    Chips and salsa

I loved the service here it was very quick from being seated to our orders being taken and our food being served. It was a Saturday afternoon and the bar area was packed. There were a few tables left and we were seated at one of their last tables. We ordered the enchiladas, tacos de asada, and fajita fries. We were also served chips and salsa while we waited for our food. I liked the fajita fries but the meat was a little under seasoned and overcooked which I didn't mind. The taco meat felt the same way but because of the sauce and the taste of grilled meat in general, I didn't hate the tacos. The enchiladas were really good and came with chicken, beef, beans, and one other protein I don't remember.

Late on a Thursday night, we needed dinner and had been recommended to Agave. The wait was not great but understandable since it is a smaller (and very cute) space. The staff was very friendly and helpful, very accommodating to us and a sleepy, hungry toddler (iykyk). The drinks were fantastic The food was good too, but the reason for a 4, not 5, slightly underwhelmed on the flavor.

A pretty place to enjoy Mexican food on Fredericksburg. The drinks are definitely on point. I ordered a pear margarita and my mom got the house grave margarita. Both were surprisingly good. Also surprisingly good was the chips and salsa. For food, we shared the Carne Asada and shrimp fajitas. The restaurant itself is pretty quaint, your neighborhood Mexican spot. Service was attentive and pretty efficient. I look forward to going back. Hope this helps!

Another great and super busy visit as it was First Friday in downtown FXBG. When we arrived we put our name down for a table and it was about 35ish min later we had a table. During that time Agave had a drink table set up outside and we were able to sip and stroll. I enjoyed being able to order from the brunch menu as it's an all day thing. Got the taco salad and it was yummy!!! Drinks as always were awesome!

Started with their signature margarita flight, which was 4 amazing cocktails. I then had the burrito Californian. It was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and recommended their specialty that they had to offer. The place was extremely busy and the atmosphere was fun. I definitely will be back!

Oh my lord I've never in my life had a better burrito. The only thing I ever eat at Mexican restaurants is burritos, and I've eaten at tons of mexican places. Hands down the best burrito I've ever had, I felt on cloud nine. Thank you for this culinary masterpiece. I WILL be back.

This little restaurant is a Tex-Mex gem of FXBG. Been here multiple times, and it never disappoints! Even during rush hour the service is decently fast and very friendly. The food is always fresh, hot, and super flavorful! We tried their margarita flight which was garnished super cute, and after ordering the full-size house margaritas were shocked by the huge size for a great price. The outdoor seating is wonderful during warmer weather, and the inside is super cozy, clean, and well-decorated too. Perfect for a family/friend lunch or dinner or a date! My mouth is watering already just thinking about this place and I'm looking forward to coming back here when I'm in town again!

The food is always amazing but the drinks are arguably one of my favorites that I go to Agave for. Will makes them so amazing every time. The drinks look too perfect to drink, but every time they taste just as good as they look! The service is always amazing and it's a great place to bring a date or go out with a bunch of friends!

Walked downtown to eat and stopped at agave. Food was fresh and quick. It was a Friday night and the place was full but still able to accommodate us. Didn't feel rushed and the drinks were amazing! Definitely a great little place to eat! We will be back

For my big back foodies!!!! One of the best Mexican food down here in old town Fredericksburg . The food is amazing. The service is quick and kind and I mention the food was amazing if you're in the area you need to come and try it.

A friend hit me up for happy hour on a Saturday night, and shockingly, I was home from work early enough to actually make it happen. Even more shocking? We chose Cheeky's, and I couldn't have been happier. The last time I was here was back when it was Casey's and Cheeky's was just launching, so I was excited to see how it had evolved. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was giving elegant, cozy, and intimate. Soft lighting, relaxed energy--basically the kind of place that gently tells you to sit down, sip a cocktail, and forget about your responsibilities. My friends had already ordered and kindly let us sample their food. I can't remember exactly what it was (possibly drunken noodles? Possibly magic?), but whatever it was, it was delicious. Since we didn't want to copy their order, my boyfriend and I went with the duck fries, duck wings, and fried beef tips with rice. Let me start with the fries because...wow. Skinny fries tossed in garlic, what tasted like truffle, and cooked in duck fat. Honestly? Some of the best fries I've had in a long time. I would come back just for those. My boyfriend loved the duck wings, which were generously coated in mumbo sauce. A little too saucy for me (I prefer my wings slightly less...bathed), but the flavor was solid and the portion was more than fair. My fried beef tips were everything--perfect crunch, just the right amount of sauce, and packed with flavor. A true masterpiece that really showcased Asian-inspired cuisine at its best. I also ordered the hibiscus lemon drop, which was so good I considered ordering a second (and did). That said, it was a bit overpriced for the size--but still tasty enough to make me forgive it. Overall, Cheeky's is super chic, serves delicious cocktails, and delivers flavorful, creative food. If you're looking for a food adventure or something a little out of the norm, I 100% recommend stopping by for an evening. My only complaint? I still dream about the pork katsu sandwich they had back in the Casey's days--served with homemade wonton chips. I think about that sandwich more often than I'd like to admit. Please...bring it back.

