I wanna start by saying I love the apartment and complex that I live in. The apartments are big and very nice inside and the community. It is nice to It is a really nice place to live and the people in the rental office are very friendly. but when it comes to maintenance, it isn't the best. They are very slow. For example.So I put a ticket in on Aug 8. To get my dishwasher fixed here, it is september 3, and my dishwasher still has not been fixed. The maintenance man that came to look at it said he would put a dishwasher in on the 26 and has not been back since I have not heard from him. . So if something breaks in your house, you're better off trying to fix it yourself. Because if not, you're going to wait forever for maintenance read more

Have lived here three years The maintenance supervisor and techs are awesome. During the current heat spell, maintenance still came out THE SAME DAY I PLACED A WORK ORDER to fix a kitchen light and check my AC. They are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Like a big family. If I could give this place zero or negative stars I would. Maintenance does the bare minimum for every request and management is here simply to collect rent and does not care about their residents. Since moving about 3 years ago I have had a cat live in my ceiling, bathroom ceiling leaks every 1-3 months for seemingly new and ever creative reasons, and now mice. We have been battling them for 18 months now. Management has done NOTHING, in fact they canceled our appointment with their contracted Orion rep two weeks ago without contacting us!! Their actions are violating the lease agreement we signed. DO NOT LIVE HERE!! Hey Kim B, no one has contacted me. Management is decent. Some staff members are very friendly and smile upon greeting you, others approach you with a nonchalant look. Maintenance is ok, but I have an issue with my dry wall and mold that has been ongoing this will be month two that I have been complaining about it. I may have to ask for another unit seeing as I do have a 5 year old with asthma, if this issue isn't resolved soon. The pool and playground is very nice. The fitness room would be nice if half the equipment worked. I used the weights last week since nothing else worked. Neighbors are ok. Seneca Bay is one of the best communities in the area. The property is well taken care of & the office team is outstanding! Work orders are dealt with in a timely manner & the entire team knows all of there residents by first name! My rent is no more than $900 a month but they treat you like your paying $3000 a month to live there, that's how exceptional the service is! I'm honestly so grateful to call this place home. I tell all my friends that it feels like I'm on vacation 24/7!! If your looking for a "luxurious" apartment community that's also budget friendly then Seneca Bay is the place for you. read more

Stay away from Seneca Bay! You have been warned. We have lived there for 3 years and from the start is was bad. The first moth we were there, the plaster from our dry wall starting peeling off. I have reported it numerous times to maintenance but 3 years later, it has not been fixed. Maintenance was ALWAYS slow fixing things, not fix them correctly or not fix them at all. Also we moved right before summer hit so we did know that the HVAC unit did not work. Most days during the summer with the AC running all day, it would be between 85-90 degrees in the apartment! After complaining every summer, almost on a daily basis, our HVAC was finally replaced 2 years later. Our BGE bills for the months between June-September were $250+ when every other time, they ranged between $50-$75. I still believe Seneca needs to reimburse us the difference for a having a non working HVAC. Also the leasing office is a joke. EVERY TIME you call, no ones ever pick us. Angela, the Property manager was the only one in the leasing office that would actually help when I had an issue. The laundry room situation were another nightmare. Machines would breakdown on a weekly basis and the laundry room were always dirty. Tenants would leave there clothes in the washer/dryers all day and when i would complaint, nothing would be done about it. I had to use the laundry mat a lot. Also the neighborhood is the not the best. It constantly smells like weed. While we lived there, in our building alone, we have 3 sets of druggies that lived there at separate times and one died in one of the apartment below us from an OD. And what they charge for rent is ridiculous! They charge fees for everything. They hike your rent up every year. Plus to to mentioned the rent is way over priced for the area and frankly for that apartment complex. There are nicer apartment complex's in the area that is more affordable and I feel would have been a better fit for us. I wish I would of done a little more research before signing a lease at Seneca Bay. If I knew then what i know now, we would have never moved into Seneca Bay! read more

