The screw ups where to many to mention here but the highlights are: Misaligned and crooked grout lines, Tiles not flush, exhaust fan not vented thru roof. And to top it off they did not pull a permit for the electrical or plumbing. They even hid a junction box behind the sheetrock in a wall ( this is a major NEC violation). I had to hire a master electrician to come in and fix the wiring. i did get compensation back from lowes after the store manager finally came out to look at the horrible install. This is not a good company to do business with!

We…read morereceived several quotes but went with Joy because I felt very comfortable with her and she was easy to work with. She has lived in or around my neighborhood for decades and I liked that her shop was just up the street. Her crew was very respectful, professional, always on time and willing to answer any (and all!) questions. It was a long project and there were usually two people in our house for 6 weeks. Like I said - it was a full gut to the studs and then built back out. The project was completed on time and the changes to quote/contract were only due to requests and changes we made. There were never any surprises. They laid down floor coverings every morning to protect the hallway, front entry and bedroom and then cleaned up every day when they left. They did our master bathroom first. They ripped out a 40+year old tub/shower combo insert, toilet, vanity, mirror, popcorn ceiling, etc. They built a custom shower floor, moved the drain and installed new plumbing. They tiled the floor, the walk-in shower and a full wall of tile behind the toilet and vanity. The end result was beautiful and the work was fantastic. There will always be questions and some touch up on a project this size but they were always quick to fix anything that I noticed seemed "off" to me and even came back on a Saturday to check on a non-emergency item that they knew we were anxious to have completed. They did the guest bathroom after the master was complete. Same thing - ripped out an old tub/shower insert, removed everything down to the studs, removed popcorn, etc. They then installed a brand new tub, toilet, plumbing, vanity, mirror, and added some electrical. They tiled the floor and around the shower, build a custom shelf at one end of the tub, installed a light tube (a great way to bring natural light into a dark bathroom/hallway!) and installed the vanity, mirror and lights. Joy and her team were a pleasure to work with and very helpful when I had questions about some final decisions I had to make. They offered suggestions when I asked. We purchased our kitchen during IKEA kitchen sales - and realized later it is a pain to find the right crew to do it, as a lot of general contractors out there are either not willing to touch IKEA products or to charge ridiculous amount to read through the manuals. Of course we can go with IKEA partner - but they are kinda on the expensive side and so swapped due to the sales event. I met with Joy and Donna - both are very knowledgeable and decided to work with them. Joy's crew worked hard to stick with the agreed timeline and the quality is beyond expectation. From the very beginning the quote Joy sent over was itemized, clear and precise. They also have a very comprehensive contract to sign with you (I was surprised to see some of the companies dont do that!). Before signing - all the terms and clauses are carefully explained. During the process - her crew is NEVER LATE. Actually they are often early! Martinez led the project and he is very dedicated, detail oriented and patient. He helped answer all my questions (yes it is very important for a remodeling new-bee). Whenever there is a problem he would always make sure to walk me through the options and offer his professional opinion. The office crew is amazing to work with as well - they are very responsive, willing to listen and accommodate. We had one minor fix after the remodeling and when I raised the question, the office sent their guy over right away. Overall I will definitely recommend them!

I feel like I've moved into a brand new house- I'm absolutely thrilled with how the renovations turned out. The first renovation we completed was the guest bathroom, we retiled all wall surfaces, replaced the vanity and added penny tile flooring. I showed Erick several ideas that I'd found online and the final result is a million times better than what I had in mind. Erick walked me through what was feasible, what he's seen in his experience that works well, and also helped me price out all additional design pieces to help determine what upgrades were worth the extra cost. For the kitchen, we opened up a wall into the living room, created a large prep/counter space with barstools, and moved the refrigerator over to where the pantry cabinet was. These changes really transformed the entire layout of the main shared areas within the house. Once everyone agreed on the design, the EJL team went to work knocking out the kitchen in record time. We replaced all flooring, counters, cabinetry, tilework, appliances, and added new lighting. We also added electricity to the new pantry/appliance cabinet and installed kidney bean shelves in the lower corner cabinets to maximize the tight space. Because we knocked out a wall, Erick ensured that the ceiling in both the kitchen and adjoining dining room was taped and floated so that the two flowed cohesively. The result of the renovation is a significantly brighter and more functional space to cook in that allows for a semi-open layout that feels as if we've  added several hundred extra square feet to the house! The master bath was a fairly extensive remodel as well- the garden tub was converted into a standing shower and everything else was pretty much gutted from top to bottom. EJL has crews that can complete a wide array of renovation work from the simple to complex. We now have a huge walk in glass shower with beautiful tilework and two hidden nooks as well as a lower ledge for shaving. We went from 1980's seashell sinks to taller shaker style cabinets with more functional (and easier to clean!) drop in sinks. We also added more mirror space, lighting, and tripled the cabinet storage. It's refreshing in today's environment to see a contractor that will follow up and be committed to his client until the job is complete. Erick was meticulous in checking all the small details- we plan on using EJL in the near future to replace our floors/trim/doors and would recommend them without hesitation.

Rashid returned promptly, concealed the TV wires, and made sure everything looked much better. I really appreciate that the company took my feedback seriously and stood behind its work. The crew was courteous and professional, and management's willingness to respond quickly and resolve the issue made all the difference. Thank you to Rashid and the management team for the excellent customer service and for making sure I was satisfied with the final result. Very expensive for the service provided. The workers were competent and courteous, but the job resembled general handyman work rather than a professional TV installation. I expected them to mount the TVs, connect the cable boxes and Apple TVs, and organize or conceal the cords, including providing wire covers if needed. Instead, they left the TV wires exposed and did not connect the other devices. They mounted two 65-inch TVs using brackets I supplied and rearranged two dressers. The total charge was $795. Last year, another provider installed these same TVs, connected all devices, concealed the wiring, and included two wall mounts for about half the price. Be sure to clarify the scope of work and total cost before hiring this company.

Thought they would skip out on day 7 so told them I'd pay them when job was done. They got really mad but came back so they got paid. Not a great job. Didn't know what they were doing. Would not recommend these folks at all. (Also, it's illegal to charge tax on residential services so let them know this).

He went to Home Depot and purchased all the necessary supplies needed and completed the job the same day. We hired them again to help install a new bathroom cabinet with built in sink. They did an excellent job and helped us finish our renovated guest bathroom looking brand new. We also hired Josue to help tear down and reinstall a side fence shared with 1 neighbor. He came early in the morning and helped remove the old fence posts, string a line for reference and leveling. And mixed over 20 bags of concrete to pour into the fence post holes. He is a very hard worker and we will definitely hire him and his team for future projects.
