**FINAL UPDATE** A solid 5 out of 5 Stars The day before installation, I received a text from Vytex. This was to confirm my appointment on the 21st of November, as well as the ETA window for their installation team, which was 0830-1130. On the day of installation, the installation team arrived at 08:21. The Team Lead (Ahwner) introduced himself, and we walked to the windows that were to be replaced. He explained that before beginning the installation, he would need to confirm the measurement for accuracy. Once he completed the remeasurements, he advised me that they would start the installation. Including the TL (Ahwner), there were four members on this install team. They quickly began setting up their work areas. They placed tarps over my laminate floors, entryways, furniture, and even the grass outside. This was to ensure that no debris or loose materials would be left behind. All the work was completed by 09:43. Upon completion, the TL asked me to walk the project with him to confirm my satisfaction. He asked if I had any questions about the completed project, then asked me to sign the order of completion sheet. Part of this process included a link/QR code to scan for the final balance payment. There was an issue with the QR code, so he suggested I call their customer service for assistance. Once on the phone with their customer service, they provided an email link that I used to resolve the remaining balance. What can be said that hasn't already been said? I had all of my windows replaced by WN a little over two years ago. Around early spring I noticed water damage starting to occur in my finished basement, but it was not horrible. And then the rain storms hit hard later this spring, and then it was noticeable. And there was a musty smell in my house when the heat and humidity started to rise. I had a contractor come in and open up the wall where the smell was emanating from, and the whole wall and all the insulation was wet and deteriorating. He determined it was coming from where WN poorly installed the three windows. WN is charging me $150 to send someone out to evaluate the damage. It is really bad. So bad that the contractor didn't want to progress until WN took a look. He was able to remove the rotting wood and mold. Thank goodness we are not expecting rain or I would be screwed. I saved a few bucks by picking WN, and now I regret my decision. I wonder which other windows are slowly leaking. read more

They don't communicate at all with you about your project and don't even think about trying to get a hold of the office it's impossible and none of their phone numbers are listed. Getting the project funded was a joke. They made a big deal on how the window reflects heat. Sitting in front of our front picture window is like being an ant under a magnifying glass. Now that cold weather has hit, we had 6 of the 12 windows installed with condensation due to broken seals. The above mentioned picture window now feels as if we are sitting outside. We had windows installed recently with Window Nation. I would give a 5-star, but our window was cracked on the day of installation and it haws been a month and not been replaced. It is a picturesque window in our kitchen and now an "eyesore" with blue tape applied to keep it from cracking further. Since this was an initial install, I feel we have not received quality service. Window Nation - Avoid this Company. Window Nation is dishonest and overpriced. Their Salesmen state that the "Installers" are WN Employees but they ARE NOT. Their windows are measured by Vytex and installed by Vytex who are sloppy measuring. Instead of following Industry Standards of 1/4" inch or less. Vytex intentionally measures at least 1/2" less and fills the gap with foam. The Installers had on Window Nation T-Shirts but told me direct they were Vytex Employees. When WN agreed our overpriced windows were measured wrong and a Recorder was warranted WITH COMPENSATION to us, we agreed on a fix at my suggestion to avoid having our project stopped for 4-8 weeks saving WN thousands. Horrible company to work with. We sent a request for an inspection. Didn't hear anything for days. And when we called, the only time we could get was 7pm on a work night. Fine, we did it. The inspector was a fast talking salesperson, who got our order wrong multiple times. We also wanted the windows above our doors replaced. She stated that was not a problem. Then she started making comments that doing the doors with the windows would be a better option, better look, easier work. But when we were told the doors would more than double the cost of the install, we said that the windows alone would be fine. She came back and said the doors were required to be replaced if they touched those windows. I asked to speak to a manager. I called 2 managers multiple times. I never heard back from any manager, and the agent said that she had spoken to management and that we would have to do the doors also. So we decided to cancel the installation. And did I mention that the agent, or someone at Windows Nation, electronically signed the loan application in my and my wife's names? I didn't even get to read the 25% loan paperwork, but it was already on my credit report. The agent also had two windows ordered as tempered glass that were not required to be tempered. And the two that were supposed to be tempered were listed as standard. Her excuse was that the person who came to do the precision measurements would make sure to correct anything that was wrong. I didn't like that response, especially when it concerned safety and building codes. Poor communications. Just demands that I sign a contract that I continued to tell them was incorrect. I would not recommend this company to anyone after the experience we have had. On the day out our installation, the workers came with the wrong order. We ordered three windows and a door, they came with two windows