Sedona Taphouse in Fredericksburg, VA I stopped by Sedona Taphouse in Fredericksburg and was seated fairly close to my check-in time, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable, and the TVs were showing the latest games, making it easy to relax and catch a match if you're into that. Food-wise, I tried a few appetizers, a main course, and dessert. The crab-stuffed shrimp stood out--they were quite good. They didn't come out piping hot, which is how I personally like my dishes, but the flavors were solid and overall I enjoyed them. For dessert, the crème brûlée was okay--nothing groundbreaking, but it hit the spot. The beer selection is a major plus; they always have one of my favorite beers available, which helped cap the night on a high note. Overall, a satisfying experience with friendly vibes, solid bites, and a go-to beer lineup. I'd consider returning to try more starters and perhaps gauge if they can hit that extra-hot temp I prefer. Would I return? Probably, especially if I'm craving their crab-stuffed shrimp and a dependable beer lineup. If you're particular about hot plates, you might want to nudge the server a bit about temp, and you'll be set for a good night.

The inside is decorated nice and fancy. The staff is friendly and upbeat. We came here today for my adult children's birthday for lunch. My daughter ordered the pasta. My son ordered the sliders, my wife ordered the salmon and I ordered the cheeseburger and fries. Our food was delivered by other staff and our server was MIA the whole meal. Couldn't even get a refill on my tea. Very disappointing service on my children's birthday.

We were so excited to come back after we had a great experience the first time. Unfortunately that was not the case today. Service wasn't good, we waited over 30 min for our food after ordering and our waiter didn't check on us once during that time to get our drink order. For food- we ordered the nachos again since we loved them the first time. First off they were clearly way smaller than last time and unfortunately they barely had any queso (picture included for comparison of the nachos this time vs last). They also didn't have enough pulled pork, and a lot of it were pieces of gristle. I asked for more queso and explained that they didn't have enough and was never told it would be an extra charge. I was dissapointed when we got the check and thought it was greedy to charge extra when they didn't have enough to begin with. As we were all still eating our server seemed to be in a hurry to get us out. He was taking the plates away from us while we were clearly still eating and had food in our mouths and plates. He finally apologized when he took away my daughter's plate only to realize that she literally was holding half of her sandwich and taking a bite. It was weird and uncomfortable that he was MIA for such a long time when we actually needed him but was all over us when we were eating. Food was ok-ish, the Cuban sandwich wasn't hot, the nachos were a let down and the STH hamburger was decent. Time to look for a new restaurant for our next trip to Fredericksburg.

Happy hour options were plentiful and delicious--we got the devil's pass dip and mules! Then for dinner, I had the land & sea with a filet and Brussel sprouts. My partner had the Monday dine out for charity flat iron steak. Both options were wonderful.

My man took me here and it's a hidden gem. Our food was so delicious and we weren't waiting long for it either. The appetizer was one like I haven't seen before ! It was soooo good.

Came here for a girls night dinner and service speed and attentiveness was great. The place is currently decorated for the holidays so it's very festive and fun. We used yelp to book our reservation and it only allows up to 4 people so had to then call to update to a larger party size. We were sat at a booth so 5 was a tad tight with all the food and drinks, but we made it work. Food was great. I can't wait to go back!

Great atmosphere, delicious food and good service. We sat outside enjoying the great weather for dinner as we catches up with old friends. The wife and I shared the Spicy Thai Shrimp which was absolutely the best! They hit a nice little spice but nothing overbearing. And the big entree was the Handcut NY Strip that hit the spot. Service overall was good but definitely felt like we were being rushed even after we advised the server at the beginning that we were all catching up as we hadn't seen each other in such a long time so we apologized we weren't in a rush to order food but definitely keep the drinks flowing This restaurant has it a great ambiance that allows for a group of friends to catch up, a big bar area if you're just wanting to be alone or away, as well as areas that allow for more intimate meet ups.

Love love love Sedona taphouse! The service is great. The food is also amazing and comes out to perfection the last few times I have been there. Also in a great location that is easy to walk to. Can't wait to go again when I am in town.

