Just gross. Might want to your breath (and your potty), filthy, foul smelling woman's restroom. My husband indicated that the men's restroom wasn't too bad. I should have used that one instead. This place needs a through leaning. Nice view at the side of the entrance.

    Welcome/main sign.

Clean, plenty of bathroom stalls, great parking, easy off and on highway. Great stop!

The restrooms at this rest stop are disgusting. There are needles in the grass. Do not go.

The women's restrooms are filthy and have a horrible stench. They were fine when we were here a year ago.

Great rest area but is been closed the last 2 times we tried to stop. So don't count on it.

As I pulled in to the parking lot I noticed movement in the grass of the large open grassy lawn area. I maneuvered in to a parking space closer to the movement and opened my car window to watch for the little critter I had seen. Turned out to be a baby chipmunk!!! There was also a small dark brown rodent with no tail, maybe a shrew, dashing back and forth. Birds flitted around the bushes enjoying the evening meal time as well. After watching the wildlife for a little while, I made my way to the restrooms exploring the grassy area and keeping my eyes peeled for the rodents. Both port-a-potti and restroom building options were provided. I used the restrooms in the building. Everything was cleanly and guidelines for using the rest area during COVID-19 were posted in notices on the buildings. Informational placards provide background about the wind turbines around the rest area as well as ideas for more places to explore both nearby and around Washington State at large. Very pleasant place to stop and rest.

I had read up on the Hanford Reach National Monument in advance and knew there weren't facilities on site so I needed to find an alternative. As I was about to reach the national monument I found this rest area. The rest area is clearly marked along the highway heading north/eastbound so I knew it was coming up and it was easy to spot and turn in from Highway 24. There is a designated pet area that I explored and found has an excellent view of a rocky landscape in the distance. A handful of different birds were poking around on the ground and flitting about tree-to-tree as I explored the pet area and the grassy area. The grassy area around the restroom building is large and a great place to roam around. Abundant picnic tables sprinkle the lawn. Restrooms were clean and safety measures for COVID-19 were communicated in posted notices. Vernita Bridge which crosses the Columbia River is also visible from the rest area. Its yellow metal arches/frame beckoning to get closer and scope the bridge out.
