Cup of Clam chowder, soup of the day.
    Yasenia H.

Service was great! I sat at the bar the the 2 bartenders took great care of me. Made great suggestions and made sure I had what I needed. The clamp chowder with bacon was delicious. The class tasted fresh and had a great mouthfeel, not chewy. I had the Walleye Picata, the sauce was flavorful but the fish was overcooked. This made some bites very dry. I wish I would have gone with the Halibut or the chicken dish with goat cheese. I thought this was a Michigam only restaurant but it is not. There are 12 or 14 in the Northeast. Parking can be challenging on busy nights. They do have happy hour and daily specials. The beer selection is large and the cocktails looked good. I wpuld come to a Sedona Taphouse again if I saw one in my travels.

One of our favorite place to come for apps and drink. We came in for apps and drinks and were not disappointed! The crab flatbread was perfectly cheesy and golden with a great dipping sauce on the side, the spicy shrimp stir fry was flavorful and beautifully plated, and the charred wings had incredible depth of flavor with a nice smoky kick. The atmosphere was great and the service was attentive from start to finish -- definitely would recommend and will be back!

Visited during the summer with friends and the place was packed. Great draft menu. Tons of options. Got a local mead. No silverware or plates at the table like other tables. So had to ask staff for it when our appetizers came. Serve was not the greatest. Not friendly. Ordered the bread basket and hummus apps. Both were delicious. Hummus was smooth and the bread was tasty Entree wise I got the steak tacos. Comes with two tacos and that is it. I ordered a side of corn and it wasn't much portion wise. Glad we got the appetizers or else my entree wasn't very filling. It tasted good though. Swanky place and good for date night or after work.

Halibut Oscar with Garlic Whipped Potatoes and Grilled Asparagus

This beautiful cold winter day sent us into Sedona for lunch. We start with spicy Thai shrimp. I like the heat but if you're not a fan of that then reconsider this dish. Nice blend of spicy sweet for me. Cocktails were an expresso martini and a lemon drop. Entrees I had one of the specials, halibut with a lemon butter Oscar topping paired with whipped potatoes and asparagus. This is why this review loses a star. The fish was over cooked and not flaky and moist as it should have been. To salvage this dish I had them bring additional sauce to moisten the fish but I really should have sent it back (I kid dislike-doing that) The short ribs that my hubby had was perfection as were our cocktails. This meal took us to $110. Not really a value for not being pleased with one dish. My service was stellar so I don't want this to be a reflection of him. I'd probably return just not having a "seasonal" or special item. The execution was just missed here.

Pretty good! Came here for a dinner with family and we all enjoyed our food. Next time I come back, I probably won't get the BBQ short rib (it wasn't bad, just not my preferred flavor for short rib) but I'll def get the bread, mashed potatoes and spinach. My biggest complaint was around the dishes and silverware not being as perfectly clean as I would prefer :)

    Truffle Fries

Popped up to Sedona Taphouse after trekking out to Madison heights for a laptop. Brunch Sunday at 12:150. Sat at a booth and ordered truffle fries to start. The fries kicked off an excellent meal for the three of us. The clam chowder was hearty but not too thick. Some of the best I've ever had. Clams were tender and not chewy! It paired perfectly with a Long Drink. My husband's sandwich looked really good. Most impressed it wasn't a soggy mess on the plate as usually they are served that way. Niece had a filet that was a little under cooked but the char was excellent. She still ate and was happy. Service was excellent though a little uninformed on bar beverage as I think she's under age. Took a little bit to get her to understand Long Drink Blue can wasn't a tall Blue Moon. $100 for all plus tip. Really good meal.

Eric is a great bartender! He remembers what I like to drink. He doesn't rush you and is attentive to our needs. The food is very good. I love the Thai shrimp that is $10 on happy hour. The bar is set up nicely with big windows to look out.

This restaurant is amazing! our waiter Giovanni was outstanding as well as the food. And they had a rooftop to eat and it was excellent. I would 100% recommend!

Ask the Community - Sedona Taphouse

    Is this location still open?

    Yes

Can you bring your own cake?

    Yes, call ahead

Are there heat lamps for outdoor dining?

As far as I know they will only be open for takeout during these restrictions. The only outdoor dining they have is the rooftop patio and the downstairs patio which does not have heat lamps. I'd keep up with their website to see if anything changes…

    Would you bring children?

Yes. Though make sure you have a reservation so that the children do not get over hungry.

    Take reservations for weekend dinners?

Yes they do and they have free valet parking as well

Is there typically a wait at lunchtime on weekdays?

If it's less then 4, no. If it's more then that, I'd call for a reservation because the group seating goes fast.

Do they have high chairs and/or booster seats for children?

    Yes!

    What are the specials?

Monday is a flat iron steak for $7. My son is the pickiest steak eater only eating filets. He loved it and can't wait to go back on a Monday. All their food is exceptional.

    Is there a dress code?

Dressy casual. There are people in business casual and others in dressy outfits

    Coupons ? Coming

If you sign up for their loyalty program you get notified about coupons/discounts and events.

Is there a room for parties?

Yes we do have a separate room that can fit 40 people.

If it's something big come early cause it definitely gets packed pretty quick. I had the boneless wings with the Korean sauce and it was shockingly good. Boneless wings are a low expectation food for me, so when a sauce or the crisp really comes out excellent, I'm always genuinely surprised. The sauce was really the highlight, cause it balances flavor and heat perfectly, while also having some sweetness without being too sticky. What I really like about this spot is that they have around 110 draft beers on tap so it's really a craft beer lovers paradise. They also have some basic beers for those who don't have the love for crafts along with a full bar and curated cocktail list. So if you like the idea of an elevated sports bar, with solid food choices, and amazing beer list this is the spot for you.

Went with a service animal and was denied entering by the manager. I asked for the owner who the manager called, then I'm guessing explaining the service dogs duty, then allowed us to enter. If that wasn't awkward enough, it took about 15 minutes for the bar tender to acknowledge I was there. Once I got water, put in a request for a drink, it was about another 10 mins to finally ask if I wanted to put in an order. Now, it was busy-ish but not to the point that it should have taken as long as it did. However, being patient, I asked for the ribs, a Cesar wrap and Cajun fries. I got plane fries, the ribs were literally cold, not like sitting a while and they were lukewarm no, cold. The wrap had no dressing, no cheese just lettuce and protein. Odd and no Cajun fries just regular. So, when I pointed these things out, shower her the wrap, fries, told her the ribs were cold, she offered to remake them, but by this time it being about an hour into sitting around I was just ready to go. She did end up bringing out some extra fries that were Cajun, she did seem to be trying but there was a weird dynamic, like I was the one causing the inconvenience. She took away the food, fries, I asked for the bill, and the items she took away, were still on the bill. She then asked me if I wanted them taken off.. I said well I didn't eat them and I don't have them. She then said, "I offered to have them remade" I said yes but I do have to go it's been an hour at this point. I paid, left a tip and realized that the experience was one for the books. Idk if I'll try it again. It was very uninviting, not very welcoming, time consuming, and not accurate or accommodating. At the least I hope they do educate those on ADA Service animals. And I'm talking about real service animals, not just your friends well trained adorable dog. Like, ask the required questions, is the dog for a disability, what work/task does it preform. We'll see maybe if there's improvement next time... maybe.

A hostess who takes your money and gives you a bracelet, automated beer, and you use your phone to order from the kitchen, they text you and you go get your food. The host is in the front said at the end of 32 oz is your bracelet will not work and you need to come up and see me to reset it. I guess that's how they would monitor whether or not someone could get another 32 oz? I'm surprised not more places have copied their business layout.
