This time, a warm and welcoming young lady was running things. I arrived around 5 p.m., only to find that most items were already sold out -- a testament to how popular these desserts have become. Luckily, I managed to grab a blue velvet cheesecake, and it did not disappoint. Smooth, decadent, and perfectly balanced, it was worth the trip even with the limited selection. Wanting to experience more, I visited the brick-and-mortar location in Columbia off Two Notch Road this past Saturday. The desserts were just as delicious -- the quality and flavor remain consistent no matter the location. However, the customer service didn't match the charm of the food truck experience. While the cakes are still absolutely worth indulging in, the food truck brings something extra -- better hospitality, more personality, and a community feel that makes the experience sweeter. With prices being the same at both locations, I'll gladly return to the Orangeburg truck... just earlier next time, when the selection is still full.
