Super friendly service. Convenient location. Nice little inside seating area. Great smiles when we went in. But I'm from NY and this pizza didn't meet the best pizza I've ever had. But for Newberry MI It was good. It was fresh, it was cooked in the wood fire oven, but It wasn't too crunchy. The crust was also a bit "flat". But service goes a long way. They were super friendly when I called and they were friendly when we picked up. That tells me they care a lot. They also had some dessert bars in the fridge and I got a lemon blueberry bar. It was good. I love lemon desserts. I also had a Hiawatha pasty. It was a good homemade pasty with lots of potatoes. It was interesting and homely. Not sure if I'd eat one again, but I was trying something local. We also hear the salads here are really good and big. I definitely should have ordered one. But maybe next time we are here. Again, I would definitely use them again. But It doesn't compare to other pizzas I've had.

We were hungry passing through town and found this place by chance. The waitress, an older lady but so hospitable. We ordered a pizza to share, OMGOSH best pizza ever!! And we have eaten pizza around the world including Italy and Seder's have a secret to their recipe ON TOP of their wood fired oven. SO DELICIOUS! What a hidden gem!!

Amazing food, place is a little small, we were a huge group so we took mostly all the seating. Pizza was amazing, lots of toppings, the cheese bread was delicious as well. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming. They even gave us some tips on where to find local pasties that are good.

Great Food. Just know that they close dining room earlier than stated hours but you can still get a great pizza and take it home.

The menu is pretty large, with lots of options for coffee and non-coffee drinkers. The first visit I got a medium iced latte with English toffee syrup. They told me that the medium lattes have two shots of espresso and asked if that was okay - appreciated that check in (and it was definitely okay!). The latte was good, I was hoping for a bit stronger espresso flavor, but it did the trick. Nate got the Yooper latte, which was a s'mores flavored drink that was sweet and delicious. On our next visit, I got an iced coffee with vanilla cold foam, which was so tasty! Nate got a cappuccino that was nicely balanced. The employees we interacted with (younger, students?) were all SUPER polite and friendly. Great customer service! The shop is cute and rustic and they have items for sale like mugs, shirts, stickers, cards, etc. I'll be back!

It was busy with very little order or space to serve customers well. The 3-person staff were hustling to work the counter and the drive thru but it all looked and felt chaotic on an August Friday around 11:15 am. The casual vibe was overshadowed by a general lack of organization and intention in appearance. For a small space, there was too much clutter. The photos here display the best features: good detail on drinks to order, hardworking staff behind the counter, and a lovely, positive thought. Cleanliness also left something to be desired. Looks like a good deep clean is in order. We ordered two mochas as we have been traveling the UP this past week and stopping in a new local coffeeshop daily in search of the best mocha. We were disappointed by these mochas: warm but not hot, thin and runny, way too sweet. Even the small decaf brewed coffee was meh. Our standards are high and most other small town coffee shops in the UP have exceeded them. The hardworking staff were the best part of this experience and deserve a shout out. The place is busy (little competition in the area) and apparently not well-run.

My friend and I got drinks, and before even touching anything, she ASKED WHAT KIND OF MILK (like normal drink making businesses usually do) & she was very sweet and reminded us they also have cold foam, i asked her for oat milk due to me having a sensitivity with dairy (i am not lactose intolerant just to be clear, but whole milk makes me NAUSEOUS) Day one went perfectly fine with no issues at all. Day 2 I go in & Brandon Brown is working. I only know of him, because it's a small town and some people tend to stand out more than others, not always in a good way...anyways, i walk in and say hi. I am immediately dismissed/ignored and stared at for five whole minutes, while we were looking at the menu, because I was honestly taken aback by the blatant ignorance, and for no reason? We order the same thing as the day before, but I was distracted by the interaction between us and this person, so I forgot to ask for oat milk. He made the drinks iced instead of a frappe, but I wasn't upset, I let him help the man in line, and then politely said "we ordered these as frappes," and he remade them very efficiently, and we waited for our other friend that was ordering. The drink itself was delicious, so I didn't notice the whole milk until over half way in, because I tend to drink my beverages rather quickly. I felt nauseous, like I was about to throw up the entire drink, because he was too ignorant to even say hi or use this thing called customer service. In my experience with businesses that make drinks like that, I have ALWAYS been asked what kind of milk I prefer, he was not interested in caring about any of that, let alone even greeting the people walking in. That is not personality, that is pure ignorance, and if that's what him and his friends want to defend, I think that says A LOT about them ALL. We went back the next day, because there was a different girl working. SHE ASKED what kind of milk we wanted, BOTH OF US. We met up with two more friends and ordered pizza later that day, again, because we thought he wasn't working, otherwise I would have CANCELED our $70 order (large cheese sticks, large dill pickle pizza, and a medium gluten free chicken bacon ranch pizza), mind you the gluten free crust is a $6 up charge and the medium pizzas are like $20 already. I put our order in, ten minutes later, he walks out, and I immediately regret my order. We wait 40 minutes (told us it would be about 25). Brandon hands us our food, so again i'm thrown off because of our last interaction, and yes this is my fault, but I forgot to ask for extra marinara (not knowing that the cheese sticks didn't even come with any) and ranch. I hope everyone knows that I tried to contact the manager and/or owners to address this issue, just to get no answer or call back; and to find out that they actually EXCUSE AND ENCOURAGE this behavior, and he will be working there with his horrible attitude and customer service in the meantime, so I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Located inside Palms Book State Park, this natural spring was one of the most unique and beautiful places we visited. The water is crystal clear all the way to the bottom, and you can easily see fish swimming below. The baristas took the time to ask what we were looking for and helped us navigate the menu. The drinks were delicious, and we enjoyed them enough to stop by two days in a row while visiting Mackinaw City. On the first day, I ordered the Coconut Paradise. It was a little heavy on the ice, likely because it was made by a barista in training, but the flavor was well balanced. It was smooth, not too tart, and not overly sweet. The only downside was that the extra ice made it difficult to stir. We also tried the Bird's Eye Latte, which was sweet, flavorful, and very enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who prefers sweeter coffee drinks. On our second visit, I ordered the Maple Harvest Cold Brew. Since it uses real maple syrup, it took some effort to mix thoroughly, and I didn't notice the maple flavor until after stirring. We also tried the matcha, which wasn't sweet and had the rich, earthy green tea flavor that I love. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great drink in Mackinaw City!
