    Wasabi Tuna Sandwich and BELT
    Paul S.

An uptown Korean mini-artisanal chain cafe with unique coffees, sandwiches and more with a relaxed vibe. Location: Close to Broadway, this cafe is tucked in on a side street which gives it a relaxed energy with outdoor and solid seating, there are a lot of plants. I like the seats and tables. In the summer, they sometimes leave the doors open so it can get kind of hot inside but the last visit the ac was on, thankfully. Food and Drink: There are a lot of unique options from the semicolon cafe brand which there are a few cafes in NYC and one in NJ. The drinks and food look consistent across the other cafes too. There is the pistachio bomb and pistachio lattes which are special right now. I feel like the special has been on for a while but I like these and the lady matcha. Theresa sandwiches are really where they shine because the wasabi tuna and the BLT are the best ones in my opinion. Theresa sandwiches are consistently good but sometimes the drinks and other items can change based on the staff so it is strikes and gutters but overall good. Service: Everyone is friendly. They do seems to like to stay behind the counter so the seating area is not checked on so much but I would say that is just par for the course at most NYC cafes. Overall: Very solid place with beautiful interior decor with plants, creative drinks and food, slightly erratic quality but overall I am a fan.

I came here on Friday and I must say it was great. We choose it because it is a nice place to work from and there WiFi is good. The breakfast was also very good; i ordered the chicken sandwich and a tiramisu latte which was also very good. I have come here before and it was good and I'm glad to know that is still good. The place is nice and is neat. The service is very good; the staff is very friendly and i recommend it.

Oh these sandwiches are delicious, I came here for a late lunch after my run. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and the iced tiramisu latte with almond milk. The latte didn't really taste like tiramisu, could have been the milk that changed up the flavor but it was tasty.

i would classify this as a "hidden gem" in nyc. the vibes here are immaculate with tons of people studying or doing work. the drinks here are also affordable and delicious. iced tiramisu latte : (5/5) - quite literally a tiramisu cake in latte form. it's not super milky and you can taste the coffee's rich flavor. iced lady matcha : (5/5) - a good ratio of matcha and strawberry. especially since the matcha tastes so premium, mix it well. i would definitely be back !

Still waiting long wait for 2 coffees they have good pastries and beautiful spaces with plants

I love the cafe's vibe, I didn't expect the matcha to be GOOD but it was rlly GOOD and the color of it too , since most cafe shops matcha sometimes is low quality and expensive this one's worth it !

This place is great! The coffee is amazing and so is the food. This was my first time trying a sandwich, I usually go for the small pastries already available. Now it's official, everything in the store is bomb! The ambiance here is quiet because people tend to do work on their laptops but it's comfortable and cozy for a quick talk with a friend if you would like. The area is nice, the park and water line are not too far. I highly recommend coming here if you're a coffee lover. It will not disappoint. The place itself is clean, bright, minimalistic decor. Very modern and chic. Service animals welcome!

This is one of my wife and I's absolute favorite places! The food and drinks are just amazing. It's such a cute little cafe with some really unique flavors. My all-time favorite is the Tiramisu latte. Plus, the service is fantastic! Wish there were more parking around.

1/1 Ambience; 1/2 Beverage; 1/1 Service; 1/1 Value Semicolon is a wonderful spot to catch up with friends, do some work, or just enjoy a solid cup of coffee. It is cozy with a warm, inviting, spacious atmosphere brightened by the myriad plants and big windows. There is plenty of seating that wasn't difficult to find even on a late weekend morning. On this occasion, I got the iced tiramisu latte, hoping for a unique experience in terms of specialty flavored coffees. It is a very aesthetically pleasing drink garnished with a dollop of ice cream, the chocolate wafer and shaved chocolate bits. It felt like a treat for the taste buds and certainly the eyes. But, flavor-wise, it was just good and actually lacked a robust coffee flavor, which was disappointing for a tiramisu-flavored drink. The chocolate wafer also became too soggy rapidly. Overall, however, this cafe is very charming and I am definitely going to return to try other menu items and their regular coffee fixtures! My two friends both got sandwiches with their coffees, and both were very satisfied with their food. The staff was friendly, and the prices look like a good value for the quality of food and drinks.

