Went with a service animal and was denied entering by the manager. I asked for the owner who the manager called, then I'm guessing explaining the service dogs duty, then allowed us to enter. If that wasn't awkward enough, it took about 15 minutes for the bar tender to acknowledge I was there. Once I got water, put in a request for a drink, it was about another 10 mins to finally ask if I wanted to put in an order. Now, it was busy-ish but not to the point that it should have taken as long as it did. However, being patient, I asked for the ribs, a Cesar wrap and Cajun fries. I got plane fries, the ribs were literally cold, not like sitting a while and they were lukewarm no, cold. The wrap had no dressing, no cheese just lettuce and protein. Odd and no Cajun fries just regular. So, when I pointed these things out, shower her the wrap, fries, told her the ribs were cold, she offered to remake them, but by this time it being about an hour into sitting around I was just ready to go. She did end up bringing out some extra fries that were Cajun, she did seem to be trying but there was a weird dynamic, like I was the one causing the inconvenience. She took away the food, fries, I asked for the bill, and the items she took away, were still on the bill. She then asked me if I wanted them taken off.. I said well I didn't eat them and I don't have them. She then said, "I offered to have them remade" I said yes but I do have to go it's been an hour at this point. I paid, left a tip and realized that the experience was one for the books. Idk if I'll try it again. It was very uninviting, not very welcoming, time consuming, and not accurate or accommodating. At the least I hope they do educate those on ADA Service animals. And I'm talking about real service animals, not just your friends well trained adorable dog. Like, ask the required questions, is the dog for a disability, what work/task does it preform. We'll see maybe if there's improvement next time... maybe. read more

First, I'd like to say that the food, service, people, and everything about the place is top notch. I feel some of the best in the area. Now to the big issue that I just found out. I found out that on a recent visit, my card was charged twice. Two different amounts. I don't look at me credit card that closely, but for some reason I looked at my American Express App. I then decided to check all my past charges. In less than a year, I was overcharged over $1,000!! I called American Express. They said all the charges were odd. One had a swiped charge (mine), and later there was a hand entered charge for more. I am what you would call a regular, and probably spend $3,000 to $5,000 (made me think I need another hobby :-) a year there for over 5 years, and I know Curtis the owner and all the managers. I brought it to Curtis' attention and he said he would look into saying it was likely a glitch in the system (it is not). He determined that the charges were real and I signed for them so he said that I was owed nothing. My credit card suggested I file a police report. I let Curtis know and he said do what you have to do and hung up. He then called right back and said oh, by the way, you are not welcomed back here! I will let all my staff know this. I said Curtis, I have not done anything wrong here. He said you have all the staff upset that you are accusing them of stealing. I haven't done that. I just said that you have a big issue here and it needs to be looked into. Friends said I should call Channel 4 (help me Hank, if he still does this) and let them help. This probably happened for a reason, and now I will make some important life changes :-) Any money I would have spent there, I will give to various charities. So. Great place on all counts. Never had a bad meal there, love the people and met some really great friends there over the years. I guess my suggestion is to check your credit cards more closely or just pay cash :-) Curtis, if you see this, I have done nothing wrong here. I have tried all avenues to resolve this. We needed someplace in the Oakland Mall area for dinner and we wanted to avoid all of the chain restaurants, so that didn't leave many choices. We hadn't been in this place since it used to be a Bennigan's many years ago so we decided to give it a try. It still had the basic Bennigan's setup, which was kind of funny. There are a ton of TV's throughout the place, which can be a little overstimulating, at times. Type servers were all very friendly and hustling on a busy Saturday night! We went to Madhouse Bar & Grill before adult swim night at Red Oaks waterpark. We'd gone there last year as well, and I remember liking it. I had the stadium nachos appetizer as my meal. The manager came to the table and said they were out of refried beans and asked if I still wanted it. To be honest, I didn't even read the full description, so I said yes. I don't know why, but these were SOOOO good. The cheese was nice and melty, the chips were crunch. There were lots of toppings, and the sour cream and salsa (which was really nice -- a slight kick but also a little sweet) were on the side. When I was done, it didn't even looked like I'd eaten any! My husband and I came here for the second time. I tried something new and got the patty melt and it didn't disappoint. We came here for an early st. pattys day dinner and we were able to seat ourselves as soon as we walked in. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was delicious. It was a very filling portion for the price. For St. pattys day, the environment wasn't too loud at all. Of course we went around 5 so it might have gotten more crowded later on in the night, but we were able to hear each other from across the table when we talked. The white bean chicken chili is flavorful and delicious! It was so good, I had to take bowl home with me. Tried the tuna melt, made with white albacore tuna, and finely chopped celery. Very good food! So was a drink, Harvest Mule was very tasty. There were 5 of us, we split an order of pot stickers with both soy and chili sauces. Came w 8 of them to share, I had one that was a very tasty and everyone enjoyed it! I had a small margarita pizza. Very tasty and plenty of slices left 5 of 8 slices for a couple more meals. French dip looked great as did their burger (huge!) and fajitas smelled great. Sister enjoyed and confirmed tasty with plenty for leftovers. Brother in law got an Italian sub that looked status quo. I've been coming to Madhouse Bar & Grill for the past few months when I'm in town for work. It's a nice Sports Bar with a ton of TVs. The staff is always so pleasant, and the bartenders can pour!!! It's nice to sit down for a drink and enjoy a meal. The prices are quite reasonable and the food is always good! I've had the Flatbreads and the Madhouse Burger (highly recommended!). Even the fries are excellent! All in all, a great place to watch the game, have a drink, grab a bite to eat or all of the above! read more

This place is top notch. A Great Owner, and he's a great guy even if he wasn't the owner. His Management Team is unbelievable. They care about the Customers and what services they're providing. My Favorite part is the Bartenders, all of the Bartenders are Beautiful and their personalities matches their Beauty. It's a great atmosphere period. No Company is perfect but they do their best to make things right just in case something goes wrong. That's all a part of the Management team and the owner. They don't care who you are. Very fresh ingredients, the grilled chicken and just enough seasoning and wasn't dry. We hadn't been here for several years, and in search of a GOOD burger, went back. Wow, packed on a Saturday! They have quite a following! Seat yourself, pick a table. A little worried it would take too long to get service but someone found us & we ordered a beer. Not a huge selection on tap but decent. TVs everywhere; I guess it's a 'sports bar'? I've been here before watching the limping Lions. They have a great bar area and plenty of seating for dining and watching. sporting events. I was meeting up with a friend and was shocked to see a Spartan party! There was a Bowl game on and a huge group of Spartans had invaded the area. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. We've never gone in because tbh I wasn't inspired by the Yelp photos. The pictures do this place no justice. The food was great! My husband says the sliders were as good as Hunter House and he is not wrong. The giant pretzel was also bomb. We were too excited to eat it to snap a photo. Calamari was also a winner.
