    CRUNCHY TUNA
    April P.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, we stopped by for brunch Rebellion FXBG and was blown away by the flavor-packed experience. This place delivers on both presentation and punch. Ramsey Bolton Burger: This beast of a burger features double smash patties, gooey cheddar, and a generous heap of smoky-sweet bacon jam--all stacked on a perfectly toasted sesame bun. The flavor is rich and indulgent without being overwhelming. Every bite was juicy, with the bacon jam adding a savory-sweet finish that made it hard to put down. Paired with crispy, golden fries served in a copper cup, it's comfort food turned gourmet. Crunchy Tuna: The ahi tuna was seared to a delicate rare, crusted beautifully with bold seasoning and topped with crispy noodles. The citrus aioli and charred lime on the side added a bright contrast that cut through the richness. Light, fresh, and full of texture--it's a standout starter or light entrée. Rebellion isn't just about burgers--it's about bold flavors and elevated bar food done right. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty, crave-worthy burger or something lighter like their ahi tuna, this spot hits the mark. Bonus points for great plating and that laid-back, open-air vibe.

Really nice bar! Bartender was great. Old fashioned was pretty decent and the beers were good as well. Also had the Big Mamma Grilled Cheese sandwich with tomato soup and the Ramsay Bolton burger with fries. Both were delish. Highly recommend the burger!

Let me start with the number ONE reason that pushed this establishment to only 3 out of 5 stars and it had absolutely nothing to do with the food, the drinks or the customer service. Of the 5-6 servers on the floor and including the bartenders, every last one of them have run their hands through their hair at least 3-12 times to either push it out of their face, around their ears before, during and after serving food and drinks and never washing their hands. Now I worked in food service for years in my younger days and I was taught proper hygiene at home as well as in the work place and they really need to do better than this. I challenge the manager to just stand and watch your staff and you will clearly see what I saw. Now it may be a nervous tick for some, but not everyone. The food and drinks were both good, but that was the biggest regret for me patronizing this business. Here is a suggestion, have everyone put their hair up however they want and stop touching your hair and frequently wash your hands.

First time here. Pretty cool setting and bar, awesome to see that is a family restaurant even though the bar. Bartender was very helpful giving suggestions and offering options. The wings were great, unique smoky flavor and great bourbon maple sauce; the nachos are great to share or for one, meat on nachos very nice seasoned and the nachos are light; the chicken sandwich was a delicious mess. Ive heard about the brussels sprouts, I got a side of brussels, and sadly is the only item I ate to not waste, but did not enjoy, brussels are served in a bowl were the oil gets pooled. Overall, price was reasonable, bar food was great, definitely going back!

3.5? I liked what I had and service was good. I think I'd need to return for a better sense of the place, but neither did I have any complaints. My group was looking for a bit fore lunch and this was convenient. They advertise the drink menu but I wasn't looking for alcohol, so got a cuban sandwich with fries. In fact, everyone at my table got fries, so it was fries all around! Not to be outdone with fries, we also got some tater tots that were smothered in ranch. I filled up on so many tots, I was mostly full by the time I got to my sandwich. The place was kinda dark, but that was my only complaint.

Came in for happy hour drinks on a weeknight recently and sat at the bar. The bartender who took care of us was helpful and friendly. They have a nice happy hour menu, which I seem to recall from previous visits a couple of years ago. Drinks were really nice, even the sangria was freshly made. I wasn't too impressed with my last visit, several years ago and hadn't gone back, but this visit was nice.

Have been here for drinks previously and finally stopped to try food for restaurant week. Not a huge bourbon/whiskey fan but decided to give Jimmy at the savoy a try and it wasn't bad once the ice started to melt and make it a little less strong. The wings with ranch were great, and we enjoyed the tempura shrimp and rice cake appetizer. Our lamb chops seemed a bit under cooked and luckily they fixed it for us and helped compensate with a discount on the bill. Server was great, she was attentive and helpful with knowing drinks and the menu. Went on a Wednesday so it wasn't busy or loud, but with the fire going we left smelling like a camp fire. Will surely be back for more appetizers and drinks.