I was looking for a comfortable spot to study for my exam in 2 weeks. Yesterday was my first day here and I got a hot caramel latte which was a 9/10 but today i got the same drink and didn't taste as great maybe 6/10. but lemme tell you this coffee is strongggg. The place is spacious and ideal for studying. I loveeee the decor inside- very welcoming and calm. Gets pretty busy around 9-10 am and 12 pm on weekdays but even then still space to sit. The workers are also friendly. The only thing is that the music they had playing was a little loud- gave me a headache and I could hear through noise cancellation. Also they turn off the ac for a while so it gets humid (I have asthma and had to step out!!). Overall love this spot to stop by. Will come here to catch up with friends!

Lived by here for a year and came here once a week. Their food and drinks are always so solid. Their tiramisu latte is so good, light, and sweet. Their sandwiches are super cute and super tasty. I havent had anything here that I didnt like and the price point is not too bad as well. Their baked goods are also pretty tasty.

Amazing cafe for studying and hanging out They have ample work space and good WiFi. There are plugs by some of the chairs to charge. I loved studying here for a while. The coffees were expensive but delicious! Great flavors and ready quickly. I will be back

Came back for coffee with friends & the we enjoyed it. Coffee was perfect for my taste. smooth & creamy. The pastries we tried was so so. They have outdoor seating which is perfect for the warmer months. planning to come back when we are in the area.

Yes, a kale salad and a guava waffle. Stay with me. The salad is fresh, savory, and hearty, especially with the grilled chicken. Then comes the waffle--warm, slightly sweet, and topped with guava rum butter that melts into every little pocket. Oh my goodness. Taking a bite of the savory chicken and kale, followed by that soft guava waffle, gives me the perfect sweet-and-savory meal. It should not work as beautifully as it does, but it absolutely does. And the brown sugar latte? Always. It's smooth, comforting, and sweet without tasting like someone poured syrup into a cup and called it coffee. The space has the easy, unhurried feeling of a neighborhood coffee shop, but the menu is giving a real brunch experience. It's cozy and beautifully lit during the day--the kind of place where you can settle in and enjoy yourself without feeling rushed. The service matches that energy. Everyone is attentive, kind, and genuinely knows the menu. They always greet you with a smile and give you exactly the right amount of small talk: enough to make you feel welcomed, never so much that it interrupts your peace. The atmosphere, the people, and that guava rum butter keeps me coming back.

Make your own if you're not feeling theirs. It's worth it. Also writing this review because they are just quality people. I ordered a vegan pizza with some toppings but wanted pepperoni and that wasn't an option. I made a note asking if a substitution was possible, knowing it likely wasn't because of a price difference. I'm not vegan, but I needed a dairy-free alternative since I am breastfeeding a baby with a cow milk protein intolerance. The LOADED up my pizza. Truly stand-up humans. The food is fresh (unlike some 'bakeries' everything here is baked on the premises), so there's always something delicious to try: scones, special breads (their pumpkin bread is incredible in Autumn), cakes or pies--the pies in particular often need to be specially ordered, but it's worth it--they're my favorite in the city! (Plus the bakery's owners opened the charming Fountain Bookshop just down the block, which also serves amazing ice cream.) The service is just as nice as the baked goods: staff are approachable, friendly, hardworking and kind-- even when its very busy, they never seem stiff or shut down w/overwork like staff at chain/corporate-owned restaurants can be (they also seem to appreciate a genuine thank you from customers). I've never received or even witnessed poor service there. While the baked goods are the main draw, the cafe has a full menu and the space itself is warm & open: a smaller dining area tucked on one side, a large space in the center filled with tables, and a generous bank of stools at the large glass storefront for work or study, plus a few self-service tables on the sidewalk. Dutch Baby is a space clearly beloved by its neighbors--while popular with families and childcare workers w/their charges after school, it never gets too raucous. There's floor space for both wheelchairs and strollers (while the main entry has a few shallow steps, a second door in the middle of the cafe provides accessible entry for those using wheelchairs). It's really a truly lovely spot!

So I asked to see the bottle to do some research, and the lady could NOT wait for me to give it back and was hovering her hand above the bottle. Both gentleman and lady cashiers both had attitudes. Not a good vibe, and gentleman was rude. Will likely not be coming back ANY time soon. Went in to return a drink we purchased, and the same guy gave me an attitude upon returning it. Also, the Rum & Root Beer float was curdling and looked horrendous.