and a door, and one wrong window. I called and spoke with customer service and the gentleman took put in an email request to have someone call me back. After about 20 or so minutes one of the workers confirmed with me about the door and there was a piece missing. So I called customer again to ask they to add a note to also.include there was a piece missing from the door. I was explained what had transpired early and ask if a note could be added so that when the call come in they have a clear understanding of what was going on. The gentleman told me that he remembered speaking with me earlier. I said ok great. They he tells me that he didn't need to take the information because I already had an email in for the windows and I could tell whoever calles me back about the door. So I asked him was it his company policy that on one ticket or email be open at a time. He said that he already took my information and it wasnt necessary for him to put in the issue for for the door because there was already on put in for the windows. I then said to the gentleman, the door installation would not be complete today because they was a missing piece. I just wanted them to be awake so that they have a clear understanding. So the gentleman says that i need to wait my turn for someone to call me back and they would deal with all the issues. So i asked to speak with a supervisor. He said the matter did not warrant a supervisor. I explained that i needa supervisor for a different reason. And he said no you don't need to talk with a supervisor, i can talk to someone when they called me back. So i hung up on him and called back and explained the situation to a different young lady who was supposed to transfer me to her manage but instead got transferred to an automated system. So i chose a different option and spoke with someone else. I explained in a shory version of what transpired. She proceeded to defend her co-worker. And when i asked if a not could be added to the email he sent she hung up on me. I want to be clear that i had zero issues with the gentleman who vame oit to my home. They were trying to work with me and my husband because he said that they(Window Nation) send them on jobs all the time with wrong or incomplete orders. They gentleman that was here working even called his supervisor to let them know what was going on. He was very helpful. And I do not want him the other gentleman working with him to be the blame. BEWARE THIS CONTRACTOR! Truly, one of the worst contractors I've had to deal with in recent memory...complete utter incompetence. It took Window Nation 8 months to deliver four (4) new windows and doors. Multiple delays, multiple excuses, incorrect sizes, incorrect color, and overcharges. I cannot recommend, nor would I do business with them again. Hire at your own risk. As of this original review date, the sliding screen door failed to open and close properly, scraping off the paint of the door. While a representative did come out to adjust the screen, it is still not working properly. I've emailed the company representatives more than a week ago with no response. Now I am stuck with a sliding screen door that doesn't work. I only wish I had done research BEFORE selecting this vendor. Update June 19, 2015: As a solution to the sliding screen not working properly and scraping off the paint whenever the door opens and closes, Window Nations sent me a can of paint. Unbelievable! You just can't make this stuff up! A can of paint...that's their solution! Update March 2024: I mistakenly thought of giving WindowNation another chance. Terrible. Just terrible. I wish I had my old windows back. I was NOT aware we were getting window inserts, sales guy didn't tell us and with $900-1500 per window I thought we were getting the actual replacement . We lost 6+inch perimeter on each window of natural light. The install team left glue residue all over the windows, each one, inside and outside plus all over the siding which I've called 3 times for them to come and clean, they send someone out but it still looks terrible . Sliding glass door keeps jamming, doesn't even close all the way. I thought our old door was bad but the new door is worse. Plus a very narrow person cant fit through the sliding door opening bc it's an insert, not replacement. The skinniest of people have to go through sideways to get through the door. I'm embarrassed I spent 30k+ on these windows. I was in contact with someone in customer satisfaction and he ghosted me 3 weeks ago, I am writing this review to hopefully prevent others from making the mistake we made. Lesson learned. read more

We needed a new garden window for our kitchen. Window Nation provided a quote and sent a technician out to measure for the window. We paid a deposit, signed the contract and they said they would contact us in 4-6 weeks to schedule the installation. Weeks later, they sent me an email without any explanation saying that they were cancelling the contract and that they would be sending us a check in the mail. We have not received the check yet. When I called their customer service, they said they couldn't talk to me about it, that they would have my representative call me. Still waiting for that call, too. It was far too expensive for the quality and service we received to have 6 windows replace and a patio door. For 5 months I could not lock three windows which were on the ground floor. The patio door would not open more than a foot until a piece of packaging fell from the top. We started the this in August 2024 and finally in April 2025 we have windows that work. A total waste of time. I scheduled an appointment and confirm the appointment only to have them call 40 minutes prior to the 9 a.m. appointment to cancel. I was told that they would have a sales manager use Google maps to measure my windows and give me a estimate and then set up another time where someone else could come out