Since no one else showed up for the bike tour; the three of us got our own private tour of the city! In addition to getting a private tour we also got brand new bikes for our tour because the shop had just ordered new bikes! Out of all the bike rentals we have used in the past these were the nicest bikes we have ever rented. The bikes were not only in pristine condition, but you could tell the bikes were expensive. Our tour guide, Antonio, was the best! Before we started our bike tour, Antonio asked us which sights we had already seen so that he could map the bike route specifically for us. Antonio educated us about the history of Sevilla through his witty and entertaining stories. We stopped frequently during the tour to learn more about the historical landmarks in Sevilla. Some of the sights that we saw included the Metropol Parasol aka: "The Mushroom", Plaza de España, Plaza América, and María Luisa Park. Throughout the bike ride Antonio took shots of us with the GoPro camera and uploaded all of the photos he took to Facebook. He got so many great action shots that we would not have been able to capture ourselves. We look like huge dorks on our bikes, but I'll always cherish these pictures! The cost of the three hour tour is €25 and the tour includes: a bottle of water, insurance, a GoPro photo-album on Facebook, bike rental, tour guide, and helmet.

The bike ride gave us our bearings so that we knew how to get around the city for the next few days, and provided us a list of places we passed on the bike tour that we wanted to go back and check out further. The bike ride was not intense at all - it was about 2.5 hours, going at a moderate pace, stopping about every 2 minutes to checkout a new landmark, and for the most part there were bike lanes and/or a clear path to ride along. My boyfriend and I speak English, but there were others on the tour that spoke Dutch so Roselle gave the tour in both languages. I highly recommend this tour!

Seville was a very bike friendly city with specific bike lanes and low car traffic. Plus the electric bikes made peddling around an absolute breeze! At the end of the tour Niek even gave us some restaurant suggestions for our stay in town and they turned out to be some of our favorite tapas spots during our stay! Our experience with this company and its staff was superb. Vehicles were modern, safe and clean. Guides and drivers were fantastic and became friends by the time our tours ended. They were founts of knowledge, were very friendly, had good grasp of English and were able to guide us not only to the main sights and monuments, but also to local eateries and shopping areas that were away from the tourist path - which was our preference. They were all very patient and considerate of our needs and adjusted well to our pace, as the heat was brutal. In terms of guides, of particular note were: a) Javier "Javi" Martin, who guided us very well through old town Seville and the Cathedral and Alcazar - great suggestions on dinner locations; b) Guido Pederazzi and Maria Vidal - who accompanied us on our Carmona and Cordoba tour - Guido's upbeat attitude and sense of humor were infectious; despite being a Italian by birth, his knowledge of Spanish and local Andalucia history and culture was impressive, together with his excellent command of English - visits with him and Maria (who was equally considerate and friendly) were memorable; c) Patricia, who accompanied us on a tour of the Basilippo family's olive oil estate and factory- very enthusiastic and ever-smiling. Overall a great bunch of folks - not a stranger among them. Very professional, knowledgeable, caring and courteous/friendly. Kudos to them for being who they are, and to Naturanda for hiring them to guide tours. A memorable family trip to Spain this far, made especially so by folks at Naturanda!

He was a wonderful host, providing a ton of information about the dishes we ordered, the restaurants we visited, Spanish food culture, and Sevilla's tour destinations. Each of the places and the tapas seem to have been carefully chosen; none of the dishes were less than great. Definitely a good idea to do on the first night you're in town, as it gave us ideas for future dishes to order at the same (or different) restaurants. I'm also happy that the tour included a modern tapas restaurant. Without this, I may have stuck to exclusively traditional tapas places.

I had actually found this company on Yelp because initially, I was looking to go on a tapas tour in Barcelona. I booked my tour online for the Barcelona location, but last minute changed my mind and wanted to do the Seville tour instead. This company was incredibly accommodating to last minute changes. They didn't make me feel bad or guilty or charge me extra. Instead, they simply said "Fantastic! The tour in Seville is even better!" We met Baptiste at a central location in Seville (about a 10 minute walk from the Cathedral which is near where we were staying). He gave us a brief summary of the history of the "mushroom" in Seville. It was a fun way to start off the tour. Now let me say, I am not someone who is super into history -- I am on a food and drink tour! But, Baptiste told us fun, short stories or legends about certain parts of the history in Seville and it enhanced our evening all the more. The rest of the night was full of delicious food and drink! The first place we went to was a small cafe that specialized in fish and local beer. We had the fried hake, which was my personal favorite, because it was a better version of fish and chips. We also had fried and marinated anchovies (much much better than any anchovy I've had in the US). Next, we went to a restaurant called Casa Ricardo. This was such a cute, local spot with amazing food. We had Iberian ham, massive olives, and cow's cheek -- All great. That being said, the biggest hit here were the croquettes. They are traditional to Seville, and unlike any other croquettes that we had for the remainder of the trip. Also here, we had an amazing Tempranillo wine. My mom loves wine so she was super excited when Baptiste ordered this one for us. The last place we went to was called D Mercao. This is where we had the main courses. It started with some type of gazpacho soup I believe, and a really tasty Vermouth drink. We then had a butterfish appetizer with ginger, and went on to tasting some dark noodles with aioli and shrimp. Then we tried a panko with duck liver (something I thought I wouldn't like, but of course loved). Finally, we tried a baby pig entree, and had a refreshing meringue dessert to finish up our meal. Each of these courses was paired with cocktails, wine and champagnes. All of them were amazing. Even if I had come across this restaurant on my own, there is no way I would have ordered the dishes that Baptiste recommended -- So it was extremely useful and necessary to have him with us. He was professional, yet friendly and personable. Super easy to speak to him and he was genuinely curious and engaging with our stories/lives. He is still starting up this branch of the company in Seville, so lucky for us, we had a private tour. It was an amazing night that we will always remember. Added bonus -- If you liked the things you tried with Baptiste (which I guarantee you will), he will provide you with a list of other recommendations of things to do, places to eat and food to order even after the evening is over!

He was passionate about the history of the city and about all the tapas and delicious wines in front of us. We had the chance to learn more about the Jamon, the sherry wines ... After our Alhambra tour Carlos recommended a restaurant to us and made sure we were seated prior to leaving us for a memorable meal. Afterwards we toured Granada on foot taking in the beautiful sights including statues, fountains and the cathedral. We even stopped by the bazaar for some impromptue gift shopping. We also stopped for coffee and dessert so he could have us sample some Pionono which was invented especially for the Papel visit. All in all it was a wonderful day and I would highly recommend this tour with Carlos on your next visit.
