I loved where we were seated, over by the fireplace in the party area where the volume wasn't too loud at all. We could see the beautiful flickering tree from our tables. Our server tonight was Francisco and we decided what we wanted to drink. Some of our group had Margaritas and I heard that they are delicious. For dinner I chose my favorite fancy meal, the Spinach Chicken. It was Grilled strips of chicken tossed with their creamy spinach sauce. I love it and it's quite a large meal. Yeah, I know what I'm having for lunch tomorrow. My husband chose the Hawaiian Chicken. The Grilled chicken breast is topped with sliced ham, sliced pineapple, shredded cheddar cheese and then finished with maraschino cherries. It was served with rice and steamed vegetables. Our servers did a really good job keeping our glasses filled and checking to see if we needed more chips. We had a great time at Gustavo's. We had a new resident, and one resident was back from her travels. Two of my newest friends haven't missed since they started coming. I wish more of our residents had come tonight, we had such a great time. Gustavo's has a great Staff. Their manager, Teyo, works so hard at the restaurant and stops by our table often to see how we're doing. He and the owner, Gustavo Reyes, are big supporters of Swan Pointe's Block Party. There is a waiter at Mango's that will tell you that the machine is not working - or that the manager is not present - therefore he is unable to process a gift card. The other day he was able to process a gift card for $14.02 - but not use the one for $200 ??? I had to calmly argue with him for 5 minutes to get him to use that card. I talked loud enough so that folks at the other tables understood what goes on there. I don't want any more gift cards for Mango's!

The tortillas seemed to be house made. Light and fluffy. I'd be shocked if these had come from a package. But, I don't understand why they serve such a large portion with only 3 tortillas. They were filled with half an order remaining! Probably a good thing, as that other half will be enjoyed at home! The fajitas were terrific! The steak was tender and well seasoned. Lots of grilled onions and peppers. And Mango's is one of the few restaurants that serve strips of beef rather than chopped up "bits" of steak. Mango's isn't close to home, but it was worth the drive. I wouldn't hesitate to return when I'm back in the area and check out their lunch buffet.
