"We take credit cards," he said. I sent him on his way and called ARG Locksmith. Had a phone call and text exchange with Nicole, who assured me that they could do much better. Gus was professional, helpful, and kind. He took the lock apart and found fragments of a small broken spring jamming up the works. He removed it, cleaned and lubricated the inside, tested the mechanism, and had me turn the key and the interior knob several time to ensure that I was satisfied with the repair. The cost was ARG's minimum service fee -- a fraction of what the other guy quoted me -- and the lock glides like new. Gus even apologized for the poor treatment I had received from the first locksmith. He assured me that he was available 24/7 if I needed further help. ARG not only repaired my lock and saved me hundreds but also restored my faith in the goodness of people. I have the utmost respect for those who take pride in their work and do business fairly. I stopped in to the store on Friday and was looking for a matte black lock and info on installation. I had already purchased a new knob when it occurred to me I'm not all that handy. The very nice gentleman that helped me (sorry I can't recall his name) was very helpful. He gave me the rundown on pricing and installation, including the knob I had already purchased. I was ready to buy! To my surprise, he told me Monday was the soonest they could get someone out to me. I was shocked, as Monday was a holiday and I was sure I'd wait about a week, before they could get to me. I booked the 10-12 window and was on my way. Jim, the installer/locksmith called (as I was told he would) and informed me that he had a cancellation and could come at 9:15am if I'd like. I did like and Jim was at my door right on time.
