This is a cute cafe that also sells cute trinkets. I enjoy coming here before work. The baristas are super nice and I enjoy their coffee! Highly recommend. It gets a lot of foot traffic so at certain times it is definitely pick up and go! Other times you can sit at the cozy circle tables (3)

Such good quality coffee here! Tried their famous dirty chai in iced and hot and both were incredible ! My co worker told me about this coffee shop near our hospital and I'm so glad she did because it's so delicious worth the price and reasonably priced too ! Next I want to try there matcha which I hear is good as well just most days for those long work days espresso is a must ! Tried two of their pastries last time I tried this baked cinnamon croissant kind of pastry which was so good! 10/10 was like a cinnamon bun and croissant had a baby just so good. Today I tried their cheddar chive biscuit man 10/10 that was so well made and flavorful ! Service is great the baristas are kind and fast ! Definitely glad there a good coffee shop near the hospital

Great music, great coffee, great vibes. Indoor has two tables that seat two people each, and a bench that could sit another two people.

This is such a cute little gem near the Columbia hospitals. I came here with a couple of friends to get some coffee, and we loved it! The server was so fun and kind, we had a great time chatting with him. The decor is really funky and cute as well. They also have little earrings and other items for sale. We got london fogs and a lavender latte. I was so happy that the london fog was made perfectly! It had been a while since I had one that was made right. We liked the place so much that we came back the next day! Check this place out if you're around the area.

I'm a sucker for hot new businesses, and the Plug definitely qualifies as one of them. A coffee shop with a daily rotation of pastries and smoking supplies - definitely not something you hear of often. I haven't had the honor to check out this establishment in person yet as my love for this place started through Seamless. The coffee is strong, consistent, and flavorful. Their drip coffee is as delicious as their lattes. I've tried their almond croissant and apple turnover so far and they are both amazing! I believe they get their pastries delivered from another bakery but the freshness is real! I don't smoke so I can't comment on their "tobacco" supplies, but they market them as environmentally-friendly and organically made. TLDR: I'm a fan. Check this place out.

I already know I'm gonna be a regular here. For starters, their coffee is a solid 5 out of 5. So far, we've had a macchiatto, a latte, an espresso, and a café con leche and each one was perfect. The barista is friendly and the vibe is chill! The decor is simple - a few wall hangings and one wall of exposed brick. There's seating planned for the future, which I'm excited for! But in the meantime, for those looking for excellent coffee on the go, look no further than The Plug. They also have a small selection of pastries including doughnuts and croissants and a cookie shaped like a bear which they've cleverly named "Ted". I've yet to try Ted but their vanilla doughnut (vanilla creme filling) was delicious. If you are from the area, you should pick up a loyalty card because after 10 drinks, the next one is free! Make this your next go-to coffee place because weird things happen at Starbucks and you'll get better coffee here!

Easily my favorite coffee in the entire city! I have yet to try something that is subpar, everything they offer is so good! It's a one stop shop for all your needs with an assortment of trinkets, jewelry, and even clothes, and the pastries are amazing as well. They also have a rotating gallery wall that features local artists! The Plug is truly for the people, by the people. Way better than that st*rbucks on 168th!!

But I had a craving one morning for some sugar and 'Dough' was on my way. I walked in and realized one of their donuts was going to at least spread out for over 2 days for me. The flavors looked so delicious. I decided to go for 'Toasted Coconut'. Amazing nutmeg-y finish and I have to say I love the yeastiness of the donut - did not feel like straight up sugar, but felt like a complex cake/bread - the sourness did come through. The donut has body and texture. My donut world has changed from now on. If I encounter donut people, I will definitely recommend this place. It's when your egg-free brownies turn into a bubbling liquid mess the night before the office party and you don't have enough ingredients (or the will) to try again. The fact that they are open late is a godsend. Though the operation only looks like an oversized kiosk, they have quite a large selection. I was able to online order 2 dozen doughnuts no problem and still be spoiled for choice. The Tres Leches was the biggest hit. There were no leftovers to take back home despite my wishing there were. If it wasn't for my co-worker's egg allergy I would have never thought to come to this location. This spot is one of the more well-known doughnut shops in the city, and after trying it, it's easy to see why. We ordered the Hazelnut doughnut and the Pistachio doughnut, and both were excellent. The Hazelnut doughnut had a rich chocolate flavor with crunchy hazelnut pieces on top that added the perfect texture. The Pistachio doughnut was lighter and had a great balance of sweetness with a nice pistachio flavor throughout. Both doughnuts were soft, fresh, and packed with flavor without being overly heavy. The location inside Grand Central gives it a really cool NYC vibe as well. It's the perfect stop to grab a coffee and doughnut while exploring the city or waiting for a train. Between the quality of the doughnuts and the atmosphere of Grand Central Station, this ended up being one of the best dessert stops from the trip.