We love the whole vibe of this spot. From when you enter and see the exposed beams to when you travel downstairs to the Armory with a it's speak-easy feel, you are somewhere that feels historic. Highly recommend tots with anything you get- they have a ranch seasoning that adds the perfect touch. Service can be hit or miss because they're always busy but we've never felt that it throws us off from coming back.

A sports feel but when we arrived right after lunch the place was quiet. The service was friendly and fast. The Cubano I got and the grilled cheese my wife ordered were both good as were the fries.

Arr mateys Captin 619 here! Let me tell ye about me recent voyage to Rebellion Bourbon Bar & Kitchen FXBG. This place be a hidden treasure, with grub fit for a pirate king like meself. I tried the wedge salad, and let me tell ye, the flavor be as big as the waves at Mavericks, and the portion be as hearty as a pirate's feast. The prices be fair and just, and the ambience upstairs be as classy as a fine schooner sailing into the sunset. If ye be in Virginia and in need of a spot to satiate yer hunger, look no further than Rebellion Bourbon Bar & Kitchen FXBG. Me and me crew of scallywags enjoyed a feast fit for a king for under $100, a steal for the quality and quantity of food we received. So hoist the sails and set a course for Rebellion Bourbon Bar & Kitchen FXBG, me hearties! Aaarrrr!

Ambiance, drinks, and service 9/10! The staff was so friendly and the space is small, but MIGHTY! The ambiance starts at the door as you're greeted by the spinning logo light....REALLY COOL! The bourbon choices are endless....I'm a FAN!

Today's venue of choice was a place called Rivers End, which sounds like either a cocktail bar or a warning label, depending on how your day's going. It starts off a little funny because you have to figure out the right door, then march yourself up the stairs like you're reporting for duty. Once you get up there, though, it feels like the kind of cool old place that's seen some things. You can almost feel the years rolling by, from Caribbean rum days to whiskey nights to the modern era of "smart cocktails," where they put things like herbs and intentions in your drink. The vibe was right. Cocktails were great--strong enough to matter, smooth enough not to apologize for. The food was excellent across the board, the kind that makes you stop talking for a minute so you can do some serious fork work. Most important, our waiter Shane was dead on the mark: there when you needed him, gone when you didn't, and never once tried to explain the menu like we'd just landed from Ohio for the first time. I can't find a single thing to complain about, which for me is almost a complaint in itself. Good value, good food, and a good scene--about all you can ask from an afternoon you're not spending at work. Next visit will be brunch, and I hope it's soon. For dinner on our first night, we opted to give Brocks Riverside Grill a try and we were not disappointed. Our waitress, Mckewen, was super friendly and helpful with both ordering selections when both of us have Shellfish allergies and later pairing our entrees with wines. For starters, we ordered drinks. My wife ordered a glass of Chardonnay and I ordered a Spicy Margarita. We shared an appetizer of Crispy Brussel Sprouts and bread rolls that came with a delicious oil and garlic dipping sauce. The main dining area was sparsely attended by other dinner patrons, with large windows to one side overlooking the river. For entrees, my wife selected the Roasted Beet Poke Bowl which she described as "light and refreshing" and I ordered the 16-oz Marinated Ribeye, cooked to Medium along with sides of mixed Seasonal Vegetables (sliced Zucchini & Squash) and Redskins Mashed potatoes with an order of mushrooms to go on top of the steak. I also ordered a nice glass of Merlot wine to go with it. The portions were generous, and the entrees perfectly prepared, and very tasty. If there was any fault at all, it was that the ribeye was a little too laden with a ring of fat rather than simply marbled, but otherwise no complaints. For dessert, I ordered a slice of Key Lime Pie and my wife ordered Crème Brûlée. Both were appealing to the eye and each bite beckoned us to take another bite. It is certainly someplace we would go to again.
