I was seen her yesterday for my last wisdom tooth extraction by Dr Hornung. Amazing Staff & Experience here every time! I've been seeing them for my wisdom teeth removal for past 5yrs as I had each one extracted one at a time while awake and being someone with high anxiety and fear I was every time put at complete ease by the level of patience and genuine care from the Dr as well as all of the assistants too. I had a consultation with Dr. Kaiser before the removal of a molar. He was patient about my anxiety and explained the process clearly. Prior to the extraction a nurse named Emily was extremely comforting. She put on a video/music on of a rain forest. As I'd had a bad experience with a dentist shoving gauze down my throat, she tested out a small piece of gauze before surgery to alleviate my anxiety. She held my jaw during the surgery and her presence was calming. She inquired often if I was doing ok. The surgery itself was fairly quick and painless. The most painful thing was the novacaine, and that wasn't even that bad. It's been a few days, and all seems to be healing well. Thank you, Emily and Dr. Kaiser! read more

Great service, the staff is very friendly. I went to get my four wisdom teeth removed and it was my first surgery ever. I was a bit scared but the staff is very nice and made me feel safe. Dr. Esbah did an excellent job and was also very nice made sure that I wouldn't feel any pain during and made sure that I was comfortable. I don't know what the previous poster was thinking smoking after surgery and clearly does not know that bottom wisdom extractions are different and more painful than the top extractions. They can certainly tell when someone is not rinsing the way it should be. If you were having trouble with getting the food out, you should've called sooner. You also can't expect to feel and do the same things you did with the top extractions with the bottom ones. If you liked the first place you went to, why didn't you go there the second time? I had my wisdom teeth removal (all 4) here early January 2014 and it was great! Very nice, very fast. They explained everything to me and were also very accomdating with the scheduling. The front desk were very nice as well. I didn't have an issue with recovery and healing. I did everything they instructed me to do. When I went in to remove the stitches, it was very fast and they sent me on my way. So glad I didn't have to waste my time sitting around waiting for them to call me. Went in for an evaluation for a wisdom tooth removal . Recent heart attack so needed a evaluation because of blood thinners .. already had seen my regular dentist and he took an X-ray. . I told them at the desk that my dentist faxed over the X-ray .. the assistant came in .. few questions then proceeded to bring me to a X-ray machine .. it scans a full mouth X-ray .. I didn't need that . Had they called the referring dentist they would have got it instant .. it's email . So then they put me back in the room . Oral surgeon came in. Less than 3 minutes with me ., says get the cardiologist to sign off . I felt very uncomfortable with this place and the surgeon. . I decided to go with an out of network oral surgeon . Merrimack Oral charged me $300 . Now I go to the out of network oral surgeon a couple days later and the bill for anesthesia , evaluation and tooth extraction $320 ... they got the X-ray from the regular dentist ..what does that tell you ? The oral surgeons at the second opinion place were amazing and just did what was needed . I literally wish I could appeal this as I talked to my insurance company but what I was told they can charge what they want .. steer clear of this place .. never will I go back or recommend this place . read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! I will never be stepping foot in ANY oral surgeon after this horrific experience. Went only because of a phobia I have of dentistry and oral surgery. I was given all paperwork to sign for the agreed upon "deep sedation" had been explained the entire process, and then as I already and strapped to the chair, with oxygen pinning me to the chair, I am informed by the MD that he doesn't know enough about my neuro disorder to give me sedation, doesn't even allow me to try to get up and walk away, and proceeded to have a nurse hold my head and pull my tooth while I cried hysterically to stop, at one point I yelled and instead of stopping Mr. Keyser (who somehow has two medical degrees ), shut the door and continued. I kept trying to tell him my jaw was being pulled open too hard, and was flat out ignored. during post op "instructions" he couldn't even be bothered to look up from his cellphone to give me instruction. Absolutely traumatic experience, I wouldn't go there again if my life depended on it! THE ONLY PERSON WORTH ANYTHING NICE TO SAY WAS THE AMAZING NURSE ROXI WHO WAS SO CALMING and reassured me the whole pre op, too bad things we're de-railed at this last second. read more

I gave them 2 stars for lying to me. Lying that the pain meds would work, underestimating the pain, and not telling me stages of the healing process. So I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed here. I get pre operative not want to scare me, but post operative I didn't know and nobody told me the extreme intensity of the pain I would feel days 2 through 9 post operative. I called them then they casually say it's normal for the pain meds (that the doc gave me) not to work. It came off like "Oh yeah, those pain meds we gave you don't work" Lol Like wtf? Otherwise the front desk is decent, the Doctors are very nice. But the doctor assistants make you fill out paperwork inside the surgery site too quickly, while they are flipping through their paper work. Asking me questions (important but not the right time) while I'm trying to understand what I'm signing off on. read more

