    Chiwana Village at SageCliffe

We stayed here in August of 2010 for a wedding that was taking place next door at Cave B Inn. The…read morebest part was that the rates were less then Cave B and after a long night of wine and food we were able to stumble back to our yurt without worrying about driving to a hotel in Moses Lake. At the time we checked in we didn't realize that Cave B and Chiwana Village were separately operated and we couldn't check in at the lobby of Cave B. Instead we were guided to a separate office to the couple that runs it. Both were very welcoming, nice, and accommodating staying past the time they normally do to check us in. All in all I was a fan. Pros: -The yurt felt like most high end hotels but with a safari twist and definitely very clean. -King sized bed and very comfortable (I think they all have king size beds). -Had a fridge, very large leather sofa, electricity, large bath room with shower (none have a tub), AC/Heat. -The night sky with the millions of stars to look at. -The gorge amphitheater is right there but the crowed isn't. Heads up: -No phone and TV. Since there was a wedding we didn't need the TV but it would have been nice to have one for the time we were in the Yurt. As for the phone our cell phones were dodgy at best and I would have felt safer with a land line if we had an emergency or question. -A flashlight is a must if you plan to walk around the grounds after sunset. It does get dark and much of the trails/walkways do not have lighting. Luckily they provided a small flashlight on our key chain that lit up our path from Cave B to the yurt. -There isn't a front desk to call after hours. The info packet listed Cave B as a contact even though they are separately operated. -The noise of the bathroom light/fan. It will wake anyone up in the middle of the night and there is no way to turn them separately on or the other off/on

That was so helpful that is was not cleaned up and gone. I do have to say the shower pressure was not good at all. They take away the pressure and you take a longer shower. Cuz soap! Water pressure is important. Night light for bathroom. Why don't hotels have fans... it's so weird. The bathroom doesn't have fan, i don't get it but it's not uncommon. Staff was friendly Room was clean!

Pros: Staff is extremely helpful (+1 Star) Keurig in the room Hospitality staff if absolutely amazing. Free breakfast every morning Free Wi-Fi and Ethernet in room Cons: Short shower curtain made for water everywhere after showering Bathroom tiles move as does under the shower. $1.50 for the washer and dryer. That's $3. a load. Seems steep. When we first checked in, the girl at the front counter lied to me. I asked for a room next to my partner. She told us the floor was full. Not 30 seconds later, she puts the rest of my team on that floor. I was slighted for a moment but I wasn't going to let that ruin the trip. This was a business trip. I checked in 2 January and stayed for the month. I am actually still here but the service has been so good, I'm yelping it now. Every morning, we get free breakfast. I'm talking eggs, cinnamon buns, milk, yogurt, fruit, juice, cereal, oatmeal, sausage, biscuits and gravy ... spared no expense. They really meant it when they said free breakfast. It's served for 3.5 hours every day. The hotel is right next to a lot of eating establishments. There is always a place to go. Domino's will deliver right to your room. Nightly they lay out cookies for everyone and coffee is available 24/7. All in all, I was absolutely taken care of. I miss home and know if I ever travel, I can stay here again. Thanks y'all.

We bought a ticket package for a show at The Gorge and were assigned this Moses Lake hotel with a shuttle for each day. We couldn't have been more impressed. Clean rooms, the comfiest beds ever, nice big open bathrooms, and finally, the best breakfast we'd ever had at a free hotel breakfast bar. The hotel is in a great location in the town, with a couple restaurants right nearby and only a few turns away from a grocery shops. For those traveling to The Gorge, it is a bit of a distance if you're not traveling with a shuttle, but I think we were comfortable and didn't experience the noise of after parties at hotels closer to the venue.

It was great and quiet until I witnessed one of the workers letting a family full of kids inside the back gate. The kids were loud and splashing so then my relaxing was over and I just wanted to leave even with my loud airpods in my ears. Then, the dad came back in with floats for them all so then it got even worse. One bad apple spoiled the bunch for not only me, but for another guest who was trying to enjoy the pool area as well. #FML I had even messaged the hotel beforehand to make sure the pool was opened because I was so excited to get to end the summer after Labor Day at a public pool and they told me they were still opened. They were opened alright. To everyone apparently.

The room was so-so. It hadn't been updated in a while. When we first entered it had what I think of as "old motel" smell, as though people had once smoked cigarettes in it. But after that I didn't notice that smell anymore. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was adequate. We were very happy to have a fridge and microwave because we had breakfast in our room. We could hear noise from above us and next to us, but we are not noise sensitive so it didn't bother us. The staff was very nice. I had accidentally booked two rooms when we only needed one, and didn't realize it until 8pm the first night. They technically could have charged me for that night, but they didn't.

Unfortunately we're not able to afford the stay on the night we actually came in. Brenda the wonderful front desk gal, went above and beyond , tracked down the owner. For not looking like much from the road. I was completely blown away by the staff and owner. From now on.. our go to hotel for concerts at the Gorge. Thank you Thank you Thank You! Sincerely, The Overholts
