I've been coming to Señor Taco for the last 10 years, and over time, the food has only gotten worse while the prices keep increasing. It makes no sense one would expect them to either improve the quality or at least maintain it, but they've done the exact opposite. As for the service, it's terrible. The servers have added tips to my bill without my consent on multiple occasions, which I've had to dispute with my bank because that's fraud. So, be cautious and keep an eye on your bank statements. Another thing to note is the language barrier. They don't have staff who speak English fluently, and if they do, it's very minimal, which I imagine leads to a lot of miscommunication. read more

I don't know if this place knows what a traditional taco is unfortunately. The taco I had was first given to me incorrectly, I asked for just cilantro and onions on an al pastor taco (how they are traditionally served). I got my taco with cheese. The al pastor meat was (and I hate to say it) disgusting. It tasted like al pastor meat drenched in a gross greasy sauce. On top of that, I paid over 6$ for two tacos which I felt was extremely expensive. Lesson learned to stick to my go-to taco place where it's a traditional taco and I could get 4 tacos for 6$. Very disappointed as I was excited to try something new. I also ordered it in a to-go container that was dirty the first time around when they gave me the taco with cheese. Living in south Florida, there's no shortage of delicious taco and burrito spots at our disposal. Phylicia and stumbled upon Senor Taco as a result of a taco/burrito craving and a quick Yelp search. When we and I walked in, we immediately knew we were in for a treat. Half the menu was in Spanish which was the first indication of the pure authenticity of the food. Also it smelled amazing! I ordered the two taco special; got the barbacoa and carnitas meats. The tacos were served with re-fried beans and rice and that amazing white cheese. They had an array of salsa options in the salsa bar, one option I've never seen before. Orange salsa. I was drawn to the avocado salsa option for obvious reasons but regretted not trying the orange salsa because all the food was amazing! Probably one of the best tacos I've ever had out at a restaurant. You could tell everything was freshly made. The ambiance inside is a little stale but we didn't come for the ambiance. Staff was also very friendly. If you're in the area and craving Mexican food, highly recommend a stop into Señor Taco. read more

The food was very good. I had 2 enchiladas and my wife had a burrito. The reason for only 3 stars is because chips were extra, $1.85 for a fair amount. However the salsa is served in a salad bar type setting. The salsa is as thin as water, no onions, peppers or tomatoes, just watery and not very tasty. However the restaurant is very clean, bright with very colorful seating. The staff was neatly dressed, clean and friendly. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying extra for the chips, (altho most Mexican restaurants provide them free) i just like something that resembles salsa. The food is great, but the service absolutely sucks. Twice we've come here and both times we have sat and waited more than 30 minutes for our food (I looked at the receipt to check the time we paid). Even after all the wait, the food still comes out wrong and only half the order comes out. The other half comes out another 10 minutes later. This is also after other people have been given their food before us, even though they ordered after us. We tried to give this place a second chance, but obviously it's not worth it. This place is a favorite of mine that isn't anything fancy from the outside but the moment you walk in you'll realize your about to eat some authentic damn good food! You don't find many places down here that serves up an awesome salsa bar along with roasted jalapeños & onions. My tacos consisted of Bistec/steak, Adobada/marinated pork, Carnitas/roasted pork and Al Pastor/marinated pork with pineapple and grilled onions. All served on corn tortillas with pickled onions and cucumbers. Definitely give this local joint a try if your in the area. read more

