5 stars is not enough for this place but there's no option to add more so...5 it is. :) From the…read morevery first phone call I had with Letty to ask some insurance questions and learn more about their services, I've been blown away by how kind and genuine every member of their team is. You can tell they all really care about each client and are truly passionate about helping people. I think the word "vibes" has officially been overused at this point but I can't find another way to articulate that this place has great vibes. It just does. I've been working specifically with Amanda for about a month now and always look forward to my appointments with her. She's extremely knowledgeable, helpful and so easy to talk to. Their gym is clean, quiet and has everything you could want in one place (even that weighted thing you push around on the fake grass if that's your jam). Every time I go to Chain Effect, either Honey or Letty are at the front welcoming people and always share in your excitement of the progress that's being made, whether it's PT or nutrition. So glad I found this place and highly, highly recommend!

Upon arrival, the clinic was totally COVID safe, and measures are taken very well. I used to take physiotherapy sessions in the UK, and I needed to continue them in the USA. I was fortunate to meet Taylor; he is very friendly and explained everything in simple terms that I could understand. Personal opinion Taylor was one of the best physiotherapists I ever encountered; he diagnosed and treated the first session's problem. The issue was having pain in my right shoulder and continue to my figures. We tried dry needles and other treatments. I highly recommend the treatments at the clinic. Yousef,

Yesterday, I had a knee injury that was quickly swelling up. I filled out a form online to get an…read moreappointment with their urgent care, and literally one minute later, received a phone call to schedule. They were able to get me in almost immediately. Once there, I was quickly brought back, given xrays, and then saw the orthopedic specialist on staff, Dr Blaine Etzel. He immediately put me at ease with his warm, laid back and caring personality. He asked me lots of questions, gave my knee an exam, and showed me my xrays. He even gave me a copy of them without my asking. He explained exactly what was going on with my knee, referred me to PT, scheduled me for a follow up appointment in 4 weeks to come back here and see a knee specialist to make sure PT was working, and just answered all of my questions so thoroughly. He even offered me an immediate treatment to bring the swelling down and help with the pain, which I decided to accept, and am happy I did. Today, the next day, I'm already feeling much better, even though I know I still have weeks of PT ahead of me. I was so impressed with Dr Etzel and highly recommend him - it couldn't have been a better overall experience. I believe he works urgent care Fridays-Sundays, if I'm correct. The lady at the front desk was also super kind and easy to talk with. I just moved here from Austin, TX, where the options for a sudden knee injury are either generic urgent care or hospital emergency room. These places are useless, and all they do is xray you, give you crutches, and then have you call around to schedule with an external orthopedic specialist. This takes time and effort, and then you take the first available appointment, which might be a week or so out. Then that person will finally do the correct exam, tell you what they think is wrong, and then write a referral to PT. So it all takes a very long time with no quick answers. This was SUCH a better, one-stop experience, and I left knowing what to do! You can even come here for the PT or an MRI if you chose. They have it all here! Just so impressed by this place and grateful they were here for me.

The staff is always professional and they go the extra mile to assist. The reception phone etiquette is top tier. They're always able to accommodate me with rescheduling and today I had to make an appointment for a Walk-in for my daughter. This location was highly rated for sports physical therapy and urgent care needs. My daughter is an athlete and often she experiences sprains when competing. Today's walk-in appointment was excellent. We met with Jake & Anna. They saw us right away and helped us with choosing an affordable & supportive ankle brace. Thanks to the team. I love how convenient this location is from home and the late evening hours.

Based upon my experience, this is not the place to go for rib injuries like costochondritis. I had…read moretherapy here for 6 weeks and, while they were able to increase flexibility and strength, they really do not deviate from their playbook which did not include addressing my main problem and what brought me into the office to begin with. When, after about four weeks, I mentioned to Chip that I believed it was costochondritis, he was rather dismissive, even after I forwarded information to him about the condition. Well, if all you want to do is run your playbook, who needs a diagnosis? At that point I started to look elsewhere. Upon discharge, he admitted to me that they have not had as much success as they would like with rib and hip injuries. I would've preferred to hear that at onset. Also, I do not recommend spending the $1000 for their laser therapy. The results for me were extraordinarily temporary, despite being applied directly to the rib cage area during my tenure there.. 2025 Update: I was able to get significant relief from an out of state osteopath who specialized in OMT and was able to place the ribs back into place. Forget wasting your time, energy and money on practices that do little more than run their play book.

Activcare PT does a pretty good job. Trust me. I've spent lots and lots of time there too…read more.. I was a patient of theirs last year for a low back and right hip problem. I went twice a week for 5 weeks. They know the structure of the body so well and how things are affecting each other. I was not always paired with the same therapist which bothered me a little at first, but then i was okay with it because they're all extremely professional, friendly, and work hard. The problems were never fully resolved and my poor body was given restrictions -- no more yoga, but they certainly got me back to living. Now, I'm back again. This time it's for mid (thoracic) to upper back pain, scapula (t-zone and shoulders), and neck problems after straining my back. Now it's no more running, but it's not even been a month so we'll see how they progress. The staff has changed some in just a year, but that's because they're growing. Last year they only had 1 location and now they have 2 locations in Raleigh (both near Rex but the newer one focuses more on women's health) and 1 in Fayetteville. If you want actual therapist suggestions, Stephen Reed is one of my favorites. He's very calm, precise, focused, and young but incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with. Carolyn is no longer at the main center, but I worked with her a lot last year. She was sweet, calm, and also very good. I believe she is now focusing more on women's health at their new center which is nearby though. If you need PT, they have great hours -- open from 7am to 7pm Mon through Fridays and 8am to 12noon on Saturday. They really work with you and try to meet your needs. It's very convenient on Blue Ridge Road just down the road from Crabtree Mall. All the staff is super to work with and their equipment is not only pretty new, but it's diverse so there's a huge variety in terms of treatment plans. They'll do an initial evaluation and tailor your treatment to your individual needs.
