This is a small town restaurant/billiards/bar place. I am only reviewing for the bar and billiards aspect. There was a large room with lots of seating and two billiard tables as well as a counter top bar. The area is definitely a bit lacking and has seen much better days but keep in mind it's a small town where not everything will be shiny and new. I'm giving four stars based on the quick and friendly service of the staff there. We were out-of-towners visiting on vacation and they were extremely nice to us and even offered to let us play whatever music we wanted on their speaker system. If you're looking for a chill hang out spot to play some pool and grab a beer id recommend this place because there is so much open area. Quesabirrias were delicious. So were the Taquitos, enchiladas and tacos. Everything had great flavor. They made us guacamole fresh on the spot. Service was a little slow but we were in no rush and knew everything was being made fresh. read more

Great food and service! It's a nice hangout spot to go with a group of friends or larger parties. While you enjoy the food, you can have a few drinks at the bar, watch TV, and play billiards. We were in the area and looked at Yelp for dining recommendations and Self Made Billards and Taqueria had decent reviews so we decided to try it. We ordered the carne asada burrito and the super burrito which was great. It's not the best burrito I've ever had but it's a solid 4 stars. read more

Not only can you play pool, but the food here is amazing! Had a shrimp taco and shared a carne asada burrito. It's probably one of the top three burritos ever in my life. The flavors are balanced, and their salsa verde is yummy. They even give you chips for free. My go-to now for a burrito. read more

This place deserves 5 stars! Outstanding customer service by Lily and delicious food. They serve various salsa options along with chips which is complimentary! The green salsa was so good, we got multiple refills! They were able to prepare food despite sudden power outage. We had the veggie taco bowl, quesadilla & enchiladas. None of the beans or sauces contain lard , which was wonderful as we are vegetarian and don't eat any meat. Highly recommend this place! read more

I must have gotten end of night service I ordered a wet steak burrito and got a burrito that was nothing but gristle and tendon, and it was ice cold like they gave me the left overs. I thought the place would be great because of the drunk lady that was cussing out employees saying that she would be back with her sister later on that week . But it was bad like really bad the burrito in aluminum foil without a bag without cutlery without salsa or chips and remember I ordered a wet burrito with red sauce or enchilada sauce so the piece of foil told me they got my order wrong.. when I asked if this was the super burrito with red enchilada sauce, the girl confirmed saying have a good night... You going to hand me a dry foil wrapped tiny burrito and call it a "Super Wet Steak Burrito" this girl handed me a burrito that was 80 stale crunchy rice and 20 percent tendon waste and crispy fat:lard and burnt gristle meat. Whoever the cook is dude was pacing none Stop angry as hell yelling I. Spanish saying all no mamez way this and that, they didn't even cook anything guy yelled at girl she yelled at him. I just stopped by here for some quick food and let me say I am so glad that I did! They give you chips, a verde and a pico sauce. They were incredible I had to get extra for my food. I ordered 2 asada and 1 shrimp taco and my partner ordered an al pastor burrito. Both very delicious. Usually I'd snap a photo, but it was just too damn good to wait. This place is a freaking terrible place. Food is really really bad. Bad group of people hang there. Do not respect their neighbors. A real dive. Service is terrible. Always really loud noise. Don't let the exterior fool you! I have traveled much and have eaten Mexican food (literally) from coast to coast and this place has a Super burrito that would make my top 5 list. I've tried every Mexican spot in Clearlake since moving here. This place has the best super grilled chicken burritos for sure. They're also open consistently and don't have random closing days or random "credit card machine not working" signs up. My kids love the food here. Even though it's a bit pricey it's worth the consistency and taste. The staff are also friendly. read more

Nice service and people however food was not good. The asada in the burrito was super fatty everytime I stop by. I also tried the quesobirria tacos with consume this time and there was very little meat and cheese for the price and the consume was not flavorful at all tasted very diluted. read more
