Went to get an inspection and they claimed that I put an aftermarket flasher module in my car for the middle brake light. It came like that from the factory. They claim that the law says it cannot flash and I searched for this law and it doesn't exist. I have had the car inspected 3 times now in VA with no issues from 3 different inspectors. I think they were just lazy and didn't want to do an inspection. Would never recommend this business to anyone. read more

I was a bit dissapointed That Day 07/08/20 I only went to check why my Air conditioning wasn't cooling my car during this Very Hot weather .. So I was around the area and I called them to check on it .. So as Robert was checking on it, The other person I don't really know his name was like if there's a problem the charges will be between $80 or $91 I was like what? Not employed now and trying to just figure out what wrong Turn to be it was just a switch I have to turn on the car as robert explained to me .. So whiles he was talking I was looking at the other Man he was having a little smile on his face .. I later found out I've been deceived.. I was wondering why he charged me whiles Robert was checking on the car .. The other Man who I don't know his name was saying the charge is $91 I found out from my bank I was $99 .. I did not say anything.. So just because I was black woman and young and was deceived by a white Oldman I loved the services they rendered me previously that's why I got there this time 7/8/2020 and charged me for nothing just to turn on a switch on my car to get the Air condition running I was really disappointed I should've just gone to Auto zone for them to check for free just to turn on a switch Very very disappointed and would not ever go back there for any services or recommend anyone there .. Been there quiet a few times for emissions testing, safety inspections, and an alignment on a particular car that has offset staggered fitment rims that no one else could align properly. I collect cars i have a highly modified one a classic Cadillac. They always are responsible and has far has i can tell honest which in northern Virginia for an auto shop. I bought them a friends car which had some front end damage from a orevioys accident for an alignment they took the time to evaluate the vehicle and not charge me for alignment since the damage was so servere and they couldnt do it even though vehicle was up on lift for 30 minutes ( I would of charged me just for the eval)..... overall a very good shop...... Been going to these guys since we moved to VA last year. All three of our cars were inspected at this business last year. They seem thorough and professional and for the most part, fair and honest. They won't charge you for failing an inspection and will usually offer to fix the problem or let you have it fixed and then redo the inspection. Most places have the right to charge you for a failed inspection and many do. Up until today they would have got a 4+. Today was different: having been told several times over the phone that their lunch hour was at noon, I arrived well before 1130am for my inspection, only to be told that they were having their lunch break early today, for reasons unknown to themselves, that their food had arrived and they felt like eating now. Could I come back in 30 minutes? As I'm driving away, I'm thinking that I took the trouble to show up during their advertised working hours and I specifically avoided their lunch hour, showing up early enough for an easy, quick inspection (I had to have my front tires changed, which I did, in order to successfully complete the inspection). As a customer, I did the right thing by them but they didn't for me. They reneged on their promise of their working hours. So why should I be inconvenienced? I decided that their lunch hour is not my problem. I ended up going to the Exxon station on the corner of Minnieville and Smoketown, done by 12:06pm. Took them 15 minutes. C and I has been a favorite spot of mine for over 15 years since I was driving. Garland and his techs ate to notch and never over charge. They are straight shooters that will tell what's wrong. What needs to be fixed and what can wait. They are the nicest purple to deal with and I would recommend them to everyone in driving distance. The rudest establishment yet since moving to Virginia. Walked in because I needed an inspection/emissions to register my car from New Jersey. Anyway walked in and guy ignored me pretty much and mumbled something I was like excuse me I can't hear you, have a seat ..... The rest was again inaudible. Sat down for like 2 minutes and just left. Sam has got to be the worst thing that has happened to this place. Because my lighter doesn't work (fuse) he wants to fail my emissions test. I can see that my husband will have to take my cars to be inspected in the future. I refuse to pay 12.50 for him to tell me it's the fuse then pay for the fuse. Has it REALLY gotten this bad people? I did mention I was a truck driver and a pretty good mechanic...Im pissed and probably will not return next year! read more

Great bunch of people, who do not take advantage of you, whether you're a female college student who doesn't know anything about cars, or like myself, a gal who knows the basics but not dare-devil enough to attempt most things myself. Worst place I've ever been at in years! I took my car because my passenger air bag light was on and I couldn't pass the safety inspection. Dropped off my car on a Friday around noon to these guys to figure out what the problem was and hopefully repair. Mind you, when I called ahead of time the person who picked up the phone said the diagnostic would be $98. SIX hours later I get a call back telling me that they haven't figured out the problem yet, and needed additional time suggesting to leave my car with them over the weekend because they would have to REMOVE my car seat entirely.... I needed my car for the weekend so I went to pick it up. When I went in, the rude man asked me to pay. I asked for what? He replied for the diagnostic fee. I argued that it was unfair, they had my car for 6 hours and could not figure out what the air bag problem was and I will be getting charged for an incomplete diagnostic?? Guess what his reply was: "You're lucky I'm not charging you $98 PER HOUR plus the labor fee!!". I left shocked. Basically went in there, gave the guy my money for no reason. He also told me if the sensor was broken then I'd have to purchase one from them for nearly $300 again, in addition to more labor fees! Now I'm a college student and I value every penny I have. Not to mention Im a female and have no idea about car maintenance etc. I purchased the sensor online and installed it under my passenger seat. It literally took me 2 minutes, my passenger airbag light turned off and my car passed the inspection! It's a shame that guys like this exist to drain peoples hard earned money. Worst Experience I have ever encountered ! I took my truck there to have a brake line repaired,that evening I get a phone call stating there is a problem. I said what? They said they dropped my truck off of the lift! Broke my running boards off.I then asked if there was any other damage done.They told me no. Later I looked my truck over to only find that there was a whole lot more damage done than what they told me! After telling me they would replace running boards ,they were going to decide for me what type to put on my truck.I said no you will replace them with the same style. Finally after 7 days without a vehicle.I go to pick up my truck and was still charged full price for the brake line. Drove truck home and brakes went to the floor.and there was a noise coming from the front.I called back to tell them about problem.They said maybe there is dust on the brakes.Never in my life heard of that being a cause of noise and brakes going to floor.I had to then take my truck back up there on my only day off ,sit there and wait until they ate their lunch to look at my truck.Come to find out they never test drove it after the repairs.So they had to re-bleed the brake lines. Told me that's normal.I never had a brake job done and had to waste the next day going back to have my brakes re-bleed. The manager here is very unprofessional and rude! Thinks people are stupid.They couldn't even put the new running boards on without scratching them up When I got home my oil filter was damaged and leaking oil .Very Careless with people's Vehicles! I took my truck there for a diagnose and he called me back the following morning and he told me what I needed. His diagnose process is none like I have ever heard of before. He backed my truck up and then told me I needed a whole new rear end and quoted me a minimum of 2000 dollars. When I asked him for the list of parts the truck needed he said I would have to pay extra for him to look at it. Last time I checked a diagnose is looking at the truck and telling the customer the list of parts a truck needs. Yes his diagnose was cheap but that's because it isn't a diagnose at all! Don't take your cars here. He will lie and say yeah ill look at it and then not really look at it. And then when you tell him you will come and get it he gives you an attitude and will tell you to come get it before the end of the day or he will have it towed at your expense. And when you say ok he says oh but you can't drive it because your messing it up more. So what does he want you to do. Save yourself the headache and find another shop! read more
