Doctor Sam is gentle but thorough in his chiropractic adjustments. In diagnosing issues in your bones and muscles, Doctor Sam is a talented detective. I am very grateful that Doctor Sam helps me stay healthy and functional so I dont have pain or headaches. I am reluctant to post how great Doctor Sam is because I dont want it to be harder for me to get an appointment but if you need a chiropractor in York, you cannot do better than Doctor Sam. I found this unprofessional and devalued my time. She gave the person before me an hour and cut mine short by 10 mins so she wouldn't be over for the next person after me. My husband told me she doesn't do deep tissue even if you ask her, he said he was a little disappointed with it. She also made a reference to a woman weight who she just finished massaging prior to me. She made some comments to me regarding it and said that it was a relief to massage me cause I'm smaller. I found this offensive, referring to the weight of her last paitent. It was heartbreaking to hear this cause I literally just listened to the massage patient struggle with weight in the waiting room. This isn't fair or ethically right. It rubbed me the wrong way and myself and my husband will not be having our massage done by her ever again.

I have been receiving occupational therapy here following hand surgery, and the therapist treating me is also the owner of the practice. During my appointment, she voluntarily shared a story about a former patient who used pronouns outside of "he" or "she." She stated that she refused to use those pronouns and expressed that she does not respect people who do. She also commented that her daughter is "too much of a stickler" for LGBTQ+ rights. This conversation had nothing to do with my treatment, yet it was brought into a healthcare setting where patients should feel safe, respected, and welcome regardless of their identity. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I found these comments deeply disappointing and offensive. I also have family members who use they/them pronouns, so hearing a healthcare provider openly describe refusing to respect a patient's identity was unsettling. Everyone is entitled to their personal beliefs. However, when those beliefs are expressed in a way that signals certain patients may not be treated with the same respect or dignity, people deserve to know before choosing where to receive care. If you are non-binary, gender-fluid, or simply expect your healthcare providers to respect patients' identities, I would encourage you to consider this experience before choosing this practice.

Three years ago, a car accident left me with lower back pain. After months of ineffective physical…read moretherapy and drugs prescribed by a local orthopedic group, I decided to try chiropractic for the first time. Co-workers recommended Dr. Czop. He immediately figured out that the orthopedic docs were treating the wrong part of my back. Tight muscles in my mid and upper back were puling my hips out of line, causing the lower back pain. I felt relief after the first treatment and 3 months later, I felt great for the first time in almost a year. During one visit, I was wearing a wrist brace. A different orthopedic group told me to wear it as needed because surgery to fix my wrist could make things worse. I even sold my motorcycle because the wrist pain was too much to bear while riding. Dr. Czop asked about my symptoms and began working the muscles near my elbow. Immediate relief. Turns out, the muscles were closing off the nerves and blood flow. Wish I'd asked him to look at it before selling the bike. I continue to see Dr. Czop as needed and recommend him every time I get the chance. His office isn't fancy and he doesn't have a staff, but he really knows what he's doing and cares about his patients more than any doctor I've met.
