This is my second year on solar and it was one of the best investments I have ever made in my life. I am very grateful to my consultant Raedene Solano who took the time to explain every step of the process to me, and still checks on me each year on the install anniversary date. I would heartfelt recommend her to anyone ready to move forward with solar. Meeting Raedene was by chance, I had considered solar for many years, and as I reviewed the exhausting list of solar installers the convoluted process seemed endless. When I first started looking for solar contractors online in early 2019, I had the basics in order to get comprehensive quotes for competitive pricing. At least that's what I thought, there are at least two dozen different solar panel manufacturers and each panel has different wattage. The quotes were not making any sense --- some companies stated I needed 22 panels, some stated 10 and the prices where drastically different. After my seventh solar consultant I felt defeated, it was by chance that an ad on Facebook and same day appointment made it all possible. Raedene arrived on time to our appointment, she answered my questions, debunked common solar myths and explained all terms and warranties. Fantastic company. Ron Schaefer, our sales rep was truly amazing. Informative and a very nice man. He never pushed us just to get the sale. He just gave us the facts on solar for us and let us decide if it was for us. Great salesman. Best sales experience we have ever had for anything we have ever purchased. During the next 3 weeks we were contacted by the Semper Solaris team by phone and email to let us know what the next steps that were coming up. We never had to guess what was going on at any point. It only took 3 weeks to get the permits and start installing the panels. Installation took 2 days and the installation crew, Tyler, Jesus and one other, forgot his name, sorry, were extremely professional. They were on time for the 1st day of installation. They were careful to not disturb plants, flowers and landscaping around our house during their work. Everything was cleaned up after the installation. Nothing left for us to clean up. It was very nice that they did their best to make the electrical piping as hidden as possible on the roof and the house walls. They painted all piping to blend in very well with the existing house paint. The panels look fantastic on our roof. Next, we just needed to get our PTO from Edison to operate. Surprise, surprise. It only took one week to begin operation. Other neighbors around us took as long as 5 weeks to get their PTO. We are up and running. We are so happy with this company. The representative I worked with was absolutely wonderful!  Her name is Raedene Solano.  She was very pleasant during our in-home meeting.  She seemed extremely knowledgable and was very organized.  She patiently explained everything to me.  I had to email her several times, and she always replied very quickly.  Once, very late on a Friday evening, I emailed her to ask a question.  I was hoping that she would ignore it until she was back at work.  But, no, she wrote back very quickly.  She impressed me with her intelligence, her organization in her presentation, and most important to me, she appeared to be an honest person who cared about the people she worked with. Now, on to the group of guys that installed the panels.  I did not interact with them very much.  But, when I did, each one of them was respectful and friendly.  They, too, seemed very knowledgable about the whole process.  I really appreciate all of the work they did. My only concern...Oh now you're thinking, "Uh oh, here it comes."  My only concern is with my own lack of interest in learning how to work with the app. Rae has offered to help me more than once, but I just (I sigh here) I just don't want to.  I know I need to learn about it (I even downloaded the app), but I just don't want to.  I promised Rae that I would contact her if I need help with it. Hello, I'm new to Bakersfield. I moved here 2 years ago from Los Angeles, and my place needed a new roof and HVAC system. I also needed a Solar & Storage system. Well, I figured it out and started the process with Robert at Semper Solaris. I have (9) squares of flat roof and (5) squares for the sloped portion. I discovered that the flat section of my roof wasn't draining properly so I decided to have the company build a taper system for my new IB PVC roof. I also chose their Owens Corning, Duration Cool product for the sloped portion, and voila! It came out perfect! While in the permitting process for my Solar & Storage system, we were ready to install my new 5 Ton, 16 SEER, all-electric package unit. To reduce exposure to common bacteria & viruses and to protect against allergies & asthma, I made sure we added the MicroPure MX4 Air Scrubber and AprilAire 5000 Air Filter. I also added the ECOBEE digital thermostat. ALL HIGHLY RECOMMENDED add ons! Next up, (25) 360W Panasonic Evervolt panels with SolarEdge inverters! I also installed (2) Tesla Powerwall batteries. Why? I bit the bullet to be as legally off the grid as possible! My main motivation for my (2) batteries was to transform my house into a "Self-Powered Home! This made it easier to put together the perfect package of equipment needed in solar panels with a Powerwall to cover our needs for today's usage and any possible future increase. Robert went out of his way to answer any difficult technical document language or any questions we had; even if this was late at night, either via text, a regular phone call, or email. Semper Solaris installed my solar in 2018 before my husband died. Now I live hear by myself and if the power goes out not only do I not know how to hook up a generator, I don't even know where it is! Even if i did know I would have to be putting gas and I can barely walk. I called Semper Solaris and told them what can they do for me. They sent this nice young lady. Her name is Raedene Solano. Everyone calls her Rae like on Star Wars and she was wonderful in explaining how all this stuff works and she taught me about the Tesla Powerwall battery. The guys that put it in were courteous and did a nice job. Everyone was asking why I was getting these things and did i really need to spend money on that! I signed my solar contact in mid May and it's Sept. I still don't have the final inspection done yet. I made my first payment and I don't have solar. How does that make any sense. The employees in Bakersfield just Suck. Sorry but that's the truth. They Never return an email, never get back to you. They don't care "Julio Lopez, Joseph Lee & Moses. You all should be fired. Thank you Semper Solaris for making the switch to solar so quickly. It was the lowest price of all the solar companies that I researched. I signed the contract March 21 and the system was up and running by April 26. A few bumps along the way: The solar panel installation took 2 days because of the rain, and the building inspection didn't pass the first time. Otherwise, the whole process might finish 1 week earlier. There were detailed e-mails sent frequently along the way to explain the current situation and follow-up plans. And my e-mail questions were promptly answered in the same day. It is gratifying to see the PG&E meter reading negative. I can't wait when the summer comes to turn on the A/C full blast and not worry about the electricity bill. read more

I was in the market for a new roof and solar system when I saw a Semper Solaris TV commercial and decided to give them a call. I have had a 11 kW solar system with 2 Powerwalls 3. Adding a 3rd Powerwalls 3 expansion pack was a charm with Semper Solaris. Senior Energy Raedene Solano was able to take care of our NEM 3 issues quickly. Our communication was stellar, she was very informative and she was able to answer all my questions. Summer Season June 1, 2025- Sept 30, 2025. We can say goodbye to our true-up bill with PG&E down to $0 or worse just a few dollars per year. We had Semper Solaris install our Power Wall and were very pleased with the service. The men who installed it were courteous, careful and thorough. It took a few weeks for the inspection, but we were particularly thankful for Edward Martinez who came from the Bakersfield office to oversee that part of the process. He was very helpful in making sure everything was ready for the inspection, which passed with no problem. He then did a power check to be sure that the battery was working properly and helped to be sure we knew how to use the app. Hats off to Edward and the rest of the team. read more
