    Chicken tenders

The decor of dog portraits was adorable. Our waiter was friendly and consistently coming back to ensure we were ok. That was great customer service! The food was good. We got the pickled chips, salmon with onion rings, fish and chips, and chicken tenders. I have to say the chicken tenders were tender! All the protein was nicely prepared.

First time in Downtown Fredericksburg and wanted to try out Harry's after hearing good things about this restaurant. On a Saturday evening; this place was lively. Crowded but not overly. We didn't have to wait long for a table. The place is decorated with dog pictures... you can't help but swoon at each and every one. I am happy to learn Harry's Downtown donates a portion of their sales to the local animal shelter. Onto the food review portion! I ordered the blackened mahi-mahi entree, and my friend had the bourbon burger. My dish was pretty underwhelming tbh. The fish was very bland and slightly too overcooked for my liking. I was also not a fan of the sides. Everything tasted bland and overcooked. The margherita flatbread on the other hand was fresh, delicious and the highlight of my meal.

After another restaurant across the street had a wait time of 45 minutes (at 5:30pm), we gave Harry's a try. The food and ambiance at Harry's has never disappointed, so why not? We were immediately seated and our waitress came by a few minutes after. After asking for a drink menu, she mentioned they were out of a few beers because they're in the process of switching to new ones with spring here. Drinks took a little long to come out but not a big deal. For an appetizer we had the Reuben Egg Rolls (2 cut in half to make 4 pieces), which were served with a side of thousand island. They were excellent and the kitchen didn't skimp on the corned beef. Harry's burgers have never disappointed, so for my main I decided to order the Apple Bacon Bleu Burger. Rather than having it on a bun I asked to have it served over a salad (it's an option they offer for a $4 up charge). The salad was very good and filling. This is the way to go if you want a burger but want to keep it healthy (this option does not come with a side of fries; it's just the burger salad). My husband had the Charleston Chicken sandwich, which was a massive fried chicken breast. While it looked great, he said it was underwhelming because the chicken was too big and tough. Had the chicken breast been smaller, it likely would've been juicy. His sandwich came with a side and he opted for coleslaw, which was very good (just the perfect amount of sweet). Overall, if nearby restaurant have a long wait, give Harry's a try. Staff is friendly, there's outdoor seating and food is always good.

    Chicken Tostado Salad

A cute location on the stretch of Williams Street in Fredericksburg, Harry's Downtown was a very comfortable lunch spot. We came with a slightly larger group and were seated almost immediately which made it much easier to get right into our real priority, eating! The onion rings are large, cooked very well, and breaded with extra flavor baked in. The chicken tostado salad was fantastic, the tostado adding both flavor and texture to a well dressing-ed plate. And the burger of the week was very creative! A pickle aioli topped burger with pickle chips and fried pickles, the flavor was surprisingly more like a normal burger than expected. Still very well done and fun to boot.

Actually not a bad place but they definitely have some areas they can improve on. I had the shrimp tacos. They were actually pretty good. But I ordered the garlic butter broccoli as a side which is a $5 charge because it's considered a premium side. Now considering broccoli isn't considered premium anywhere in the world, this has to be some epic broccoli. Well it wasn't and the portion was disappointing too considering the price point. You know how much broccoli I can get for $5. Anyway, didn't taste much like garlic butter. Also my kid had the flatbread with fruit. Looked like canned fruit. The chicken focaccia meal my wife had was actually spot on. Service was pretty decent and the dog themed thing I just didn't get. Well it wasn't bad just not something I would try again personally. But always willing to try out something new.

Burger was legit. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars because I don't hand them out all Willy-nilly. But if you like burgers definitely check them out. Not sure about the other items. The burgers are 7 oz and the kitchen cooked it perfectly. Additionally the service was excellent and friendly. Keep doing what you're doing.

