It feels like they're downsizing and stretching their staff too thin -- property managers are now handling multiple cities (and even states), which means they have no real understanding of the local Denver market anymore. My property has been vacant for over 5 months, and the only leasing strategy Mynd seems to have is to drop the rent every two weeks. There's no creativity, no local insight, and very little proactive effort to get it rented. On top of that, I was billed $400 for a simple garage trash pickup, which feels completely unreasonable. Even worse, their much-advertised Rental Guarantee turned out to be unreliable. My property manager initially confirmed that my property was covered under the guarantee, only to reverse the next day and say it wasn't, citing made-up and inconsistent reasons. Mynd used to be a great company with responsive service and a strong tech platform. Now, it seems like the financial pressure is pushing them to cut corners and operate in questionable ways. If you're an investor looking for dependable property management, I'd strongly suggest going with a local company that truly knows the market and values transparency.

It's funny, for being a 100 year old building, this is the first apartment I've ever lived in where I didn't need to make a maintenance call. Only reason I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars is because we often have bums sleeping in our mail room. The front door is unlocked and they camp out in there. I've personally seen a man shoot up and on another occasion smoke what I assume to be meth, on the floor of the front entrance. Over all a great place if you can deal with the terrible neighborhood parking.

We have rental houses in 6 different states after moving 10 times with the military. We have lots…read moreof experience with several rental agents over the past 20 years, both good and terrible. We started using RentVest 5 years ago in Tucson (after the previous company changed managers 3x in 3x years) and recently we switched to RentVest in Denver as well about a year ago. They have been a great property manager in both locations. Not only do they charge a smaller monthly fee, but they don't have a bunch of ridiculous extra fees for us and for the tenant like the old rental agents did. Most importantly, they seem to care about our property as if it was their own, and help to keep the maintenance costs down and reasonable, unlike a few rental agents in the past whom we had to fire for multiple sub-standard "repairs" and estimates that were routinely 200%-300% higher than their competitors in the same town. *Bottom line*: Since we have hired RentVest in both TUCSON and DENVER, our stress (and that of our tenants) has gone way down and our profits have gone way up...now we wish RentVest would quickly expand to the other 4 states and cities where we have rental homes.