My Oral Surgeon did a great job to help save my teeth. I almost lot my 2 front teeth in an accident and thanks and to the oral surgeon they are intact and healing! The wait was a bit long but due to everything going on I totally understand and it was worth the wait. Dr Esbah was amazing. He took the time to explain everything and stated he would take my little girl right in and made the earliest appointment for her surgical visit even if he has to come in early to take care of her. My son had an emergency reason to be seen. The front desk person was very rude and not wanting to provide me with information. There front office was also rude when I called to let them know my son was in extreme pain, they were only worried about patients that had appts. It would be nice if people would actually care about their jobs and the people they are to help. Kindness goes a long way. read more

Ridiculous that I was told I couldn't drink my coffee in the waiting room due to "patients are fasting," but staff are able to drink their coffees behind the counter because "we're staff so..." Makes no sense to me, staff's drinks/food can also be seen and smelt by patients. read more

This place is terrible. Waited 45 minutes to be called in for the appt. Staff were all rude and unfriendly, there was one nice lady. My daughter is 7 and she was scared. They also told me that I could stay with her until she was asleep and right before they administered the anesthesia they made me leave. Dental surgery went ok, took a few weeks to get an appointment. They have the worst customer service that I have experienced in a very long time. Sends out bills for paid accounts when you call they never return your calls. Laurel in accounts receivable should not be in charge of a department if she cannot maintain her department properly. read more

So I have been waiting 2 months for surgery on 3 impacted wisdom teeth, one causing pain. I received a call cancelling my original appointment . Okay so stuff happens. Sat on hold to call them back for about 35 mins without someone even saying "please hold" left a message, I was finally able to schedule for the next day, because I argued that I had already got time requested off and coverage for my job. So in the mean time I started a new med, I left message for nurse to confirm if I should hold new med , no call back for 2 weeks (1 day before surgery) On the night before surgery I received a call for pre op instructions ... To find out they never processed through insurance and will call me back. With the call back, I was informed that I needed to bring over $1800 to my appointment less than 24 hr's before my surgery. I was pissed at the way this was handled, so said I would defiantly get the one done causing me pain. To top it off, I called office back an hour later for estimate on two teeth at 1pm and never receive a call back with message stating message s left before four pm would be returned. Morning of my surgery, recieved missed private call no message left. I had called office to get information I needed, and I was waiting on hold again for 25 mins with no human to ask "please hold" finally they answer my call. Told them I was extremely dissatisfied with the services. Told them I wanted two bottom wisdom's done and estimate. Get estimate go to appt , pay for service , waiting 1/2 hr more before my scheduled surgery ....for surgeron to say he is only doing one because when they called yesterday. I said "one, I was scheduled for three and ur office failed to verify insurance and estimate less than 24 hrs before my appointment and ur office failed to call me back when I left message for them " he tells me he changed allotted time, just the one. I almost lost it. Telling him I never got a call back, no one answers phone, their failure to give proper notice of non insurance coverages, when they booked my appointment and they changed it they should have had that available back in July." I was informed by him, the surgeon, my impactions we're covered by medical. Office doesn't call back, doesn't answer the phone, and properly communicate with pts. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from this office. In the future, I will be looking for another oral surgeron office for two remaining teeth. read more

