I will never use ADT again. Going forward, any business that is this difficult to communicate with will forever be removed from my approved contractor list. Goodbye ADT. We had the service for 3.5 years and was never happy with the service.

My main criteria for any company is always "Honesty & Integrity". I hit the Bulls-Eye! Reading reviews pays off because we are TOTALLY satisfied with the service from Cornerstone. The setup, the panel, the app for our phones: All were explained in detail. Shannon and his team are so down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and explain everything. (They will explain at whatever level each person can understand.) I have contacted the Service to ask a question or two, or three.....by email, text, or phone.....and someone always picks up the phone or gets back to me within a short period of time. Slightly unbeknownst to me, KAS sold out to Bates. Low and behold when the cameras faulted one by one, we were billed each time that they came out to repair them. Each time, my husband called to argue the warranty, each time a collection notice would follow. We finally gave up and brought new cameras elsewhere. This summer, months ago... my alarm sensors stopped working. At least twice, my daughter came home and without disarming, she was able to make it upstairs, to bed without ever tripping the alarm. For the last few months practically the only thing we've been using the Bates Services for, was for my husband to enter the garage... that was an app feature, to open and close the garage from the app. Finally months later, I decided to disconnect service altogether. My husband called and was told that we needed to give a months notice, by sending a simple email. That I did. Days later, again, unbeknownst to us, they disconnected service... while my husband was at work. So, when he got home, he discovered this and had to wait on me to arrive home before he could entered... should've hung on to his garage door opener. The next day, I was surprised to find a mailed notice explaining that we were still responsible for the upcoming month's bill... which we were already aware of. What I am appalled about is that they want you to pay for that last month, but disconnect and ban you from service during that time frame. So, we hadn't yet connected our replacement alarm service. I've never heard of any company or contract that requires you to pay something without providing service. I will mention, that after my husband made a few calls, they credited back that last months service that they disconnected anyways, so I'll give them a second star. Beware.

When…read moreI picked up, they added Webroot security without prior discussion or approval from me and charged $39.99 for annual coverage, I did need security, but a discussion would have been in order first!! Little did I know that they overcharged me by $10.00-Webroot sells same service on line for $29.99 every single day. But most concerning, I WAS BLOCKED FROM ACCESS TO WEBROOT BY LCS -DevNull, they set themselves up as administrator and I HAD TO HAVE PERMISSION TO ACCESS TO THE SERVICE FOR WHICH I PAID. Each time I called to ask that I be added to access so I could run a scan whenever I wanted and to see what Webroot was isolating, the people at LCS-DevNull had an excuse as to why I could not access the service for which they had charged me. Also, discovered that they had set up my computer to allow them to access it anytime they wanted without my permission or knowledge. I had an issue in March and wanted to access Webroot so I called to have access allowed, more hemming and hawing and excuses. Josh Adams talked with me, I questioned why I was paying for a service I could not have access to nor control. He does not like to be questioned and is quite snarky in his demeanor with customers that don't kow tow to him. And just like the school yard bullies from grade school, he used his best used car salesman tactics and told me my problem had nothing to do with Webroot and danced all around why I could not have access, making the problem mine instead of his unethical business practice. If you are not doing something wrong, like charging me for a single user service but installing a much cheaper "business" service that allows for 5 users to be connected at a reduced price, then why not just give me access??? He does not like being called on the carpet for his shady dealings at all. In the most unprofessional manner I have ever heard, he would not allow access -said I did not need it. I told him give me access or refund the service and remove it, I will get it myself directly from Webroot. He said he would REFUND THE ENTIRE ANNUAL FEE AS SOON AS THE BOOKKEEPER CAME BACK and we would part ways. Gladly, I do not like bullies nor liars. I questioned when I could expect the check to be mailed, he said the bookkeeper would be back later in the day and that was on March 12th. I followed up with an email to support@lexingtoncomputersupport.com on the 19th of March confirming a full refund was promised. Went to their website yesterday and did a live chat, and guess who I was chatting with, you got it - Josh. Only problem was, Josh accepted my chat, but he never responded. Not good customer service nor is it any way to win customers and gain a good rating on line. Typically, if a check is mailed in Lexington 40503 going to 40503 it takes 1 to 2 business days. Further, I originally paid by credit card and you know they have that card number on file, so issuing credit would have been easier and quicker. Still nothing has been done. It has been 3 weeks, so what conclusion should I draw from the lack of refund being forthcoming by Lexington Computer Support-DevNull LLC?? They only sell quality brands, Lennox is what I buy but I believe they also sell Trane and maybe more, I'm not sure but I do know they are very honest and would never take advantage of anyone, which is so nice to be able to say! I can recommend them to friends and I don't have to worry because they will take good care of them. My whole family uses them now because again, they take good care of their customers! I had liquid damage to my laptop and even though I had done everything I could on…read moremy end to dry it out (turned it over, kept it turned off, brought it to the shop as soon as possible), they had no idea how to deal with it but neglected to inform me of that. They kept it at the store for two days without working on it or trying to dry it out or clean it, by which time the logic board had corrosion damage. They also tried to turn it on without first cleaning it, which I am sure made the damage worse- laptops shut off automatically when they sense a spill and turning them back on is the worst thing you can do without cleaning and drying them first. They then charged me a $35 fee to tell me that the laptop "wouldn't start". Well, obviously not. Stay away.
