I knew it was going to be a long haul day, and at the wee hours of the morning, before everyone was starting their work commutes, I was ahead of them. I was on my way for much needed rest and relaxation. My objective for this stop was to use the facilities and grab a drink. Both of which went splendidly well. Or as close to that as could be expected. The restrooms may have needed a bit of a touch up, but it was early in the morning. Went straight to the cooler and got myself a water. Used the self checkouts and I was back out to continue my trip.

It appeared that the air conditioning was not working, since a huge fan was blowing in the dining area. The service was on the slow side, with long waits for coffee and food. We had to guess whether to seat ourselves or wait for a host. The food itself was mediocre at best, with the eggs and bacon cold on a warm plate. The coffee was weak, but bitter. The pricing was on par with other truck stops, but high considering the quality. We then had to go into the crowded gas station attached to pay and use the filthy, run-down bathrooms. I opted for the two breakfast sandwich deal they had going on and threw in some hashbrown bites. finished tapping on the screen and even though I had already bought a drink at another location, I wanted something sweet. Back to the coolers I went. Used the self checkouts here as well. Scanned and paid for all my stuff and went to find a place to stand while the food was prepared. It would have been quicker if I hadn't gotten the hashbrowns, but a little wait never hurts. Once I had my food, I went out to my vehicle to get things set up so that I could eat and drive. The sandwiches were hot and being wrapped in the foil kept them that way. Hashbrown bites were the perfect way to cap off this quick breakfast meal.
