    Tahini ice cream sandwich
    Winnie S.

Came for a late dinner for my birthday as we were in the area and have been wanting to try after someone told us it is her favourite Greek restaurant in town. The decor was very nice and hip. We started with the banaganoush and the server recommended the mussels as it is their signature dish and we also ordered the Arctic char. The off the shell mussels indeed had complex flavours as it is cooked with pork broth. It was very tasty and we wiped up all the sauce with the focaccia bread that it came with. The artic char with dill sauce and pea tip was refreshing with the tangy dill sauce. The skin was crispy too. We finished with the Tahini ice cream sandwich which was a hint of salt. Overall it was a very pleasant meal.

We came on a Saturday for a birthday dinner. I got the ottoman-opoeia which was delicious. I liked the lemon and the spiced plum sharbat. Very well balanced Scallop crudo ($25) - the strawberry vinaigrette was an interesting addition. I actually enjoyed the scallops and they tasted quite fresh Dungeness crab pide ($22) - there was actually quite a bit of Dungeness crab on this dish. There was really no point in the cheese as it didn't add any flavour to the dish. I liked the crispy bread. It did feel like it was missing and extra texture component to tie it together Calamari (24) don't get this dish. Calamari wasn't crunchy at all. Was almost a bit chewy. Mussels and octopus ($34) - flavourful dish. I liked the addition of the fennel for the crunch. The focaccia was TOO BURNT. they placed the burnt side on the bottom so you can't see it in the picture but it was so burnt I couldn't finish it. The mussels and octopus were well cooked. Decent dish except for the over charred focaccia (literally black on the bottom) Lamb chops ($45) - the lamb chops were well cooked. The main issue was that the sauce tasted a bit like sweet charsiu (BBQ sauce) sauce. I also felt like the lamb flavour was over masked by the sauce Bavette steak ($52) - forgettable dish. Nothing stood out about it at all. Wouldn't get it again Halibut ($45) - loved the brown butter sauce in this. Spinach added a nice freshness to it. Very basic but very well done dish. Halibut was well cooked Fried donut balls topped with ice cream - these donuts were made with rice and very interesting. Nothing I've had anywhere else before. It tasted like a rice pudding that's been fried which was exactly what it was. Decent cinnamon clove flavour. Not bad at all Service was decent. They came and checked up on us often and made sure everything was fine. They gave us free ice cream for the birthday girl. The ambiance is perfect for date night as it's really dark. At times it can get a bit loud. The food came at a steady pace. Overall I thought the food was okay but nothing to really write home about. Some interesting dishes like the scallop crudo and the Dungeness crab pide. Service was good. Wouldn't come back but worth trying once (drinks are okay)

Went here for a birthday meal with friends and got their tasting menu. The place is beautiful and the energy/vibe inside was fun and energetic yet also romantic. I had to call in advance to book the table for a larger group and it seemed like the place was booked the whole night. Food wise, it was very good. The only thing was that it seemed rather bread heavy. 3 of the starting dishes had bread or naan and it was rather filling. There also wasn't any other variety of carbs. By the time the meat came out at the end, many of us were already rather full. The rack of lamb was a stand out for me personally and I would return for it. Overall it was a good dining experience and the service was attentive and friendly. I would likely return but would not do the tasting menu again.

What an experience! Finally tried this much hyped place and they did live up to the hype. We tried several things, like the famous their famous humus and bread, calamari, lamb popsicles, pork chops, steak tenderloin, and of course..dessert. Everything was superior. The pork chop was so succulent and tender, the sauce that came with it took it to another level. The steak tenderloin was so tender and juicy. Lamb popsicles were on point and marinated well. Calamari was ordinary, but still Good. Desert also amazing. Service quick and attentive. My only Issue for the 4 stars is quantity. For the prices they are charging, I'm sure they can increase the qty a bit more and make the bread free. Lots of free parking around. Place is clean and well organized. Just a note, this is NOT a Greek Place. It's Mediterranean meets a side Of Greece. Lol. Cheers! Happy eating!

I wanted to take the napkin holder home!