Tried to order three different beers, and every one of them was "not available today," which is restaurant talk for "the truck's late and so are we." Artie the bartender just gave this little shoulder shrug that said, "Partner, I don't make the rules, I just open the bottles." The place itself helped the afternoon along. The building is laid out so you can see just about everything from your stool: bar, tables, who's coming in the door, and whether your food is on its way. Sightlines were wide open, nothing cluttered or cramped, and the whole joint looked super clean, like somebody actually cares what it looks like before the crowd shows up. So we did what any sensible, thirsty people would do: picked two other beers, ordered some apps, and decided not to take life--or the tap list--too seriously. The beer we got was cold, the food was hot, and Artie turned out to be the kind of bartender you come back to see more than you come back for the menu. We'll be back, too. Lewis would've gotten a whole column out of that shrug. The food was excellent, too. The fish bites alone just about made the afternoon; if the beer list had completely fallen apart, we still would've called it a win on those.

Since learning that, we have made our own oyster tradition and seek to have them in January because it can't hurt! I saw that Port Oysteria was participating in FXBG restaurant week which is happening now and thought it was a great opportunity for us to try someplace new and get our oysters. While we did not order anything from the restaurant week specials (there was only one at lunch, and a couple more after 3pm) my wife and I did enjoy a nice lunch today. The chargrilled oysters were just right for us to share as a starter and very tasty. My wife had the fried oyster po-boy and I had the blackened grouper sandwich; both were delicious. The coleslaw was good as was the Parmesan mashed potatoes. There is a good beer selection on tap and an interesting cocktail list. Our first beer choice was out, but our backup choices were good. Service was good but the restaurant was not very busy. The atmosphere is interesting with moody, dark painted walls and bold murals and a mix of '90s grunge and alt-pop music in the background. We definitely want to go back for dinner sometime and try more of the menu.

For dinner on our first night, we opted to give Brocks Riverside Grill a try and we were not disappointed. Our waitress, Mckewen, was super friendly and helpful with both ordering selections when both of us have Shellfish allergies and later pairing our entrees with wines. For starters, we ordered drinks. My wife ordered a glass of Chardonnay and I ordered a Spicy Margarita. We shared an appetizer of Crispy Brussel Sprouts and bread rolls that came with a delicious oil and garlic dipping sauce. The main dining area was sparsely attended by other dinner patrons, with large windows to one side overlooking the river. For entrees, my wife selected the Roasted Beet Poke Bowl which she described as "light and refreshing" and I ordered the 16-oz Marinated Ribeye, cooked to Medium along with sides of mixed Seasonal Vegetables (sliced Zucchini & Squash) and Redskins Mashed potatoes with an order of mushrooms to go on top of the steak. I also ordered a nice glass of Merlot wine to go with it. The portions were generous, and the entrees perfectly prepared, and very tasty. If there was any fault at all, it was that the ribeye was a little too laden with a ring of fat rather than simply marbled, but otherwise no complaints. For dessert, I ordered a slice of Key Lime Pie and my wife ordered Crème Brûlée. Both were appealing to the eye and each bite beckoned us to take another bite. It is certainly someplace we would go to again.

It had been over a year and, frankly, I expected it to be way busier for a Friday evening. Trying to beat the rush, we arrived around 5:30pm... cue eating with the seniors. Our waitress, Jennifer, was friendly and wonderful during the entire visit. While we were looking at the menu, she warned us the kitchen was backed up about 40 minutes, so that pushed us to put in an order of fried calamari. The calamari took about 10 minutes to come out, which was totally reasonable. The bowl of calamari was served with a side of marinara and spicy mayo. The breading (homemade) was nice and thick, not too greasy. The two downsides of it is that the calamari were overcooked, which led them to being rubbery, and the breading was a bit salty. Given Jennifer had told us the kitchen staff was training, we gave them some grace and ate the calamari anyway. For my entree, I had a combo platter. There's various combos to pick from; I chose the fish fillet and crab cake. You can choose between 4-5 types of fish (I went for flounder) and whether you want it grilled or fried. The crab cake was awesome and had very little filler. All platters come with 4 hush puppies (they were very good!) and two sides of your choosing. I opted for coleslaw, which was creamy and semi sweet but not much (I prefer that over the vinegar base coleslaw), and candied yams. My husband had the two fish fillet platter with a side of mac n' cheese and coleslaw. Overall, the food was super good. Despite the appetizer, we enjoyed our dinner and look forward to returning again.
