For phenomenal, high-quality chocolate candies, See's Candies is the perfect place! See's has changed location a couple times over the last several years here in Chico. It used to be where the Chipotle across the mall is. Then I believe it was inside the mall. Now it's beside Jack in the Box, the one near the mall. The inside of the store is very clean and soothing. And they have a large counter with so many delicious chocolates on display. They also have loads of already-prepared boxes. What I love is that they will allow you to sample a candy if you want. Staff there is always friendly and do a great job at explaining the candies and helping you make a decision. Probably my favorite candy is the Milk Bordeaux. Other candies I like are: Dark Scotchmallow, Milk Mocha, Milk Molasses Chip and those chocolate balls they sell for special occasions. read more

Stopped on by to curate a box for my parents as part of their anniversary gift. Lori C. helped me and was absolutely AMAZING! As soon as I walked up to the counter she offered me a chocolate and she was very helpful at showing me the sizes of the various chocolates I was picking out to see how much room I had left in the box. She also offered to wrap the box up which was a nice touch along with the "anniversary" sticker. Will be back for more chocolates soon! read more

Stopped at this store and ladies still inside, don't get why during the holiday season this store would be closed so early. Four other people tried to get in also. So, we usually spend a ton there and if four others tried. That's a lot of lost revenue. Sad.. I'll go elsewhere. read more

We all know See's candies are delicious, but this location has particularly excellent service too. My friend and I dropped in to look for Valentine's sour gummy hearts; 1. because they're so good and 2. my friend had never tried them before. The manager, Kelly, let us know they were all out, but she checked the back for us just in case, and offered to phone the locations in neighboring cities to see if they're in stock. When she heard my friend had never tried the gummy hearts, she gave us the last of the samples they had behind the counter. We left feeling so happy and grateful. OMG! See's Candies, the prices sure have changed. Since I last went there. It's been a long long time but I had a sweet tooth and wanted some chocolate. I decided to get a few pieces in a bag. No nuts, just soft center candies. The service was impeccable the inventory was on point everything was full of supply. Wow! I special ordered three lbs of dark chocolate nuts and chews yesterday. When placing the order she asked if I wanted to hand pick each piece. Since the description said the nuts were walnuts and almonds I didn't think I needed to be more specific then that. After we ate the whole first one lb box we noticed that there were peanuts in almost all of the pieces, not walnuts and almonds like the description said. This is disappointing to spend over 100 dollars,special order, drive down there because you can't special order on DoorDash, to get almost all peanuts when the description for nuts and chews clearly states walnuts and almonds. read more

Terrible customer service. Did online order, they got my order wrong, refused to accept it was their employee who filled my order wrong and wouldn't offer anyway to fix it other than driving half an hour back to their store for a couple extra candies. Seriously? And then they also blamed the system and that i should not use their online pick up option and instead I need to call the store. WTF? then way is that even an option if they can't fill orders right? So instead of the employee taking fault it's my fault for ordering through their online pick up option? Wow, even my invoice showed my order correctly, they filled it wrong. They just lost a few customers today. Won't be going back. read more

This location is convenient because it is in the Chico Mall area. It is very clean and the staff here is wonderful. The woman was very friendly and helped me pick out chocolates that would suit my needs. She even let me have a free sample. That was really sweet... no pun intended. They don't ship from this location. That was probably a good idea, considering I was wanting to ship to Florida where it is 85°. It's probably best just to hand-deliver. read more

See's always tastes great but what really makes the store is the See's employees. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name but the employee who was working today was SO kind. She was extremely cheerful and friendly, patient while my boyfriend and I took our time picking out what we wanted. Being from the L.A. area originally, I have known and loved See's candy my whole life. My complaint is that years ago they dropped my favorite candy, The Marshmint. It was so popular that spell correct knew what it was before I got done writing it here. You can only order them online at the holidays. You can't order them in the store. The shipping makes it prohibitive. I even belong to the Marshmint club. See's bring them back. read more
