ZippGo rents you a certain amount of boxes based on how many rooms/square feet you are moving, and they deliver the boxes to your address, you use them for a move, and they pick them up at the new address. It was easy to schedule and make sure the drop off and pickup worked at an appropriate time. The boxes themselves are sturdy plastic, and the top interlocks so you don't need any packing tape. The boxes fit on top of each other which makes them easy to stack and move. You can also pick box inserts that are designed for plates and glassware which made it so easy to move these items. I would recommend ZippGo in a heartbeat- it made our move faster, easier, and more eco friendly too!

The difference in packing efficiency was so noticeable compared to my last few moves using their system, that I reached out to ZippGo this morning with a last-minute request to switch over. Even though their driver was already on the road, Sarah was incredibly responsive and quickly worked out solutions to get me what I needed in record time. Sarah and her driver, Javier's, dedication to customer service was truly impressive. That said, I'd recommend planning ahead rather than making last-minute requests like I did! Note that their drivers don't work on Sundays and Mondays, so be sure to schedule your box deliveries in advance. ZippGo's reusable box system is a genuine time-saver that makes moving so much easier and more streamlined. 10/10 would recommend to anyone moving!

At move out, found out that the price increases each year were not inflationary but predatory. In the end, I was paying nearly twice their non-promotional rate. TIP: Each year, move to a slightly bigger unit. You'll save money. As almost always, the people working there are good folks, they're just slaves to corporate greed. After posting a review about their predatory business practices, was contacted by corporate goon (hi TJ!) who tried to gaslight me about paying $340 for a unit that is still $180 (non-promotional rate). Terrible business that needs regulation.

What I encountered was end-to-end excellence, from customer service to their excellent moving team. I knew our move would be a large one, so I booked a 26' truck and five-person crew. As the day of the move approached, I had lots of last-minute worries and questions and Sam, in Customer Service, answered every one and generally calmed my nerves, assuring me my move team would assist if we needed last-minute help. On the day of the move, the team arrived right on time. The foreman, Guillermo, assessed our situation and calmly confirmed my suspicious that we'd need two trucks (this my error, not OnTrack's). Before I could panic, he had contacted his team and we arranged that ours be a two day move. Guillermo's team wrapped our furniture and had the truck loaded swiftly. At the new house, we had a few of our family help direct traffic. I'd labelled every box with a color-coded room label and the team got everything to the proper room. On day two, Sammy -- part of the original crew -- acted as lead and we repeated the process. Here, a number of items still needed a bit of packing and his team had everything done in record time and -- bless them - marked the boxes for the proper room destinations without prompting. As I now unpack, I'm finding everything in excellent condition and couldn't be more grateful. We'd heard stories about moving nightmares and wanted to share a happy ending. Guillermo and Sammy were AMAZING and their crews were very hard working. Tips: my sister had a table of bottled waters, bags of chips, and other snacks ready for the team when we arrived at the new house. The team appeared grateful for the sustenance. We also tipped each person individually, in cash.

I really liked the portable closet they brought that made transporting nice clothes on hangers a breeze. The move was just a handful of miles -- from Berkeley to Oakland -- so the hope was to finish in the two hour minimum. I do not recommend Green Machine Moving Company…read more They originally quoted me $1,443 to move just a few items -- roughly 1,000 feet of flooring, a wine refrigerator, a stove and hood, and a door -- from Lafayette to Grass Valley. I paid a $200 deposit to book, and then the receiver paid $1,250 at drop-off, which I assumed was the final balance. But after the move was complete, I received an additional invoice for $490 -- a 34% increase over the original quote. That extra charge was never communicated upfront, and nowhere in the estimate did it say the price could vary. Turns out, they charged me for drive time back to their location -- after the job was finished -- which was not explained in their estimate or terms. They also showed up 30 minutes late and took 3 hours to load less than one room of items. I've worked with several moving companies, and I've never seen such a small load take so long. They brought very minimal packing supplies -- no extra blankets or proper wrapping materials -- just the bare bones. It didn't feel like the kind of care you'd expect from a professional moving crew. When I raised concerns with the owner, he brushed it off by saying I had "underestimated the job." That's not acceptable. It's the company's job to estimate accurately. I also mentioned that other companies gave similar quotes, yet stuck to them -- and he responded by saying they charge by the hour, not flat rate, even though that was not made clear in their estimate. He offered me $300 off a future move, but frankly, I don't plan to use them again. I don't feel the job was handled honestly, and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Be careful -- what you're quoted may not be what you end up paying.
