A large part of being a doctor is positively engaging with patients and all of my experiences with Dr.Waldman were frankly rude. Botox and similar neurotoxins should be only injected at approved sites and the amount should be discussed at every visit. Toxin spreads and the higher the dosage the more likely you are to suffer Botox poisoning or botolism. Ask for informed consent, ask for the black box warning read all you can about side effects. Injector skill matters BUT Botox and other neurotoxins spread regardless of who the injector is.

Entering it's very clear that they are following all mandates during the pandemic. I shared the sparse waiting area with only one other person. . chairs are at opposite sides of the room. I felt completely safe. My actual wait time was at best 10 minutes. I was called in by a friendly assistant and taken to the exam room. Within no more than 5 minutes my exam began. I saw Nelya Christiansen PA-C . She is an absolute delight. She introduced herself and went over any concerns I had. Obviously she could see all the flaws, etc but was completely non- judgemental and took the time to listen to me. There wasnt any condescending attitude from her and I felt like I was in great hands - completely comfortable I won't go into the diagnosis or treatment. But what she did today was painless... Let me state that again - PAINLESS and basically done so quickly, I didn't really have much time to think about it .. Over in no time. How cool is that! Leaving, she again reiterated what was discussed and treatment and gave me the decision on when to return - which I prefer. I will definitely refer people to her! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!

Since 2019, I've had several procedures to alleviate the pain of osteoarthritis. First, a left rotator cuff repair then, in the fall, a left knee replacement, by Dr. Scott Sigman. High praise for him and his team. I had minimal post op pain and was walking the day of surgery. Several years later I had the pleasure of bilateral hip replacements, 1 yr apart, by Dr. Stephen Designa. Again, minimal post op discomfort and, with physical therapy, return to normal with no more pain. And such tiny incisions--I can barely see them! Thank you and bless you, Dr. Designa. Now, in 2026 I'm back for more magic, seeing Dr. Howard Wu for bilateral shoulder arthritis . He is urging me to have the surgeries, first the left which is giving me the most discomfort and limited range of motion, then, after a time, the right. But, since I'm elderly and also caring for my disabled husband, I've been putting it off. He's right,of course, I need them ,and I'm not afraid but he listens to me and, I think, understands. From my experience, I felt his bedside manner could be better. I often left feeling like my injury and concerns were being minimized and that I wasn't being fully heard. My impression is that he has a very direct, surgeon-focused approach, which may work well for some patients but wasn't the best fit for me. I can't say he's a bad doctor. However, beyond providing me with time off from work, I don't feel much was done to fully evaluate all of my complaints. For example, I never received comprehensive strength testing for the various issues I reported. One thing that also concerned me was that the office seemed to use a standard template in the medical notes. Some of the statements about my care did not accurately reflect what occurred during my visits, which I found frustrating. I've also spoken with three other people who were not particularly happy with their experiences when I mentioned Dr. Alter. Of course, that's anecdotal, and it doesn't mean he isn't an excellent surgeon. This review is simply my personal experience as a patient. I will say Amanda the medical receptionist was great, every request I asked for, she promptly responded to me with the information I needed.

I was thrilled to see he was able to get 100% of my capsules out, (which can cause further health complications if they're not fully removed). Additionally, I also got a lift. After…read moresuffering in silence for several years I finally felt I had to write this review to hopefully help someone. I had an "en bloc" explant and mastopexy that Dr Chatson recommended and it was the completely wrong type of procedure to perform on me. I initially wanted to just exchange my implants and happened to mention I had been waiting to do that since I had developed other health issues, from food poisoning. Felt like I was recommended the wrong procedure for me as a patient not even looking at the individual. I was swayed into believing breast implant illness could be contributing to my IBS, and headaches by him and it was not that at all. I had food poisoning and likely peri/menopause which was causing all symptoms that I was having. Did he think or consider that? No!! I also had an MRI, no ruptures. So why "en bloc" removal recommended? My results were horrendous, I looked like I had a nipple sparing mastectomy with a crease across one entire breast that never resolved I was asked at my final follow up how much it bothered me, which I said A LOT, he said there was nothing he could do!! He was just interested in whether my symptoms resolved and of course they had not since it was never my implants!! Why would you aggressively remove implants in someone like this? With gastro problems and minor headaches? I was left with horrifically, long and unnecessary scars a crease fold across the whole breast and no breast tissue. This ordeal put me in deep depression, with shame and terrible anxiety for being sucked into this absurdity. I could not even catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror or my whole day would be ruined. I had night terrors about the surgery and an awful, painful recovery. Couldn't even have my children hug me due to ongoing nerve pain in chest area. I was given gabapentin by another doctor for the nerve pain. The care and concern was abominable. Felt like I was being experimented on. Please be careful in choosing this doctor for explant or for anything. This is a FOR PROFIT business and this doctor has gotten himself on an explant list as good at performing these procedures, this is false advertising, there are no experts in explants and it's just preying on women who are ill and vulnerable as if they are their saviors when he was initially brought BII up to me, like he was a believer in this I had never heard of it and is the one who caused me to have the idea in my head which pushed me to the horrible removal. It's all about the $$$$. He is not qualified to diagnose anyone with BII, he is a plastic surgeon. Go to more consults before removal, consult other expert physicians for symptoms, and please rethink using this doctor for anything after he's ruined at least 2 women's lives.
