This place is beyond ridiculous!!!! We walked in, with a reservation, and a toddler in attendance and waited over an hour for our damn food! Absolutely the worst service ever !!! We had to ask for the manager because there was no apology or acknowledgment of us waiting that long for the food when it finally came to the table. One of the entrees wasn't even that warm....I mean REALLY!!!? My husband said it best, be leery of the Mexican strip mall restaurant. This experience was unacceptable from start to finish. The tabletop itself was wobbling and tilting badly not the base. It shifted every time anyone moved, making it obvious the table was unsafe and defective. We asked the waiter to push the table against the wall just to stabilize it. When he clearly saw how severe the wobble was, any competent server would have immediately said, "Let me move you to another table." Instead, he dropped off straws and walked away. That level of indifference is not service, it's neglect. The food was decent. I'll acknowledge that. But decent food does not excuse poor operations. The most serious issue came with the check. I was double-charged for drinks both a margarita (already outrageously overpriced) and Tecate beers. When I pointed this out, the waiter gave a rehearsed "oh, I didn't mean that" response. That explanation is not credible. Whether intentional or careless, it is unacceptable and erodes trust. Finally, when leaving the restaurant, no one at the hostess stand acknowledged us. No thank you. No goodbye. No attempt at hospitality. Between unsafe seating, inattentive service, billing errors, and a complete lack of professionalism, this visit was a failure. I will not return unless management contacts me directly. read more

The restaurant was clean. We were seated immediately. The skinny margarita was very tasty. Our chicken fajita was steaming hot. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the meat was tender and flavorful. The corn tortillas were fresh and also steaming hot. Service was good. We offer 4 stars instead of 5 because there was a several minute pause after we were seated before our server came to the table for our drink order. The restaurant cannot be seen from the road but is listed on the Liberty Plaza sign at the entrance. read more

We decided to stop here for lunch, after running a few errands and wanting Mexican food. The restaurant is easy to find with decent parking and right off Tamiami Trail. We were seated quickly and had chips and salsa on the table in no time. Our server came over to take our lunch order and we expected to eat soon, unfortunately, lunch was slow in arriving. The restaurant was not very busy, but the wait was long. Food wise, the chips and salsa had a nice flavor and our lunch was good. They have a variety of options like Molcajete, Carnitas, Camarones A La Diabla and a variety of dinner salads, kids menu, and lunch specials. We went with the very reasonably priced lunch menu and my chili relleno was flavorful, while hubs liked the lunch tacos. This restaurant is clean with a pleasant staff, but we waited at least fifteen minutes for the check. Both of us were waving and trying to get the attention of our server or another staff member, but they never looked over. We noticed at one point, that that our server was busy mixing drinks behind the bar, so they must have been short handed for that shift. I asked for a bag to take the chips home and another server bought out a fresh bag of chips from the kitchen. This nice gesture made up for waiting so long to get the check. Overall, lunch at Don Tequila was a nice experience and they do make good Mexican food. We'd be happy to return. read more

Good food, large portions, friendly and quick service. The dining area is spacious and clean with room at the bar for seating as well. My family enjoyed the Al pastor tacos, red sauce enchiladas, and nachos. The beans and rice that come with most entrees is seasoned and cooked beautifully-- some of the most flavorful rice and beans I've had. I had the flautas and was impressed with the flavor of the carnitas flautas with a decadent cheese sauce. The chicken was a tad dry and bland and the iceberg lettuce and tomato chunks seemed a bit odd. If there was an additional salsa I think it would've been more enjoyable for flavor and to avoid dryness. read more

My experience at this restaurant was unfortunately really terrible due to the poor service of the wait staff and the kitchen. I can't comment too much on the food as I only had their tortilla chips and salsa in the nearly 1.5 hours I was there... the meal I ordered didn't arrive before I decided to leave. Regarding the salsa, I thought it was excellent. I tasted lots of black pepper, which I like, and the tomatoes were fresh and full of flavor. I also like that you get a good portion of the salsa. This chips were average, in my opinion... not salty and not very flavorful. It took about 20 minutes for the server to take our order after we sat down, and that's only because we flagged her down. There were about 6 other tables with guests, so the place wasn't crowded at all. I'm not sure what the issue was, but this was nothing compared to the HOUR long wait for food to arrive. ALL other tables around us were served first, even though we arrived before them. I'm guessing there was some sort of issue in the kitchen, but no one explained it or apologized. I needed to leave so asked for my food "to-go", but it never arrived minutes later. I'm disappointed in my overall experience and can't recommend this place. read more

