Sergio has worked for me for 18 months. He drained & bead cleaned my tile $1500, installed new…read morefilter system $2350 5/24, suggested a new saltwater system $2500 installed last week 8/24, until all of my pool equipment was STOLEN 4 days later. He then made another $5050 to reinstall an entire new system again after I agreed to pay him before Farmers even took care of the claim. Sergio hired a friend, Jaime an installer who had only done work ONLY inside gate guarded communities, I was the first install job where I was not secure in a gate guarded community. Sergio immediately questioned him knowing this was suspicious and when we started investigating, I shared all of the negative reviews from Yelp, and he said he never vetted him. They broke into my backyard, ruined my gates and professionally stole it and hauled it over the 5-foot block wall and out of my yard. I have 5-to-8-foot walls around my entire home, this was not easy to obtain access and certainly to remove with the weight going over the block walls. Sergio contacted the police department and placed a report since I was two hours away. My neighbor has been reviewing the camera footage to hopefully catch and convict, but the police department included nothing really happens criminally anymore! Sergio offered to cover my $1000 deductible, but when it came to the final payment, he didn't honor the commitment he provided me with in writing. In fact, after looking into the cost of the equipment he pocketed $5,000+ for both installations. I spent thousands on deductibles, new security and camera system for my yard, additional expenses to take time off of work, gas and all of the work with the added stress of feeling completely violated by allowing this to happen. To top it off his father has been cleaning my pool and we have had algae and mold of the tile which I have asked to be cleaned in multiple communications even when he was on his honeymoon. I just can't get over the lack of integrity, so I terminated him. In addition, when I asked for my other pump to be reinstalled (which was new) he told me he got rid of it. It was new and most likely sold!! He sent me a text message offering to pay the $1000 deductible but after demanding the full payment saying that I agreed to pay for the new system. This was a painful and expensive lesson be careful who you hire and who they bring onto your property as this has cost me sleepless nights and thousands of dollars!!!!

It started well, then my March tenants complained that pool is not clean. i checked my cameras and it turned out that most weeks the service is once only (but I am charged for two times). The person denied it and said that tenants are incorrect (probably did not know I have cameras). I don't mind occasional skipping as long as the pool is clean but this is how my pool looks (green and dirty) after 4 weeks of house being empty and zero pool use and me being charged for twice a week + additional chemicals.

I contacted Bob Christmas Eve because of pool issues I was having. Bob also gave me recommendations for maintenance and I ended up hiring one of them that also knew how to address the problem, I was having without having to go to a more aggressive route. I appreciate that even though I didn't hire Bob for his services, he was able to provide me with contacts to give me options on solving my problem. I highly recommend you contact Bob because I learned through this process that a number of maintenance vendors use him for their repairs and whether he can or can't directly help you, he will refer you to someone that will! So how can you lose?

On our latest visit, fed up with yet another failed attempt to use the spa, we tried calling their current pool guy. After not getting any response from him, I searched Yelp, came across Outback Pools, and called thinking we would be lucky if we heard back on a Saturday afternoon. Well Bob picked up right away and was able to come to my parents' house the same day. Not only is Bob responsive, he is also genuinely a nice guy. He spent quite some time sussing out several issues with the pool system that the previous pool guys had failed to mention to my parents. They knew that they didn't use the pool often and were counting on the fact that they wouldn't notice. Bob was extremely patient, carefully explaining each issue and what was needed for the pool to function properly. He had the opportunity to upsell my parents on a number of items and/or labor but instead honestly advised them on where they could save money. Bob and Outback Pools are proof that excellent customer service is still out there if you look for it.
