Initially came in to get pricing done for some carbon-copy booklets to compare to other printing locations and this one had the best pricing, so the office I work for decided to do business with this one. My first encounter, I had met a couple stuff members, who turned me over to Kim, who I believe is the manager/owner of the place. Super fast with pricing and was really nice. When we decided we wanted to move forward with the order, my office had sent a scanned image of what we wanted on the booklet. Told John, who communicated with us over e-mail, to COPY EXACTLY what our order forms looked like. Although he did get the job done, I felt that his proofs weren't done carefully throughout the process because he made weird mistakes on the order form that we had asked to COPY EXACTLY. It only takes a few extra minutes to look over the form and compare your work to make sure it's right. Obviously it will be checked over from our side as well, but it took a few times to get right. When I replied to get those mistakes fixed, I had to mention the SAME mistake more than twice for him to fix it. I do appreciate his patience with working with our office while he worked on our proofs. Fast forward, we get the job done and we receive the most unprofessional e-mail saying our job was ready for pick up. Grammar mistakes and layout of the e-mail was so unprofessional. Whatever, it was just a notice to say our order was ready, so brushed it off. My boyfriend got to the printing location to pick up our order and they tell us we have a balance. My boyfriend calls me to tell me that and he hands to phone over to the guy. I tell him "How is that possible if your policy is that you DON'T START AN ORDER until WE PAY THE ORDER INVOICE?" Guy gave me flip-flop answers and we had to send my boss's bank statement to get the order forms. My boyfriend also mentioned to me that when he was waiting to get helped, two bigger guys working there had helped someone "unpleasant" and when that person left, they literally talked sh*t about that person in front of my boyfriend calling that person a b*tch. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL IS THAT? Overall, experience could've been better, however the job done was good and the price was competitive. Everyone else on here seems to have a better experience. read more

Select Graphics is THE BOMB. I called twelve printers to get quotes for my save the dates and other wedding items printed, and of those twelve, five called me back. Select Graphic HANDS DOWN had the best customer service, best quality, and most reasonable price point for the quality you were getting. To top it all off, their turn around time is so fast! Christina Pham helped me along the way and was super nice and beyond helpful. Her suggestions came out great. My graphic designer complimented the paper that everything was printed on, and even wanted a copy for his portfolio since they all came out so nicely. I waited till the last minute to get my menus and place cards printed and they got them back to me in three days. I have to start out by saying, thank you to Christina Pham (manager) for being so amazing! I was shopping around for decently priced printing companies in the OC area to print out my wedding invites. I literally emailed about 10 printing companies to get quotes and there was a flaw with each one EXCEPT select graphics and printing. I received a response the very next day with a quote. What's great is they provide the paper and cut down of the invites, that way you don't have to worry about doing anything yourself. If you do want a sample of what your print will look like, it is an extra fee. Also, if you're a first timer here, there's an awesome yelp offer! Take advantage of that. My invites turned out fabulous! And it's was done the very same day (rush processing is an option) but if you have time, the turn around is about 3 days. Mind you, my invites were on a PDF that I provided and all I needed was to print them out. Select used to be great. I have printed there for years. This time around has been a less than acceptable outcome. I emailed and asked for reprint. Just change the address. That is all. Our cards were printed and the color was WAY off, so much so that our brand was unrecognizable. We sent them back saying that this was not acceptable. They said our files were in CMYK and that is why they came out that way. This is the same way the file was submitted in 2006. Why is this now a problem? They offered a reprint. The reprint cut off the email address on the card, another un-usable card. The job also lost one of our color bars at the bottom of the card, which would not affect our ability to use the cards, but they were not what we ordered. A second reprint (read third try) was ordered. This time, only my partner's card was printed. Mine was not. I don't have time to do this again and send someone over to pick up the cards. I will make due with the old ones with the wrong address and find my printer elsewhere. read more