I really enjoyed their pizza--the presentation was beautiful (I can't remember the name, unfortunately!). I went here with my best friend, and the ambiance is so cute; it even made me feel like I was in Greece, which I've always wanted to visit. I also love that there's free and convenient parking, and it's not in downtown Vancouver, so the drive wasn't too far. I would definitely come back! Service was professional~

A few days ago, I visited this place and it turned out to be a really satisfying dining experience from start to finish. The food felt thoughtfully prepared and full of character, with flavors that were balanced rather than overpowering. The grilled fish was beautifully cooked, tender on the inside with a nice char on the outside, and paired perfectly with the herb and garlic topping. The scallops were delicate and fresh, served with a light sauce that let their natural sweetness shine. I also really enjoyed the lamb chops, rich, juicy, and well seasoned, clearly cooked with care. The salad was fresh and vibrant, adding a nice contrast to the richer dishes. Overall, everything felt honest and well executed. It's the kind of place where you can tell the kitchen respects the ingredients

Amazing restaurant for Mediterranean food. Their restaurant is beautiful, well decorated with a great atmosphere. Their service is amazing, the staff so helpful and knowledgeable. Their menu has great options. We started with their calamari and wine. Their calamari was so delicious that I wish it has more. For main course, we ordered the Sablefish with saffron sauce, which It was divine and the Pork chop. Both of the meals were so great. Loved the flavour and the combination of the ingredients. Well, I hope you all have a great experience like I did. Cheers

This spot is fairly new and decided to try it. The ambiance was romantic but it was quite busy. The service was standard. Our party opted for the tasting menu which under the chef's recommendation. The food was good. The mussels were the star for me as I always appreciate a good prepping prior to cooking. Some dishes weren't as harmonious as I would like it to be but it wasn't bad. Some dishes were standard in taste. I think it's worth a try

Amazing appetizers and really nice ambiance. The roasted carrots needed to be cooked for longer though and the steak was little cold once it got to our table.

Lovely spot! We tried to eat at the Palestinian restaurant around the corner and found this place while we were put on the waitlist. Stood at the bar and had the loveliest cocktails, one that included Turkish delight as the garnish. Oysters and hummus were delish. Will make reservations for a table next time.

The menu seems to have shrunken since then with less options for sushi rolls and is more streamlined to basic sushi, nigiris, and rolls. My boyfriend and I walked in on a Sunday and managed to get sat at the bar seating within an hour of waiting. The restaurant is cozy and there is limited seating so reservations are probably preferred. Since we weren't super hungry, we opted to share a few items and went with staples such as the salmon oshi, bluefin tuna nigiri, and the wagyu udon noodle soup. The bluefin was amazing and melted in my mouth - a close contender considering I was not in Japan. Salmon oshi was standard - I think the sauce on top was a nice change to the usual slices of jalapeño. What really amazed me was the noodle soup. The noodles were hand made and the broth was savoury, deep, and flavourful. We both wanted to slurp every last drop of soup up because it could not be wasted! I also liked the good variety of toppings and would definitely return to have this noodle soup again. If I recall correctly, Kishimoto has always been on the higher end of the price scale but you will definitely receive what you paid for in quality, service, and deliciousness.

My boyfriend and I were in a seafood mood and ordered the following: Seafood Tower: A showstopper. Beautifully presented, overflowing with fresh oysters, chilled prawns, lobster rolls, caviche, and tuna tartar. Everything tasted fresh and ocean-sweet but the lobster rolls buns were getting wet and soggy from the plate to ice condensation - an oversight on presentation logistics. Wagyu Carpaccio: Melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The wagyu was sliced paper thin and had that rich, buttery texture you hope for. The shaved truffle garnishe added just enough flavour without overshadowing the beef. Served with a few pieces of sourdough bread, it was one of my favourites. Roasted Chicken: I know--ordering chicken at a seafood-forward spot felt risky, but it ended up being one of the surprise standouts. Perfectly roasted with crispy skin and juicy, flavorful meat. It was served with a zesty sauce and roasted vegetables and really homey and tasty. Scallops Risotto: Creamy, aromatic, and cooked to that ideal al dente bite. The scallops were seared beautifully--golden on the outside and tender inside. Service was warm and attentive, and the coastal-chic atmosphere made the whole experience feel relaxed but still special. If you're anywhere near the area, Seaside Provisions is worth a visit especially since they have a Happy Hour.

Since the host ordered everything I don't quite remember everything we got. What we had was generally good, but also I thought to myself that each item was quite small, and hard to share evenly among the 7 people there. A number of guests were disappointed the restaurant only served beer and wine, and couldn't mix drinks. Service was good enough - friendly and interactive but nothing outstanding.
