep so that I can get home. The way I was treated was amazing. They went above and beyond like no other dealership has ever done for me. I would like to thank Alise Bitic and everyone in the Service department for caring and being a great help. For those of you who are wondering why I bought a Jeep in Long Island when I live 45 miles away. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALER!! UPDATE:: So they called me from Security dodge. Someone named Peter. Says he got an inquiry from Facebook. Doesnt know who he is calling or why. I told him that their boss Mike should send them all to customer service classes to help save their business. When with my daughter to look at cars she was told by the finance department that she was approved for a certain amount of a car we were there till 11:30 at night constant delays with the billing dept because their computer was done and DMV papers had to be processed immediately. I was asked to cosign alone and that's what I thought I did at the last minute at 11:30 at night just to get out Of their, a month later I find out on the primary person on the loan. My credit took a big hit and I was unable to refinance my mortgage at that point. After many many phone calls trying to get through to the finance department after I made a complaint on line I was able to get someone's attention and get that issue explained to me. Wall in the process of buying this car we thought we sat down with a reputable insurance person. He convinced my daughter the change from geico to all state. I witnessed the whole conversation. Almost 2 months later my daughter finds out that she has no collision and Sharon's on her car because the dealer failed to tell my daughter that she was supposed to go get pictures taken of the car for all state. My daughter got into a small Fender Bender and needs to have her front bumper replaced and this is how we found out that she had no collision when she went to go file a claim she has a contract that says she has collision she has an insurance "that says she has collision.The person at the dealership who convinced her to go with all state apologized and said he forgot to tell us that part. My daughter try to call and speak Sales manager and he was nasty and hung up the phone on her. I don't doubt that because my experience trying to get through to somebody at the dealership after the call was bought was a problem. The dealership takes no responsibility for their incompetency to relate information. And in all my years of buying used cars I've never had to go and get pictures taken of the car after I drove out of a dealership that makes no sense. I don't believe anything that anybody says that this deal is ship anymore. Now my daughter is having a problem getting collision put on her car and getting her car fixed at this point and the dealership takes no responsibility for the people that they employ who are incompetent. Please do yourself a favor and do not buy a car from this dealership. I will not recommend them to anybody. I have a 2006 Dodge Durango that I bought a few months ago from a private seller in New Jersey..a few months after I purchased it I wound up having the chronic fuel spill back issue. I wound up doing some research and found some extended warranty program concerning this fuel spill back from the filler neck..I was put In touch with Keith (service advisor) who went above and beyond to check on this warranty program, found it was legit and then made an appointment where his technician installed a new filler neck and fixed my issue..everyone at this dealership went above and beyond to help me from parts to service , even their receptionists were awesome .. Worst dealership ever. I went to this dealership looking for a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. I was given a price and then was told that the car was not in stock and I had to wait. However, I was then told that 2 were coming in on September 11th and 1 was coming in on September 17th. At the end of August I was told by the salesman (Will) to wait until September for an incentive to kick in. But he claimed he's not sure what day it will kick in. After speaking to other Jeep dealerships, I found out that the incentive kicked in about 2 weeks prior, therefore the salesman had been lying the whole time. I waited a few days then made a trip there. When I walked into the dealership, the young lady behind the reception desk gave me an attitude since I didn't have an appointment, however everyone other time I've been there or to other jeep locations its pretty known you do not need an appointment to buy a car. When the salesman came to the front, he said he doesn't answer the phone when I texted him or called him because he's busy, but when he sits with me he always seems to be checking his cell phone often. So, since he was "busy", he asked another salesman who was nice to try and clean up the mess he and is grimy manager started. As I was leaving, the salesman that blew smoke up my ass for weeks came out to try and defend himself to the staff. Also, as I was leaving the dealership, the manager Mike or Sonny, said take care guys with a nasty attitude and ran away, since he can't handle the heat.