Terrible place to live. The laundry facilities (that we were assured we'd have full access to) are actually two washing machines and two dryers shared between roughly 12 apartments, and they rarely work. At the time of this post, our "assigned" laundry room has had consistent issues for 34 days after our original request for repairs was placed. The plumbing is a nightmare. Toilets don't flush properly every third time you use them, and the water gets shut off about once every other week (if not more). Simple appliances, such as blinds, cabinets, and shower heads are cheap and fall apart easily. Management is polite, but inconsistent. One person will tell you one thing, another person will tell you something completely different. There seems to be little communication in the management office. Trust me, if you're looking at the complex, walk around the actual buildings, not the places they take you to on a tour. The management office is much nicer than any place you will actually end up living. read more

My family and i lived at this apartment complex for over five years. It started out decent enough, but by the end of our experience, it was unlivable. We had a neighbor who was complained about multiple times to management, and NOTHING was done about it. We received a placating email, and they told them that someone had to leave the premises, but they never did, and there was no followup. It did not feel like a safe place for our family, so we decided to actually buy out of our lease just to get away from this place. The neighbor was one thing, we did not feel safe at our own home with children, but they also nickle and dime here. The water bill got up to $70 dollars a month which was RIDICULOUS. The company basically takes everyone units water usage, and they divide it among all of the units. So you could be conserving water, and trying to use the least amount possible, and you would still get hit with a ridiculous bill. Just be wary when choosing this place to call home. I know that there are problems everywhere basically, but this place got really bad. There were dumb people who sped through the complex, without care or concern for children. The one neighbor was constantly panhandling for money outside of the apartment complex to the point that we never left for fear of running into this person. They also got to the point where they were constantly knocking on our door asking for things, and the office did nothing. They will say that they did, and they did call and tell the person to leave, but they never did, and the office never followed up on the complaints. The only good thing at this apartment complex were the staff members. Most of the maintenance men were wonderful and friendly, and most of the staff in the office were friendly. They did their best, but toward the end things were getting annoying. We also had a terrible mice problem. The Orkin men who came in did very little to help. The only mice that we ended up catching were on the mouse traps that we purchased ourselves. It got to the point where I stopped calling because it was not making a difference. When we were moving out, most of the carpet around the floor molding had been chewed out because of the mice. It just got to the point were it was unlivable, and they wanted to blame all of it on us, which was ridiculous. Oh and if you are trying to call the office, most of the time they wont pick up, you are better off walking over there. There were some positives, but overall our experience was severely negative. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and all of our family members and friends who have been here for us through this experience are so happy that we are out and away from this place. read more

Seneca Bay does not value the safety of their residents. I have been a resident for 2 years and a few months ago a new tenant moved into my building. Seneca bays management took no action when my tenant continued to harass me continuously since February. I've called the police several times on this tenant. A leasing agent has even witnessed the tenant attempting to attack me but no action was taken. Finally the tenant followed me from home and had me banked by several people, black eyes and broken nose during my second trimester of pregnancy. After providing management with police reports, protective orders and pictures of my injuriesI received NO RESPONSE FOR 5 days. I reported an incident of being threatened by an associate of the tenant with a gun at my apartment Directly after the attack, but still I was told it was nothing they Were obligated to do. The person continues to harass me til this very day. All I've asked is for my lease which ends on June 30th to end immediately so that my two toddlers and I can leave and avoid any further danger or trauma. The management fails to provide information to the corporate office so that I may escalate the matter! Management continues to ignore me and show the ultimate Lack of empathy and concern! Do Not Move your family especially if you have children to a community where the management could care less about the tenants safety! read more

Safe place to live, nice office staff. Only complaints I have on this property is that your water bill isnt your usage its the buildings. On average you will get charged $50 a month for water for a ONE BEDROOM! Lastly when you move out they will charge you for the dumbest shit, I got charged $160 for where my couch and TV stand sat; that's NORMAL ware on a carpet when something sits in the same place for 10 months of course there is going to be a spot showing it was there! read more

My kids and I have lived here since march of 2016, we have been pleased with it here. There were a few issues with my air conditioning in August and the maintenance workers came here multiple times to check on the equipment and fix the problem. Lindsey in the office has been very welcoming since day one when we signed our lease, anytime we go into the office my children are each greeted by each person working and made to feel welcome along with me. Just signed a lease for another 14 months and am moving to an upgrade apartment in May. I would definitely recommend people to move to Seneca. read more
