All our food arrived smashed because they packaged heavy items on top of light items. Sauced spilled outside of the dish onto the other items. If you order over five different entrées that are different they need to be labeled. I put in request to have them labeled. Nothing was labeled so I had to cut into peoples food to figure out what was ordered. Horrible service. this was a missed opportunity on their behalf because this was a trial to see if we were used them for catering service. Absolutely not. If this is how you treat regular gas ordering to go. I can only imagine how bad your catering services are. read more

I like the atmosphere of this restaurant. It had nice photo ops. The drinks are ok. The service is friendly, but it took a long time. The food looked delicious, but was pretty bland. Not bartender's fault but I had to lower tip because of it. They had two surprise charges on there. Got to read the fine print in this place! Wouldn't go back simply due to lost trust. They say another $0.99 for adding another protein but then add another $1 on top of that because one is steak. And then they surprisingly charge $1 extra for each imported beer you drink. In town to help out my childhood friend with some health issue and needed some Mexican. Senior Iguanas was close and open!!! The Chips were good but the Salsa was too spicy for me. So the next best thing was to get some Queso Dip!!! Much better!! My Iguana Tea was yummy and strong and the Traditional Margaritas were good too!!! I had the Make your own Combo!! One has to wonder how Senor Iguanas stays open. We walked into a ghost town at 11:45. Servers were standing around like lost soles. We had a similar experience a few months back. But the food was good, so we decided it was time for another visit. As before, service was excellent and the salmon tacos were outstanding This time I went with chicken fajitas instead of steak. The lunch portion is substantial, but the chicken was a bit dry, and the accompanying black beans were served ice cold. My wife's beans were also served cold. BTW, Senor Iguana makes an excellent salsa. And by the time we fished our lunch diners were seated at another 3 tables. read more

It's been a long time since we've eaten here. My wife, one grandson and me for lunch. My wife had the lunch chicken fajitas ($10.99). It was a large serving and she really enjoyed the Fajita. Grandson had the Pick 2 ($11.99) containing a tamale and a burrito with rice and beans. It was a huge plate of food. He couldn't even eat it all which shocked me. Normally he has no problem cleaning his plate! I had the Tuesday Lunch Special Nacho Grande ($8). Yes a very nice plate of Nacho's for $8. I got to choose two meats which I picked carnitas and chorizo. I thought the carnitas was extremely over cooked and dry. But, I'm the kind of guy for $8 I'm not really complaining. I walked in there on a Friday night. As I made my way inside, I was greeted by the hostess. She sat me and I was immediately provided chips and salsa. I put in my order and it came out in less than 10 minutes. So, I will say, that if you need to come in and have a quick meal and fast reliable service. Sr. Iguana definitely will deliver. Anjelica was again our perfect server for party of 7. She is always smiling, friendly and attentive. I am so happy to have a server who keeps our glasses filled so we don't have to suck ice cubes. Anjelica is one of the Best servers I ever had ANY where. Our fellow diners agreed with my wife and I that everything was GOOOOD. The chips and salsa are one of the better ones compared to other Mexican restaurants. Wifey and I had Chimichanga dinners, hers Carnitas and mine chicken. She said her carnitas were flavorful, but she didn't care for the little bit of fat that was included. I think that would be a normal thing with carnitas. My chicken was fine and all the sides that come with it were fresh and tasty. I don't recall what the other guests had, but none of them had chimichangas. There were 3 fried ice cream desserts ordered and from the looks of it they were well received. Our party was there for a 16 year birthday and stayed longer than it took to eat, but no worries from the restaurant. we were in the outer dining area with no other diners present. After a little home project, my friend and I discovered that our usual Mexican food place was closed. So we decided to try Senor Iguanas.  There is a sunroom through the first door of the building and we proceeded through the second set of doors. The restaurant has a bright décor, filled with booths and tables.  We both ordered a drink - my friend ordered a strawberry daquiri and I ordered a house margarita. The daquiri was divine - it tasted more like a strawberry milkshake rather than an alcoholic drink. It was tasty. The house margarita on the other hand, I could barely get through. Think a lime green popsicle meets well tequila.  Definitely used a mix, definitely very not good. The color was almost fluorescent in color.   Appetizers - the chips and salsa were delish. We actually ordered queso which was really good too. All the food had a lot of spice to it, but not over the top. We really enjoyed the queso and the salsa! Yum Entrees - my friend ordered an a la cart item; chicken and cheese quesadilla and I ordered fajitas.  Friend says the chicken was over-seasoned, almost too spicy. I tried it. I thought it tasted like a frozen dinner chicken. The fajitas....they needed seasoning. I loved the mix of green and red peppers, I didn't love the lack of seasoning. I visited this resturant on a Saturday night. They sat us in the back which was not an issue, but our service suffered because of it. It took a while to be visited by a waitress and there was a delay in getting us chips and salsa. I ordered the fijitas with chicken. The main fijitas were fine, but the dish was the sides is where I ran into issues. I ordered double beans instead of any rice and there was also pico, lettuce, and sour cream. It appears they did not drain something because there was a lot of water on the plate. It got quite frustrating because it was affecting the beans and making them watery. I was dissatisfied with the puddle on my plate. The resturant was decorated quite nice for the holidays which was nice to look at on the way to the table, but as I said, we were in thw back and didnt have any decorations. read more