We had an excellent dining experience at Harry's Downtown. The food was delicious, especially the crab dip, which was our favorite. The atmosphere was also enjoyable, feeling like a vacation oasis on the patio with warm weather and music. We ordered: Crab Dip Penne Alfredo Roasted Beet Salad Carnitas Tacos Pear and Walnut Flatbread

The food is well cooked and served hot. I wished I could have tried a lot more of the menu... but it was a quick stop on the way home from a beach vacation. For such a small restaurant... there are a lot of seats and looks to be able to even host a large party of 15-20 on a long bench. The Gus burger was hearty, beef patty was thick and delicious... the fries are interesting... like a hybrid between a fry and potato chip. The onion rings are large and seem to have a funnel cake coating! Crispy and well fried. The French toast is thick and fluffy and the bread density is amazing! My daughter also enjoyed the bagel and cream cheese... The BLT is filled with beautiful pieces of ham and turkey... it's so hearty! Fantastic! A "must try" and one we'll visit often…read more We're in the process of moving to Fburg and decided to have a nice dinner. I looked through Yelp and picked F132 as our first meal in the new town. Great choice! We didn't have a reservation, and it was Friday at 6pm, so we were placed on the bar seating wait list. We were seated in 20-25 minutes, which was super fast and great with us. Lesson learned for next time, make a reservation. But, if you choose or wind up at the bar, the service is great and seating is comfortable. The bartender was with us quickly and walked us through the Happy Hour specials. Drinks, apps, etc. they had a good variety of things in HH and many seemed interesting. But we were there for steak, so we let him know and he took our orders. In the meantime, he got us waters and bread service. While we waited, we watched the bar staff make some amazing concoctions including smoked old fashioneds, and all manner of flavors, textures, and mixtures. I don't really do cocktails but there were egg whites, chocolate sauce, fruits, mints and great presentations. They also were serving HH food and the Happy Dog looked filling: the truffle fries were served in what looked like multi-pound platters. I had the filet with French onion soup and corn salad. My wife had filet with mashed potatoes and black eyed peas. The bartender explained sides change frequently and are selected by what is available farm fresh. The corn salad was a sort of chilled street corn with some peppers and stuff. Very good and the corn was so fresh. French onion soup was delish! Absolutely perfect. Black eyed peas were great. I didn't try the mashed potatoes. The steak was the star. I don't know what's in their house rub, but it's perfect. And the steaks are cooked under an 1800 degree broiler so they get that perfect sear. Both were cooked at the perfect temperature. And the meat was trimmed so there was nothing but butter-tender beef. Let me be clear-THIS IS THE BEST STEAK I'VE EVER HAD! The service was perfect. My glass never fell below 2/3 full, and we never were waiting on service, but it was non intrusive and really made the experience so much better. A++! Wherever you are reading this, stop what you are doing, and RUN, don't walk to Fahrenheit 132. You'll thank me later.

For dinner on our first night, we opted to give Brocks Riverside Grill a try and we were not disappointed. Our waitress, Mckewen, was super friendly and helpful with both ordering selections when both of us have Shellfish allergies and later pairing our entrees with wines. For starters, we ordered drinks. My wife ordered a glass of Chardonnay and I ordered a Spicy Margarita. We shared an appetizer of Crispy Brussel Sprouts and bread rolls that came with a delicious oil and garlic dipping sauce. The main dining area was sparsely attended by other dinner patrons, with large windows to one side overlooking the river. For entrees, my wife selected the Roasted Beet Poke Bowl which she described as "light and refreshing" and I ordered the 16-oz Marinated Ribeye, cooked to Medium along with sides of mixed Seasonal Vegetables (sliced Zucchini & Squash) and Redskins Mashed potatoes with an order of mushrooms to go on top of the steak. I also ordered a nice glass of Merlot wine to go with it. The portions were generous, and the entrees perfectly prepared, and very tasty. If there was any fault at all, it was that the ribeye was a little too laden with a ring of fat rather than simply marbled, but otherwise no complaints. For dessert, I ordered a slice of Key Lime Pie and my wife ordered Crème Brûlée. Both were appealing to the eye and each bite beckoned us to take another bite. It is certainly someplace we would go to again.
