Not with EB. Everything from start to finish was incredibly professional, fair, and done with excellence. I needed some aluminum trim for my windows and the sides of my home sealed up. Not an enormous job but big enough. For starters, they answered their phone. I know that sounds funny, but you'd be amazed how difficult it is to get anyone in the construction/contracting field to even acknowledge your presence, much less care about your issue. The ladies in the office were incredibly nice and friendly, and treated me as if they wanted my business, and not just another annoying customer they had to deal with. They scheduled an estimate right away. Then came Colin to do the estimate. We only had a brief exchange but he's so personable and friendly, I felt like we had been friends for a while. He gave it to me straight, which I appreciate, and the quote turned out to be less than I thought. After a return visit, it turns out one of the sides of my home was in worse shape than we originally thought, and it turned into a bigger job, which of course, meant more $$. Again, Colin was direct about the issue, but I could tell he also felt bad about delivering the news to me. It wasn't his fault I moved into an old house, but he handled the situation with care, which made a huge difference in how I reacted. We went ahead with everything and within a couple of weeks, the guys showed up to do the work. The whole job lasted 3 days in the hottest part of the summer. Poor guys! I work from home so I was with them the entire time, and again, it was if I had known them for a while. They were super friendly, incredibly positive, and did an amazing job. They walked me around the house where they had done work so I could make sure I was satisfied right there on the spot. I never once felt like they were slacking, or cutting corners. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Lastly came the final bill. And it ended up being about $1000 less than I was expecting! Woo hoo! Again, as I was squaring up with the ladies in the office, they were so kind, and personable. What that says to me is everyone enjoys where they work, who they work with, and really care about their customers. It makes a HUGE difference. I cannot recommend this company enough if you need any sort of work done. It doesn't matter who you talk to, you will walk away from the experience completely satisfied and confident that everything was handled with your best interest in mind.

The original estimate was done from the ground, however when the technician was able to get the unit out of the frame, (This is an old style window), we both saw that additional work had to be done. Garage door's as well as commercial door's are like anything else we have, everything needs maintenance. Things like this needs cleaning,parts replaced from usage and it's also subject to weather. Wow, take a moment to absorb that. I was charged a service call and for a couple small part's, but he didn't charge labor,surcharge, and other charges on my other estimates from other companies. I hope he stays around a long time. I will never use anyone else. Honest was understatement. 2 other neighbors came over seeing him at my home and two more job's because of reasonable, trusting and great feeling of not being taken advantage of. Funny he was on vacation and took care of us on his Time with family but did all three of our door's in about 2.5 hour's. So get estimate if you want, but as we were talking only thing he can't get is huge discounts like bigger corporation do, but after seeing what he charges and others still better deal because if new door is needed he tries to lower cost of service call or gives credit to referrals. So because of other neighbors he didn't charge me for service call. I'm so happy with door now, opening and closing faster,smoothly, omg much more quiet. So if you want to throw money away and support corporate companies taking advantage and charging double what they pay for doors and surcharge ect..save yourself a headache and call this small business owner and support honest,hard working American knowing he's not trying to go out of business. You won't pay for anything you Don't need. Even takes time to show you why, or what your parts look like compared to new part, explains how and why they wear out. So excited. ..everyone else made me think it was going to cost me $2000 - $2500 when after discount barely cost me $120. And other saved at least $1000. That's huge difference. We signed with Zen Windows at the end of July after being told--in writing--that installation would…read morehappen within 4-6 weeks. It's now mid-November, and not only are the windows still not installed, but the installation date was just pushed again to mid-December--almost five months after signing. We specifically reviewed the timeline because we wanted this done before it gets cold. We have booked dog daycare which has to be rescheduled, it affects our schedules, plans, and will massively impact our work, which is WFH. The measuring process was chaotic. The person sent to measure always gave last-minute notice and had to come out multiple times because they kept miscounting the number of windows--always short by one. Communication throughout this process has been terrible. You have to constantly follow up for updates; Zen never reaches out proactively or takes ownership of delays. Every update comes only after you chase them. When we brought up these issues, the company's response was to blame the original sales rep, who is "no longer with them." Convenient excuse, but the timeline and promises were in writing. Zen has taken no accountability for the misinformation or poor service. Yes, they may be cheaper than competitors, but you truly get what you pay for--unreliable timelines, lack of professionalism, and customer service that's downright egregious. Buyer beware!