I had two wisdom teeth taken out at dental dreams, no problem, was back to work the very next day. I had two wisdom teeth taken out here Wednesday and since then the pain has only gotten worse. I have hardly been able to sleep or eat since I got it done. I also have not been able to work I had to call once because they forgot to give me my doctor's note in the first place, had to wait a whole day to get a call back. Then the medicine they gave me made me very itchy. So I had to call to get that changed. The pain never got better, it has radiated into my ears and my head. My throat is also sore.I noticed my stitches had come loose and we dangling in my mouth. Yesterday I asked my husband to put a little oragel on the sores in my mouth. I can hardly open it so it took the two of us. When he looked inside he literally started to gag. I pried my mouth open and looked in it with a flashlight and saw that the stitched were indeed broken and the whole on one side was completely packed with brownish green and bloody puss as well as food despite my efforts at rinsing. I also noticed that when i pulled my cheek open the other side that is mostly closed was oozing a greenish substance that tasted horrible. When I pushed on it further puss came out. I tried to rinse and rinse and rinse but whatever was in the gaping hole would not come out. I called the dentist and told them the pain was unbearable so they set up an appointment for me to go in today. The treatment I got was completely unprofessional and rude. The doctor came in for about two minutes to take the stitches out but then left to go do something else.....!?!?! He then left the nurses to do it. So the took the one side out and when they went to do the other side said "oh this side isn't even stitched up." So stitches had broken as I suspected. Now because of this food or something had gotten lodged very deep in and I got out what i could with a q-tip but no amount of rinsing was getting it out. The nurse told me I was not rinsing my mouth very rudely. I'm sorry do you live with me????? I had been rinsing the whole time. I told her I had been rinsing but it was not getting the food out because the hole was so deep and swollen. How is this my fault because the stitches the doctor put in broke!?! Nice practice to blame your patients. She kept insisting that I had not rinsed my mouth...basically calling me a liar. She then just dropped a syringe bulb in my lap. She then told me I reeked of cigarettes.....I had one. I am aware that smoking is not good after oral surgery and my instructions recommended that I TRY not to smoke for 48 hours. I was also told that I should try not to or at least limit it. Well if I could just quite smoking at the drop of a hat wouldn't you think I would have done so already? It's not exactly that simple. Nicotine is actually the most addictive drug on the planet, thanks. When I had my top wisdom teeth out I smoked also, I made sure to rinse and I had no pain and not a single problem. The nurse told me this was basically a lie (they didn't even do the surgery) she then told me I must have had dentures!?! Seriously, clearly you didn't even look at my mouth or you would know there are no dentures, also why on earth would you get your wisdom teeth replaced with dentures!?! Stupid. They cleaned out the extraction site where the stitches had broke all the while blaming me for it because clearly I stitched it myself. The nurse then took the metal tool and bashed it along all my teeth before taking it out on purpose. Completely unprofessional. I was unable to talk about any of my symptoms or issues I was having and the doctor hardly examined anything. I tried to ask why puss was leaking out of one of the sides, but he gave me no answer and essentially ignored the question. The nurse continued to go on about how the pain was all my fault for not rinsing even though I had told her multiple times I was. The doctor have me new rx for pain medicine. She told me this was stronger medication than the one first prescribed. She also told me I had to eat with it and that I could not drive and should stay at home while on the medication. I asked what I should do about work. She refused to give me a doctors note. She said you only get one for seven days so you can't have one. I explained to her that the one written was good until Monday(I could go back) which was not seven days. She said yes it is you didn't just have the surgery. I told her I had the surgery wednesday afternoon (something they could have read from the chart) so the note got me out of work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, + Sunday. She told me that was 7 days. I explained that Thursday to Sunday was only 4 days off and since I am allowed 7 why then could I not have a doctor's note. She just told me I couldn't have one and that was that. I then noticed that they gave me the same exact RX as before even though I had called and told them I was allergic to it just a couple days ago!!! read more

He has an exceptional bedside manner and I know that my family is in excellent hands being in his care. Then, while I was in the chair, I was then told that my responsibility had gone from $100 to close to $800. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out last week by Dr. Bacos and was able to go to work the next day! I only had to take the pain medication at night time for the first night then just took some advil. I would recommend this office to anyone who wants to feel comfortable. The nurses were very comforting and knew what they were talking about for sure! My sister also had her wisdom teeth out last month sometime by one of the other doctors there and she also did great. I was Extremely Happy With The Service I got Here at Merrimack Valley Oral Surgeon!! I Looked At Many Places and Had a Couple Consultations It took me 2 Years to Find The Right Place. I met With Dr. Tarro , He was Very Knowledgeable Went over the Whole Procedure, Also Showed me My X-Ray And Explained what Was going on Inside my Mouth!! He Put My Mind At Ease !!! I Pulled the Trigger !!! I am on Day 4 Of Getting All 4 Wisdom Teeth Pulled . When I Went in for The Surgery All The Staff Made me Feel Comfortable . ( This Was My First Time Getting Put to Sleep) So I was Super Nervous about The WHOLE PROCESS. One Of The Women Held My Hand Until I feel Asleep , Very Comforting and Much Appreciated . I have been to this office a few time the past month for a surgery and two follow up. When I got to the front desk to check in the girls just sit there and don't even acknowledge me, so I say hi i am here for my appt and she replies ok sit there. The manors that girl has are awful she should not be at the front desk to great patients. Also everytime I have called in to make a appt they talked to me like I was a problem or a burden!