and measure my windows to give me a more precise estimate at a later date. They told me that there was a glitch in their system and that appointment time is now gone. Gone where? Totally unprofessional. There was no glitch. Having contracted other companies such as Power and Nu Look Home Design for windows and doors, I'm pretty well versed on the pitch and installation process. The sales pitch, which includes a knowledgable person with years of experience (Terry in this case), the "okay, normally I can't go this low" final pitch, and then, the final final last ditch "lowest price because it's the end of the quarter" effort. Throw in some material examples and measurements and I was sold on the dream. While I liked the Power windows and door we had installed a few years back, this project (2 custom windows, 2 other windows and six sliders) was always going to be more pricey, so I was looking for a better deal. My mistake! Before the ink was even dry on the contract, I was already getting "we hope you'll give us 5 stars" emails. Seriously, they hadn't done one thing and were already hoping to get a perfect review. Communication: Throughout the process of waiting for my windows and sliders to be ready for installation, I received no less than 20 automated emails with incorrect scheduling estimates. I called to see what was up and they told me, "oh yeah our system does that it's so annoying." Cool. Finally, I got a call with a solid date and I was scheduled for a two-day install. Alas, the day before I was due to have my windows and doors installed, I got a call from Vytex saying they had a "system-wide computer malfunction" which caused them to mistakenly schedule my installation. When I called Terry and emailed Nick to let them know that their customer service is subpar (Nick was the one had asked for the positive review early on), they played hot potato and passed it on to someone at Vytex to call me back. Nick's original email says something like, "If there is any reason you would be unable to score us a 5 on any question, please contact me and give me an opportunity to resolve the situation." I did that, and the first thing he did was pitch my email and communication to someone else. Solid job, Nick. Even though the sales person will always tell you, "I'll be there every step of the way," they only really care when your install is scheduled and complete so they can get paid. After the first scheduling debacle, for which I took two days off of work for, I would have to wait another month and a half to get an installation date. The installation day was full of more surprises. The gentlemen who installed my windows and sliders told me that one of the custom windows broke and that they would have to re-order it. They seemed surprised that I had not received a call informing me of this. Me too. They told me it would be about a week because the company was going to rush the production of the window and that they would want to get the job done ASAP. Almost three weeks later, no call, no window and one of the screen door locks already broke. The materials don't seem cheap, but they're also not some exceptional work of art either. The sliders are actually pretty hard to lock (screens and doors) so I'm not too happy with that. All in all, if I had to do it again, I would just go with Power and pay the extra money. Got Window Nation windows a couple of years ago. The window in kitchen was replaced just because I was also replacing windows in dining room. However, from the beginning I wished I had my old window back. Freezing cold when at sink in front of window. Never had this issue with old window. Am going to be putting plastic up on new window to prepare for super cold weather. Never needed to plastic up the old window. Disappointed as the windows were pricey. The hype in the tv commercial is hype. The other new windows are covered by insulated curtains so I don't notice as much. Wish I chose a different company. read more

This will be lengthy but let me first start off by saying that the one star is not entirely for the installation of the windows and more so for their deceptive sales tactics. We had 13 windows installed by WN and they aren't 100% perfect but they are fine. However, the sales rep that came to our home had a presentation that was well over 2 hours long. He arrived at 6pm and the entire process didn't end until 9pm. We didn't even hear a price until at least 2 hours in. So after the presentation we are met with the price as well as the "sign now discount". At this point we liked the product and the price so we did it and just wanted him to finally leave. We applied for financing with the sales rep through window nation (service finance company) and that process It's self was fine. However fast forward now two years and we are looking to sell our home and purchase a new one. To our suprise, it turns out the loan they had given us was a form of a home equity loan. This was never explained to us, the loan documents were typical of any standard financing documents with the language absolutely buried in it. Now is some of this on us for not reading and questioning every single line of the contract? sure. But keep in mind we are well over 2.5hrs in at this point, after working all day and not having a chance to eat any dinner. But this was not explained whatsoever by the sales rep or anyone and now this loan results in a second lien on our house making it very difficult to get approvals for another mortgage. This type of sales tactic is reminiscent of timeshare sales making people buy just to get rid of you. Something of this magnitude should be explained to the consumer not buried in a contract. read more

