They were responsive and a tech came out within a day or two. It turns out the water was due more to my drain hose and had nothing to do with the equipment. The tech then ran through my entire softener to make sure it was operating correctly and left. No charge, although I'd have gladly paid for a service call. Sharp is a top-notch company. My dad recommended them to me after he had a great purchase and install experience. I won't go anywhere else for anything I can get from Sharp.

The water softener they put in is over 15 years old now and never had a problem. We were so happy with the water softener we've had them do some other plumbing work such as changing toilets, installing a whole house reverse osmosis system and adding hose bibs. I wrote to the owner but got a reply from someone else who said they don't provide a breakdown of parts and labor. I requested a detailed receipt and never received it. I understand prices vary, but this felt out of step with market rates. My suggestion: always ask for a full cost estimate before signing anything, and if something doesn't seem fair, speak up.
