We called an order in at 6:45, shortly before they closed on Memorial Day. Using the original Seder dough recipe, the delicious, thin, crisp crust is made in-house daily with sesame seeds. Our 14" pepperoni pizza cut into 8 slices had homemade sauce, lots of gooey cheese, large pepperoni slices and was baked in a wood-fired brick oven. AMAZING taste! After a 30 minute wait for a large 3 topping pizza costing me 30 dollars i was greeted with unfriendly staff and a soggy mess of a "pizza" cut into squares Could barely pick it up it was paper thin and slopped as soon as you tried to remove it from the box they give it to you in. Seder's Pizza is an independent small town pizza place with okay pizza (nothing fancy) and fast and friendly service. We were surprised how busy it was at 4:30 PM on a weekday! There are about six tables for indoor dining and also a couple picnic tables for eating outdoors. read more

Super friendly service. Convenient location. Nice little inside seating area. Great smiles when we went in. But I'm from NY and this pizza didn't meet the best pizza I've ever had. But for Newberry MI It was good. It was fresh, it was cooked in the wood fire oven, but It wasn't too crunchy. The crust was also a bit "flat". But service goes a long way. They were super friendly when I called and they were friendly when we picked up. That tells me they care a lot. They also had some dessert bars in the fridge and I got a lemon blueberry bar. It was good. I love lemon desserts. I also had a Hiawatha pasty. It was a good homemade pasty with lots of potatoes. It was interesting and homely. Not sure if I'd eat one again, but I was trying something local. We also hear the salads here are really good and big. I definitely should have ordered one. But maybe next time we are here. This is your typical non-descript local Pizza stop that is simply wonderful. The dining area is clean, small and simple, but the pizza is amazing. Some of the best pepperoni and onion pizza we've ever had. The crust is unique and very tasty. The service was good, though busy on a Saturday night. We returned two days later. Just had to get more. My friends and I ate dinner there on 10/15 after a day of sightseeing around Tahquamenon Falls. The restaurant was very small, but the food was delicious. We ordered a half pepperoni/half pepperoni with vegetables pizza and cheese breadsticks, which were really just cheese on a thick pizza crust cut into strips and served with marinara sauce. Everything was delicious; I loved the crispy crust and lots of gooey cheese. The pepperoni and vegetables were plentiful. I could only eat 2 pieces of pizza and 2 breadsticks, so we had plenty left over and it was great warmed up the next day. I'd recommend giving this place a try if you're in Newberry! read more

We were bouncing around attractions in the UP - and got to Newberry around 2:00 - looking for food. Rather than go to one of the chains outside of town, we saw the sign for Seder's. The time of day for offering pizza slices was past, but thought, well... let's see what's there. Turned out surprisingly eclectic and good pizza for a small town. We got something called the Boom Boom Pizza which was a unique sauce - somewhat like spicy thousand island dressing - and toppings of sausage, mushrooms, and black olives. Service was friendly and fast. Not many tables. Only reason for not a 5 is that pizzas were all one-size fits all (14"). But if that works for you; you're likely to be quite happy here. read more

Was in UP for hiking vacation and stayed at AirBnB in Newberry. Had pizza one night at Seder's. Pizza was solid, better than a chain pizza place but not as special as other wood fired neopolitan pizza restaurants we have eaten at. Hand tossed pizza with dough that made me think of an Olive Garden bread stick. We had the Chicken Ranch specialty and it was tasty. Was best meal we had in Newberry. Was looking for something different than the usual pizza. Tried this place for the first time since moving here 4 years ago. I ordered a Philly Steak Sub,, hold the green pepper as I am highly allergic to them. It had mushroom, onion and provolone cheese on it. One excellent sandwich and it really hit the spot! Looking for a good place to eat in the middle of nowhere used to be impossible- until Yelp came along :) I saw this place and its high rating and wonderful pics- and decided to try it out. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside was so cute! Someone who is very talented designed it- from the handmade tables to the walls. Wood and metal is how I'd describe it. Very cool. The place was very clean and smelled great! Two guys were working, and it looks like they only sell one size pizza which is genius! I ordered one, along with some "stinkie sticks"- which are breadsticks with a ton of garlic butter and Romano cheese. The pizza was thrown into the coolest brick and fire pizza oven and came out quickly. The breadsticks were decent. Not fabulous, but omg the pizza was amazing! The ingredients were fresh, the pepperoni was big and yet thin and perfect, the crust and sauce were to die for. And it was cheap! Ya! A guy walked in and grabbed a slice of cheesecake from the fridge. What? Cheesecake???? So we grabbed a couple as well. Yum! The guys were very friendly and we left very happy. The last time we were up in the UP (thats the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for you out-of-staters) we had pizza here at Seders. Seders makes a hole-in-the-wall place look snazzy, but for what they lack in style ( 5 different menu boards from 3 different eras I think) they more than make up for in taste!!! My wife and I went with the pizza, and it was absolutley, hands down, the best pizza I have ever had!! And as attributed to by my ample waistline, I've had a lot of different pizzas.