I really wanted to like this place but a few unresolved conflicts left a sour taste in my mouth. 1. They close at 6pm (some days earlier) and are only open Monday-Friday. I don't live in Orange County so going into the store can be a challenge with those business hours. They are also strict on the closing time because I made a trip down from LA to meet with the designer. I got there around 5:30pm and he was out the door by literally 6pm. 2. John, the graphic designer assigned to my project, seemed rushed and didn't place priority on my wedding invitation. One of the things he said that took me back was, "I am working on a big project that's more important right now so yours have to wait." Okay...even if that's true you don't freaking tell your client that. 3. I asked to see a mock up of the invitation and John said no they don't do that. Maybe a week later, an e-mail was sent asking me to come in to check the printed version. WTH?! I was pressed for time and was unable to come into the store due to work (and again their business hours did not work in my favor) so I sent in my mom. I had already approved the invitation prior to this through e-mail so I didn't understand why they needed me to come in to get it approved again. Anyway, when my mom came in, she made some changes to the wordings which did not get approved by me and they printed out the entire work order with her revisions. She added accent marks to the names (which I did not want) and changed a comma to a dash (which I also did not want). 4. I had to go through and change every - (dash) to a , (comma) with a black pen which cheapens the whole look of the invitations. Paying approximately $5 per invitation, I expected perfection! This could have all been prevented had they printed out a mock up for me in the first place when I was there IN PERSON. 5. The picture and color quality of the invitation wasn't all that great. All in all, I would not recommend getting your wedding invitations done through Select Graphics & Printing. There are cheaper and better places that specializes in wedding invitations so save your time and money and go elsewhere. This place seems to gear more to businesses/companies printing needs than personal. read more

I got 500 matte business cards with spot UV, really helpful and awesome service from Duke. Gave me a five day turnaround estimate, it was ready in three. Came out just how I wanted them! Seems like the complaints from other reviewers were technical issues that could have been resolved on the user end. They work with that you give them, and if its not vectorized, colored correctly, or made to be print-ready, of course you're going to end up with fuzzy font, pixelated photos, and off centered cuts. They have a really small parking lot, and they do close at 6pm, but you can always park at the Los Cotijas taco shop next door and grab some fish tacos or taquitos while you're there! read more

I printed out my buisness cards with them before and was very satisfied.....unfortunately the second time around my cards came out off centered. I refused to take them like that so the gentleman said he would print out another 1000 for this inconvenience. When I went to pick up the cards I noticed the box was not full and I had a feeling it was not the 1000 I paid for. So I ended up counting the cards as soon as I got home. ...yes it was 400 less then what I paid for. I called them right away to let them know and the lady in the front was very rude. They could not print out the rest of my cards nor was I compensated the amount I lost. They do a very good job in printing, but I would have to say they are horrible in customer service. I was recommended to go here by my friend to have my wedding invitations foil printed with Christina. I already had my invitations made on a template and all I needed was to get them printed with silver foil. All the places near me couldn't accommodate what I wanted. I don't live close to Select GP but Christina was able to do everything I wanted with my invitations. She adjusted certain colors so it would be exactly what I wanted. Quick turn around too! I was shopping around to find the right place to get my business cards done. I sent e-mails out to 7-8 different places to get a feel. Select Graphics not only got back to me within the hour, but also with the most details and information. Geneva was absolutely thorough and extremely helpful through the whole process! Things that are awesome about working with Select Graphics: -Prompt! Emails are returned immediately (within the hour). This is a huge PLUS; so many print shops make you wait and wait and you have no idea if they got your file. Geneva is right on top of things. -Informative: I originally had my font in a script font and Geneva recommended me to use a more serif font to give it a more professional look. I really really appreciate that. --------------------------- They suggested my boss to order an extra large envelope that didn't fit the card. The envelope was 3 sizes too big for the card. And he had come up to their office and addressed the issue and instead of apologizing, they argued with him. They said, that it does fit. Yes... You can technically put the card inside the envelope but it is not practical and looks completely ridiculous to put a small card into a hugely oversized envelope. That doesn't make any sense. So that was basically $100 wasted on envelopes. Also, we had ordered custom business letterhead stationary from them. And when we insert it into the printer to print something onto the custom stationary paper, a bit of the ink melts off and leaves a weird watermark like print on the paper. It doesn't look professional or clean at all. We are never going to do business with them again. read more
