Luckily, my afternoon was free & I happened to see this salon, so I popped in. There was a wait, of course b/c it was Saturday, but again I had the time. I appreciate that staff acknowledged me as soon as I walked in. Waiting with other customers was actually fun! b/c everyone was chatting with each other...Like a real neighborhood vibe. After about 20 minutes, it was my turn. My nail tech was super friendly and for the first time, I got a gel pedicure (yes I'm the last one on the planet to try gel ;). I decided to try this salon as it was recommended by a friend. When I arrived one of the staff members yelled "can I help you" from across the room, they were all wearing masks so I looked around to who was talking and if they were even talking to me in the first place. There were a few people up front around me as well. And because I didn't respond in 2 seconds he yelled it again even louder. Everyone was staring at me and it was very awkward. I let them know about my appointment at 4:30 (it was 4:25) with no response and then sat around for 30 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. This place is in the ghetto which is not a problem but lock your car!!! The ladies are nice but if you want the up to date nail design this is not the place, came here for a pedi picked the basic pedicure which is $40 with gel included, I had a broken toe nail the lady fixed it for me by adding $7 to my charge but then again that toe was bumpy and weird and thick and ugly after! First off, I have been to some bougie places and paid $120 for a fill. I have also been to some really low end places and paid $18 for a fill. My point is - I'm open minded and I go for quality over location. I read the reviews before making my appointment so I knew what I was getting into. Yes, the location is sketchy... I'm talking industrial area, scrap yards and train tracks. The decor is gross - plastic severed hands with multicolored tips everywhere... enough to remind me of Season 1 of Dexter and the Ice Truck Killer. Yet, the quality of my dip full set was very good. I paid $45 (btw fills are $30), and would've been happy paying more for the same service at a much nicer location. So why the 1 star? The absolute disrespect for my time and my husband's time. I made an appointment for myself (full set) and my husband (mani/pedi) a day in advance. We walked in at 3pm for our scheduled appointment, and sat around staring at the grotesque plastic severed arms until 3:30... By then, I wanted to leave, but we decided that getting a walk-in elsewhere on a Friday afternoon would be tough. Finally at 3:45pm somebody sat me for my full set. My husband was left sitting there until 4:05pm before anybody acknowledged him. I made two attempts to remind the staff about his 3pm appointment. Two women walked in with 4pm appointments and were seated sooner. I said again - he had an appointment at 3pm. By that time I was halfway through my full set and we didn't feel like staying there until 5:30pm or whenever it would be that his appointment would eventually be finished. So he left with nothing. I felt so embarrassed because I invited him there as my treat. Actually I think they discriminated against him because he was male. But if they don't take appointments for men they should've said something when I booked.... Oh wait tho - that would've been blatant discrimination so better to just ignore the guy until he leaves. Honestly, if things had gone smoothly, I would have returned every two weeks for a fill despite the location being so sketch and the interior looking like the trophy room of a serial killer. The full set was good enough to make up for such obvious short comings. However, I cannot patronize a place that has such utter lack of respect for customers. Not even an apology for the hour long delay and obvious snub to my man. I can't even remember the last time I didn't tip for a service, but today I made an exception. No respect = no tip! read more

I went to this salon because of all of its great ratings. It's not in the best of neighborhoods but usually that's where you find the best nail techs. I called ahead of time and made an appointment for 4 pm and was quoted $45 for gel mani and gel pedi. I got there at 3:45 and didn't get into a chair until 4:30. There were only 3 techs and four people. So they either cannot schedule properly or take walk ins and disregard their appointments. The mani pedi was done one at a time. My pedi was okay. I got the basic gel pedicure. The "hot stone massage" was incredibly brief, maybe 1 minute total. The polish looked clean and neat. My manicure gel was awful. A different lady worked on my nails. It had air bubbles, was lumpy, unevenness and all over my fingers. She kept messing up the top coat and the gel wouldn't set correctly. Someone stepped in to help then it was okay. This entire process took TWO HOURS. When I went to check out I was given a $55 dollar bill instead of $45. I did complain about my poor manicure and the lady who did my toes fixed my nails and made them look clean and even now. So entire process was 2 1/2 hours. I won't go back because of how incredibly long it took, how the price was changed on me, and the fact that it's supposed to be relaxing and not nerve racking to be in a salon. Side note- I wasn't the only one in the salon complaining about spotty polish... there was another lady also complaining. read more

Had a great experience here at first. Last time I visited the lady refused to take my acrylics off because "it was too difficult" and told me the salon who put them on should do it. Seems strange to me that you would so rudely shoo your business away and to your competitors. They also decided to eat a rather pungent lunch during another visit, all the while going between eating their lunch and doing my nails. I I found my new nail place! Kevin did my natural nail gel manicure and it is the best I have ever had! He is meticulous and gentle. It was relaxing. They just opened up again due to the pandemic but Kevin built clear protective screens that separate and protect the customer from both the nail technicians while getting your nails done and on the side to protect you from the customer in the next chair. They have you use hand sanitizer as soon as you enter. You have to schedule an appointment and wear a mask. They disinfect each chair and station in between each customers.