While you wait, go to the incredibly fresh salsa bar, fill the little plastic cups they give you with a selection of fresh salsas, and fill a small plate with some of their freshly grilled jalapeños and onions, radish and onion pickle, lime chunks, and more. Then dig in to the generous food. I had their delicious Cocktel de Camarones, (Shrimp Cocktail, Mexican Style). Must be a dozen nice-sized super fresh shrimp in a thin extra-tasty salsa of tomato, avocado, onion, cilantro, cucumber, ketchup and more. It's huge, served with crackers, and you get to try all of those yummy salsas! All for $11.99. How can you beat that?! Going home to share for dinner is a plate of really good chile rellenos with ground beef, rice and beans. We love their tacos -- great variety of meats and LENGUA and CABEZA ó BARBACOA!!! Our go to's. Included a pic of shrimp cocktail from menu -- it's long gone! It's Florida, and lots of great restaurants are located in strip malls, so don't let that put you off from coming. You're going to have some of the best, freshest, delicious food available. Señor Taco is at one end of the mall and if you're like me you'll have to make a U-turn at one of neighboring developments because you'll see it after you pass it ;-). Forget the tasteless chains and come to a great little place with good food, a relaxing atmosphere (great Mexican music, Jarritos and Corona), and most important -- SUPPORT LOCAL!!! Love, love, love their marinated pork (adobada) tacos! And their Agua Fresca (orchata, hibiscus, and tamarind) is homemade and absolutely delicious. Really cute decor and very clean. Their bathrooms are also neat and clean; a real bonus for me! Staff is extremely friendly, as well. The only things stealing a star from them is that their chips are not free. But the prices are so cheap, I almost forgive this. Also, their tortillas are not made in site, but they are still delicious. I just have a deep respect for places that make everything on site and from scratch. In short, ever since my fave placed closed down, this is the nearest excellent authentic Mexican restaurant. I ordered guacamole, Sopa de Mariscos for my husband and Mexican shrimp cocktail for myself. The soup was amazing, fresh & delicious I tied it from my husband. I ate the shrimp dish and we shared the guacamole. The shrimp cocktail was huge, I thought it'd more like an appetiser, but it was a full dish with shrimp, cilantro, tomato salsa and slices of avocado in sweet, sour & spicy cold soup that reminded me of gazpacho. Senor Taco is a pretty solid spot for lunch. Prices are reasonable, lots of menu options, and the restaurant is clean. I got the 2 soft tacos/1 hard taco and a drink combo (and right after I ordered I saw that the days special was $6.99 for two tacos, beans and rice -- probably would have gotten that!). A few of us got the same thing and agreed that the hard shell seemed stale, but the soft tacos were good. Not blow you away amazing, just good. A friend got the veggie burrito and really liked it - packed with avocado and veggies and HUGE! Some of the salsa bar options were a bit odd, but I really like the avocado salsa and the spicy red salsa was good. The one in our group who doesn't like hot didn't really enjoy any of the mild selections. Overall good, but I'd probably choose Taco Mix over Senor Taco, even though the ambiance here is definitely better. read more

Great steak tacos here. Very busy at lunch but then they're serving great food, so that's to be expected. I love the little bar with salsa, jalepenos, and onions. Next time i'll give the pork tacos a try. I noticed there were a lot of people having menudo so it must be good here. Seriously, like more than half the restaurant at lunch had at least one person with menudo. This is definitely a place I'll return to when I'm in Bonita. read more

This place is fantastic. My wife and I are what you'd like to call Mexican cuisine enthusiasts. We have eaten at many traditional Mexican restaurants all over the United States including Texas. This is by far in the top five Mexican restaurants we've ever eaten. The prices are good for the quality of food you get it, and the salsa bar is phenomenal. The staff are very friendly and will explain the entire menu if you're just not sure what you want. My recommendation would be the traditional tacos with chicken, and the avocado salsa on them. read more

The pictures and reviews were promising, but I was sadly let down. I guess I've been spoiled with the flavore Tijuana Mexican and Mexican town of Detroit because this place fell far short. The tortilla chips were cold, unsalted and flavorless. The guac was also bland. The tacos were ehhhhh ok. Although I don't know how BOGO free is a deal when one taco is $1.99. The carnita taco was ok as was the spicy green salsa. The peppers and onions from the salsa bar were also good. So maybe just eat from the salsa bar.
