I purchased a variety of goodies and they are fun of flavor. The sugar/butter cookie sandwich was good. I want to order them but the dozen. The party fours are just as yummy but not as sweet so If you want less that's a good option. My only complaint is their limited hours and it's a little hard to find. Absolutely love silver spoon! I was getting an event catered and wanted to support a local business and came across silver spoon. My friend and I went over one afternoon to try out some options and pick what we wandered catered - the girls who work there were so sweet and extremely helpful. They put so much care into what they do - the petite fours we got were decorated with the most beautiful hand-iced flowers. From both uniquely and classically drink options to an array of delectable goodies, any choice that you make at Silver Spoon is guaranteed to be a good one! I always go for the Honey Vanilla Latte (honey lovers rejoice!), and have tried the Hummingbird Bar, Oatmeal Cream Pie (a little mini treat), and the beloved Sugar Cookie with Cream Cheese Icing! The sugar cookie is soft and chewy with the tart icing that balances everything out. The Hummingbird Bar is unique with a buttery base and delicious, chewy topping. The oatmeal cream pie is reminiscent of the old childhood favorite. The staff is also very friendly and are helpful when trying to decide between all the great options! There is also a small sitting area to enjoy your coffee and treat. I recommend taking an assortment of treats with you and trying little bits of each every day! Popped into this cute place this morning. I only planned to get a croissant or 2 and when I got there and they didn't have them, my inner fat kid came out. So, I got a sampling of other items! Chocolate chip cookie- YUM. Perfect combination of crunchy and chewy and the chocolate must have been shaved in large pieces, the layering of the chocolate in the cookie was something I'd never seen before. Oatmeal Raisin Cookie- solid job. It was good. Planned to only eat half. Ha! Sugar Cookie- if if hadn't been for the cream cheese frosting on top I probably wouldn't have gotten this. Really this was the only disappointing thing. The sugar cookie, like so many really lacked flavor. It was super thick and dense, and hard. I did have 1 chewy bite. The frosting was good. Makes me wish I'd gone for the Red Velvet Cake instead. Peanut Butter Cookie- thick, crunchy on the outside chewy on the inside. Would buy this one again. Cheddar Bacon Biscuit- good biscuits are hard to find. This was a GOOD biscuit. Loaded to the gills with bacon and cheese, great rise and shape. Well I can't believe that I haven't yet reviewed this spot as of yet. This is a great bake shop located on Devine st. with limited parking, but there is always plenty of spaces nearby on the street in front of the business. The people working here always have a smile on their faces ready to dish out the wonderful treats that you need for your sweet tooth. Any items that me or my wife have tried were great. You may opt for the salted Carmel brownie or if you come early they have assorted ham cheese scones or with bacon, the varieties change from time to time to keep it fresh. My first trip to Silver Spoon was for Harry Potter's birthday celebration. The place was super busy but everyone was friendly. The space was decorated beautifully and creatively. I order a cupcake, macaron, and a pumpkin fluff pastry thing. That's totally the technical term. The PFPT was super delicious. Sweet but not too sweet, light but satisfying. I would 100% get this again. The cupcake was also delicious and moist and the icing was tasty. I'm always hit or miss on macarons and this one was kind of a miss for me. I can't wait to go back and try another delicious treat the next time I have a sweet craving. This time hopefully there will be room for me to have a seat and stay awhile. read more

This is an adorable bakery. Very inviting on one of the most charming streets in town (Devine Street). I bought a vanilla petit four and two funfetti cupcakes. I'll definitely come back when I have more time to hang out and have some coffee. It's such a charming place. The cupcakes were very good, the frosting was sweet but not too sweet, and the sprinkles were sparkly and adorable. The cake was a little dense and almost muffin-like, but it was very good and moist. Funfetti is my favorite, but everything else looked so good I can't wait to try them all. I am excited to ask them to custom make the next special cake I need! Went to Silver Spoon Bake Shop after a Wurst Wagen lunch today! Ordered several brownies to take home. Sent them home with my spouse while I went back to work. Returned home to less than half of the original four! The taste trumps the generous portion size because it is amazing. One of anything is enough to more than satisfy a sweet tooth craving. But go ahead and get another for that late night hunger. You will be glad that you did! From the sugar cookies and muffins to the petit four's and chocolate chunk cookies...it's just amazing. The shop is super immaculate and offers an incredible selection of coffee and tea! Before I go into the baked goods, I feel like I should mention the mention the coffee. I tend to lean towards espresso based drinks, and they nail it every time. Even the espresso machine is from Italy. They may actually be the only place in Columbia that knows how to make a proper macchiato. I now stop by every morning on my way to work for coffee. On the baked goods side of the house, I have not had anything that has made me unhappy. Almost all of it is perfect. Also, croissants on Friday! Lastly during the floods in October, when I called to see when they would be open again, Erin (the owner/baker) decided to donate 2 bags of coffee, 300 chocolate chip cookies, and 300 pimento cheese biscuits for me to take to my co-workers at McEntire airbase. So if you're looking an amazing bakery and someone who cares about the community you should probably check this place out. read more

This is a delightful bakery run by a young native South Carolinian. Croissants are really good, but I come for the cakes and cookies. Caramel Cake, Hummingbird Cake, even good old Pound Cake are exceptionally well crafted, dense and shortcut-free. There is a lovely seating area inside and on the porch and one of the cooler chandeliers that I've seen around town adorned with...spoons! Well worth a visit and a refreshing change from the mass produced drivel we've become accustomed to these days. The large biscuits are the epitome of Southern decadence. While eating the Black Pepper & Pimiento Cheese Biscuit I got today, I couldn't help but think how badly I wanted to pair it with the Cheddar Cheese & Bacon Biscuit I had last week, and either smother both in sausage gravy, or use them to sandwich sausage, egg, and cheese. The Silver Spoon has bakery goodies with a definite homemade taste. It's hard to recommend one thing but the blueberry muffins do melt in your mouth. They are huge so the $3.50 price can be justified by cutting it in two to enjoy with a friend. The mini-cupcakes snap with flavor and have dollops with icing as high as the cup cake.