When we arrived the parking lot was almost empty. Making us think that it might be closed. But, we hit it just right because by the time we left the parking lot was filling up nicely. My question to any and all Mexican restaurants, is very simple. Is this all Mexico has to offer? While the menu here had less to offer it was the same basic offerings. I never tried this place and had heard good things. I want you to understand that since I became an elite member, I feel I should try to bring the good, bad and ugly. To really do that a place should not be just okay. I feel that this was just okay. It did not offer or taste better than any other Mexican place. From this point on I am only going to give any resturant no more than a 3 unless there is something, or someone who makes it shine. Because we as an eating public deserve better than average, no matter the price point. With that said the one good point is the daily special. My wife had the Nachos, which is only 7.00, normally 12.99. It was enough that it fed her and my youngest. The other good thing was the food was good, not great, not awesome, but good. It wasn't bad, because if had been I be more critical. Maybe the next visit I will find something to rave about. read more

Senor Iguanas in Clarksville is one outstanding restaurant. Great greet at the door seated immediately. This is a good sized restaurant with lots of tables and booths... we sat at a booth. They were not busy but the restaurant is so bright and the music was loud the mood is great . Server greet was quick as was ordering. It's street tacos for me with a side of rice. You get three or four tacos with some kinda dip that was really really spicy! Whatever my spouse ordered must have been good, I heard no complaints and his plate was empty. They just expanded the Sellersburg and took over the old El Catrine restaurant. Not the same menu nor the same quality of food. Save your money as it is much more expensive. I always go to El Nopal Clarksville- today I decided to follow the $4 Margarita Sun-Thursday sign next door and try a different Mexican restaurant. What a horrible idea!!!! Pepsi , first issue Pepsi really only works w/Chinese food Marg rather pay the extra 4 at El Nopal ! Small giant 3sip straw, after sitting empty for more than 15 minutes, had to ask for a refill on chips, and drinks. No napkins in the table Also... I have to catch the guy to ask first for anything. There are 4 servers and maybe 6 occupied tables in here. The food is mid at best. We were quickly seated, but it took forever for the server to acknowledge us. Naked Bowl! FtW! I do Keto and this is one of the best meals I've had dining out at a Mexican restaurant by far. I'm craving another one. They have chips and salsa with a ranch dip also...mix the two, trust me on this!! Delicious! The staff is extremely friendly and they great you as soon as you walk in. No waiting to be acknowledged. They sent you right away also. The restaurant was very clean and well-lit and they have TVs on each of the walls to watch the games on. I don't know why it has taken me so long to try this restaurant. I guess I just never thought it was very inviting since it seems to be a Mexican only restaurant but wow was I wrong! Secondly, you can tell the workers are proud to work at Senny G's. And lastly, the food is absolutely perfect. It's a little more pricey than competing Mexican restaurants, but it's easy to taste why. The quality is far more superior than the competition. Go on in and try it for yourself. Senor Iguana's has seen better days. At least I'm hoping that it isn't standing proudly in all its glory. The restaurant looks faded and sad as though it is slowly giving way to the tons of exhaust from the highway off ramp just outside its doors. I had to sling my foot under my backside to prop me up to the table as the springs in my side of the booth had given up the ghost. Standard for Mexican restaurants, a basket of chips (of the thicker tortilla variety) arrives promptly at your table along with a bowl of salsa and a small dish of white sauce. I still don't know what the white stuff was, but it tasted like Essence de la Cool Ranch Doritos. The entree's were alright. I had the Especial la Casa hoping for the best. The steak was good though fatty, the chicken dry. The vegetables (cactus, onion and tomato) had excellent flavor, as did the beans with more spice than I'm used to; very tasty. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very cheerful, polite and helpful, came by to check on us a number of times, though not excessively. read more