---update 15 October--- Window nation came out and preformed an assessment on most of the windows, although not all as agreed to. They documented the fixes and what was needed for each window. They scheduled the repairs around the installation of the still missing windows. When they showed up for the "final service" attempt, they still did not have the missing windows and said "you're still waiting for those? We thought those had been installed already". So I still am missing windows. In addition, they did not have the parts needed to complete their own service that they wrote as needed. One of the techs went back to the warehouse to see if they could collect enough parts and when he returned, he had about 14 out of 72 needed parts for just one of the repairs. I was later contacted by the "new regional director" and since giving him all the information, they have gone completely silent for about two months now. We are going into colder temperatures and I still have gaps and holes in the windows, even the ones they "fixed". I also have missing screens, and still missing complete windows. And they took the screens to the windows they didn't replace. So now the original windows that are still left don't have screens, which means you can't open them for insects coming in. I stand by my original assessment of go anywhere else for windows or service. This started in Jan 2021, it is now Oct 2021 and I still have these issues. The photos, and quality of install and service speak for themselves. Don't waste your time or money, and don't be left in the cold like they are literally about to leave me. I've been asking for a termination agreement, so I can get the windows serviced and sealed up properly before it gets too cold and they can't bother to respond, but they like to read these reviews! Absolutely the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Lastly, you can see from the business owners response earlier this year that they not only strive for five star service and support, but have refused nothing. Then I ask simply, why is it OCT I have all these same issues? Why do I have to send email after email, and leave voice mails that go unanswered? Instead you threatened legal action, that is not service. I no longer wish to do any business with your company, you've had plenty of time and chance after chance to resolve these issues, and chose not to do so. We just bought a new home and reached out to WN to replace all the windows in our house. Nowell, our salesman was the same rep that helped us replace our windows in our townhouse in 2014. Nowell was great, extremely knowledgeable and on point. That was the end of the positive experience. The day of our installation on 9/5/20 was hit and miss. The window installation that occurred went well. We were told just before the appointment that one of the windows did not arrive and would be done the following week, irritating but not a big deal. During the process it was discovered that they had a window that was the wrong size. We had submitted a change order months before and it was apparently never applied, so that window was also not able to be done. For the most part the installation went well, installers were very polite. We were assured that the issues encountered would be handled in regard to the window issues. Specifically, the wrong size window and a window that had grids that was not supposed to. It was as everything was wrapping up that we noticed somethings that gave us pause. We found a used razor blade on the carpet in our son's room. We found broken glass on the carpet in our room. The window stickers that come on the windows has a very sticky residue, that residue along with a heavy number of fingerprints were left on the inside and outside of the windows, places we are not able to reach normally. Outside we noticed that several screens were wavy and not properly installed. We ended up with a white chemical burn on our lawn along with cigarette buds and screen remnants on the grass and sidewalk. A serious irritation of this whole situation had and continues to be the lack of proactive communication from the part of WN. I have always had to be the one to reach out for updates or to find out where we stood. When it was discovered that we had the wrong sized window, the project coordinator told us they would reorder the window at "no cost to us" insinuating that it was our fault that their company did not process the change order. As if they were doing us a favor. During the 2nd installation on 10/8/20, this was to be the time the out of stock window was installed and the window with grids were to be corrected and installed. During that installation we found out that the truck had been packed incorrectly and the gridded window replacement was not on the truck. Also, during that appointment, the installer broke a glass in our kitchen even after my wife had asked if it needed to be moved and they said it did not. I sent a 2nd email highlighting my displeasure with the whole process on 10/9/20 and still have not heard back on 10/19/20. I sent a follow up email just before posting this review. When I sent my 1st complaint email on 9/8 after the installation WN sent me a check for $300, which given all that has since happened irritates me even more. If you are spending over $16,000 on a job you expect a certain level of service and when you are unhappy with legitimate issues to think that would make everything good again is insulating. I am not sure how this will end up. WN is supposed to be coming out to complete everything next week but I am losing any confidence that all our issues will be addressed. They salesman, Chris Schaefer lied. He told me I would get factory trained installers. I got an independent contractor and his trainee. They were unprofessional and their work was sloppy. They installed a screen that was obviously loose from its frame. They got caulk all over the new windows and frames. After paying them $8,000 for their shoddy work, I have to pay someone else to fix the screen and remove the caulk without damaging the windows or frames. DO NOT FALL FOR THE LIES!!! read more