The only issue i had when I went in, was that the coffee tables are a bit lower to the ground than was comfortable. My friend and I came during restaurant Week, apparently during happy hour! We ordered duck fries off the happy hour menu, but then also crispy beef, cucumber salad, biang biang shrimp, and duck wings. Everything was phenomenal! The cucumber salad was too spicy for me but it was a risk I took, even tho I could see all the flakes of red spicy all over it. Our server was very nice and he even tried to do the math to see which way to ring in or order to make the price in our favor. We told him not to worry about it, it's fine. We actually never got the duck fries, but at least it was the HH price and not full price. Oh! Then we got the red velvet cinnamon roll for dessert... I will say, I didn't love it. I love red velvet everything, but did not love that. The icing didn't taste like cream cheese although it was super light and fluffy... it was warm in some areas and just cold in others... idk, I just think it could be better executed in a couple different ways. Typically i might take a star away for not getting an item ordered and not loving the dessert, but i didn't mention any of it, so there was no option for the establishment to do anything about it even if they wanted to.

Today's venue of choice was a place called Rivers End, which sounds like either a cocktail bar or a warning label, depending on how your day's going. It starts off a little funny because you have to figure out the right door, then march yourself up the stairs like you're reporting for duty. Once you get up there, though, it feels like the kind of cool old place that's seen some things. You can almost feel the years rolling by, from Caribbean rum days to whiskey nights to the modern era of "smart cocktails," where they put things like herbs and intentions in your drink. The vibe was right. Cocktails were great--strong enough to matter, smooth enough not to apologize for. The food was excellent across the board, the kind that makes you stop talking for a minute so you can do some serious fork work. Most important, our waiter Shane was dead on the mark: there when you needed him, gone when you didn't, and never once tried to explain the menu like we'd just landed from Ohio for the first time. I can't find a single thing to complain about, which for me is almost a complaint in itself. Good value, good food, and a good scene--about all you can ask from an afternoon you're not spending at work. Next visit will be brunch, and I hope it's soon. Oh, and I did have the tostadas, but I got so excited by the smell I forgot to take a picture. Lewis would've understood. Some things are meant to be eaten, not photographed

They were cooked to perfection and had a great sweet sauce. I enjoyed the salad too. They also brought out wings, mini burgers, mini fried chicken sandwiches, and tuna. They did a phenomenal job creating such a magical atmosphere--I honestly wish they could keep the decorations up all year . Both were fantastic, though I wish the bar had mentioned the holiday cocktail menu earlier. I didn't learn about the festive drinks until we were seated and our server, Lindsay, walked us through the winter specials. The "Sweater Weather" cocktail sounded amazing (white tequila and coconut milk ) and is definitely something I'll be back to try. We stuck with our go-to appetizer, the goat cheese bruschetta, which was delicious as always. For entrées, we went classic brunch: the hangover burger and the shrimp and grits. My girlfriend loved her burger, and Sedona's shrimp and grits remain one of my absolute favorites--perfectly seasoned and cooked. Even though we were full, we couldn't pass up the seasonal dessert, tiramisu. It was the perfect size--just enough to share without pushing us over the edge. Lol. Another successful meal at Sedona! The service is consistently top-notch, and our server Lindsay was hands down the best--knowledgeable, attentive, and with an amazing personality. We loved her so much, we wished she could've joined us for brunch. The manager also stopped by a couple of times to check on us, which we really appreciated. My wife ordered a glass of Chardonnay and I ordered a Spicy Margarita. We shared an appetizer of Crispy Brussel Sprouts and bread rolls that came with a delicious oil and garlic dipping sauce. The main dining area was sparsely attended by other dinner patrons, with large windows to one side overlooking the river. For entrees, my wife selected the Roasted Beet Poke Bowl which she described as "light and refreshing" and I ordered the 16-oz Marinated Ribeye, cooked to Medium along with sides of mixed Seasonal Vegetables (sliced Zucchini & Squash) and Redskins Mashed potatoes with an order of mushrooms to go on top of the steak. I also ordered a nice glass of Merlot wine to go with it. The portions were generous, and the entrees perfectly prepared, and very tasty.