This location has recently undergone massive renovations to the interior and exterior. They have also rolled out a brand new menu. The renovated interior is warm and comfortable with tall backed leather booths and polished wood surroundings. The new menu still has many of the old staples like my favorite, the enchiladas suzias with verde sauce. However, it also has dishes that can be customized like nachos, burritos, and combination meals. I found the new menu to be refreshing and innovative. My very picky boyfriend enjoyed being able to customize exactly which ingredients he wanted in his meal. If you haven't been to Senor Iguanas since they renovated I recommend stopping by. Had a hankering for some Spanish food fare and Senor Iguanas was in the area. It was rainy out and we walked into the entrance. It was wet from the dripping and splashing onto the tile floor, so we had to walk gingerly, not mats or non-slip material down. We were greeted immediately upon entering and asked our choice of seating. We picked a booth and was promptly seated. We reviewed our menus trying to decide what to eat and shortly our server arrived. 2 beers ordered and delivered. Our waiter gave us a couple minutes to decide our meals and returned. There were kid specials for Wednesday whereby kids eat free accompanied by adult, so there were many children in the restaurant and all seemed to be enjoying the food and atmosphere; parents were enjoying the economic value of their visit. We ordered chicken salads, one a Mexican salad with cucumbers, smoked chicken and orange slices and a lemon vinaigrette with crispy lettuce. The other was a Manzanita Apple chicken salad, slightly tart apple slices, smoked chicken, pickled onions, tortilla strips, fresco cheese and a pomegranate vinaigrette, crispy lettuce. Nicely chilled and very blended flavor of sweet, tartness, cheesy and sour. The food was very tasty. Our waiter was very kind and attentive, but not bothersome. The salsa and creamy ranch/mayo blended dip puts a little spice in your palette. I'm sure to return! read more

Today's experience has lost Senor Iguana's our business. We ordered lunch from the Clarksville location and selected curbside pickup. When we arrived, I called and was told "It'll take us another five minutes to have it ready." Fine. Ten minutes later, with no food and no further contact, I called back. "We're really busy. What kind of car are you in?" I described it. "OK. I'll go check." - and hung up on me. Fifteen minutes after THAT, I finally went into the restaurant. The waiter who eventually stopped to ask me what I wanted then proceeded to argue with me when I asked why my order was half an hour late, repeating the "we've been busy" line. We finally got our order almost an hour after we placed it, and more than half an hour after our confirmation had said it would be ready, The manager apologized for our being hung up on and for the delay, but did not offer any kind of discount or refund for the delay and inconvenience, nor for the fact that I had eventually had to come and chase them down to get my order, negating the whole point of having placed a curbside pickup in the first place. This is not good customer service, either in attitude, fulfillment or acceptance of responsibility for the numerous dropped balls. We've been regular customers of Senor Iguanas since it opened, but we will not be back. read more

Stopped in for lunch, promptly greated and sat.. server at the table immediately, drinks arrived just as fast.. Very nice menu, large selection. We got the shrimp burrito that was a new menu item and the chicken enchiladas.. Both plates were freakin enormous, the burrito was as big as my thigh(not bragging, it's just a fact)..everything was prepared and presented very nicely... the waiter checked back often without being a nuisance. The are excellent drink specials that we should have tried but we are driving so we couldn't. Do yourself a big favor and check this place out, right next to the best western off the highway... Generally decent Mexican fare in an almost comically difficult-to-get-to physical location. Señor Iguanas (Clarksville) is your garden variety midwestern USA Mexican-ish joint, but in that paradigm of general mediocrity it shines more than most. Kind of on par with the El Nopals of the world, you'll find the typical pseudo-authentic selections designed to make the general American eater feel like he/she is really 'adventurous' with their culinary choice but also feel super comfortable and not like they're taking any kind of personal risk. Having expressed that somewhat snarky sentiment, everything I've gotten here has tasted good. I therefore assume everything on the menu has some merit. Since I've lived here, the building has been renovated, and there's a counter-intuitive entrance situation that first-timers may have trouble negotiating (why remove the possibility for adventure by explaining it...enjoy yourselves finding the actual entrance hahahahahahaha). Plus the building itself, which I assume was some other type of establishment at some point in its past, sits in an odd 'no mans land' off the southbound exit onto Lewis & Clark from I-65 and mixed into several adjoining parking lots and weird streets around a hotel and other restaurants. If you can weave your way in, Sr. Iggy's is a good spot for a very safe meal. They also have the quintessentially non-authentic Mexican but very authentic Midwestern USA idea of Mexican and patently ridiculous yet delicious 'Coronarita' which consists of a giant margarita with a small bottle of Corona turned upside down into it. Great lunch specials! Three of us had lunch here last week, and the food was fabulous. Two had the chicken chimichanga; one had the wet chicken burrito. All of us were extremely happy with our food.