Dined here early last evening. EARLY is important because until 6 pm there is BOGO Happy Hour: so TWO Small Margaritas for $8.99, TWO glasses of house wine for $7.50, also small draft beer BOGO. Ambiance is pleasant, festive. Juliana was our very attentive server. We started with Guacamole Salad $9.99 quite good. We were not even half finished with this when our entrees arrived (too quick). For main course, we had Tacos (3) Pescado $19.95 and Fish Veracruz $20.99. Everything was muy bueno and large portions. Wow just thinking back to my delicious meal and our time here as I write this review already made me want to go back! This restaurant is located in a small plaza, a decent amount of free parking. We didn't need reservations and were seated right away on a Wednesday afternoon around dinner time. Our server Juliana, was very friendly and helpful when we had questions regarding the menu. Everyone was very happy with their meals which included the carne asada, chicken burrito, steak fajitas, and chicken enchiladas.. they give you a good decent amount of food so we had some leftovers. For drinks we really enjoyed their margaritas that are buy one get one free, we had their medium size which I thought was more than enough. I enjoyed the mexican decor throughout the restaurant, big booth and tables. They also had Spanish music playing which makes the atmosphere more pleasant. The food is great and worth the price. Love Mexican food but finding good mexican food can be a challenge if you want to lean more authentic and not the stuff that may be great but it's been way too Americanized... With that said, Don Tequila was......... We were in town for just one night with plans for a great seafood dinner but we already had oysters and other goodies for lunch so the wife suggested Don Tequila since she has been here before; she mentioned how colorful it was and how good the drinks were when she visited a few months ago. We arrive and it was very satisfying to be at a place that is not loaded to the rim with tourists (I've spent way too much time in the wrong parts of Naples). We were greeted by our very cheerful and friendly server (Renzo); the was a big part of ensuring our experience was excellent. The wife get a HOUSE MARGARITA... and apparently she got two because they have a Summer Special on certain drinks. Despite the 2-4-1 offer, I order a medium sized FROZEN STRAWBERRY MARGARITA (yes, surprised me that they offer different sizes in their drinks; even have pitchers too). It's a large menu so deciding on an entree was not easy but the offerings was impressive; all the traditional stuff like fajitas, burritos and tacos but then it goes so much further. You must check out their menu. My wife ordered their TACOS MICHOACANOS: Four flour tortillas with your choice of chicken, steak, carnitas (pork) or pastor (pork) along with cilantro, onions and cheese. She went with the chicken and eliminated the cheese (but she did load up on some hot sauce). I was craving enchiladas so I went with a suggestion from our server Renzo and loved their ENCHILADAS YOLANDA: Three chicken or beef enchiladas topped with cheese and either green or red sauce. I went with the beef and red sauce and was very pleased. Looking forward to returning... definitely will be ordering the Enchiladas Yolanda again (this time with chicken and then green sauce). read more

A couple years ago I was here during a girls trip to Naples; we sat at the bar and had plenty of Margaritas and not much food (just some chips with salsa and guacamole). I remember liking the bartender and how cute the place was. This time I am on vacation with my husband and he suggested Mexican; I remembered this place and we decided so give it a try; what a great choice. The restaurant is bigger than I remember and the bar looks great and the place is colorful. We ended up with a great server named Renzo. I LOVED their Taco Michoacanos; I had the chicken ones but you can also get steak, carnitas or pastor. My husband went with their Enchiladas Yolanda; he got then beef version but they also offer chicken. He said he loved them and can't wait til our next visit so he can get the same dish but with chicken this time. If in Naples, Don Tequila is a must.... PS: the Margaritas are awesome ! read more

4.5 STARS. Really solid spot. Had the pork belly platter for appetizer. Order it! So good. The charred jalapeño, the guacamole, and that succulent pork belly! Delicious. Ordered the carne asada for my meal and it was also very tasty. Well seasoned. Excellent rice and beans on the side too. The service was a little slow at first but that might be because we were slow too and didn't decide what we wanted very quickly. Atmosphere was good. Can't complain really. It was a lovely place for some pretty good Mexican food. It was quiet but it was around noon when I went. The service was quick and to the point. It looks like they had a great group of regulars and I see why. It is consistent. The only thing I didn't like was the view and it was of the parking lot. I guess it all depends where you are seated. Looking for a good Mexican restaurant with great food and service. This place checked the authentic decor. Food was OK but could be excellent if the service was great. That's where this place fall short. A mediocre food or place can be awesome if your server does her job well. Unfortunately, we were stuck with a miserable server who was snippy when asked about happy hour. We see other servers happy to speak to their customers. We like to give above 20% tip or more if the service is above and beyond, we give them 25-30%. But not this one. Every time we'll ask for something like extra a salsa as if we have to beg and ask for forgiveness for asking and I'm not exaggerating. When asked about happy hour drinks, she gave us that look that we should know what the special is before coming to the restaurant. It's not what you say, it's how you say it. That would be the first and last time we'll be there. Too bad. It had potential to be better but would never recommend this place. Lucky I gave 2 stars for the authentic decor and OK food. No Bueno. I was craving Mexican food while in Naples and saw that this restaurant came highly recommended. Casamigos, Don Tequila opened in a strip mall October of 2017. They serve authentic Mexican food and a wide range of tequilas while celebrating the art and culture of Mexico. As soon as I walked in I was warmly greeted and shown to a table. The restaurant has a large bar and spacious dining room. I loved the tables and colorful painted booths and carved chairs. It is very nicely decorated. I was brought complimentary chips and salsa while I looked over the extensive menu I finally decided on a side of queso blanco and chicken chimichangas for my meal. The queso was served lukewarm in a shallow bowl that made dipping kind of awkward. The chicken in the chimichangas was dry. They serve the guacamole, sour cream, etc on top instead of on the side like I would have preferred. Also I believe there were some drink specials available that I might have been interested in but they weren't offered to me. I did overhear another table ordering them. Overall it was an okay lunch. There were only a few people eating so they could have been a bit more attentive especially with communicating the specials. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in the area so I would be more likely to try one of them next time I'm in the area. read more

If you're looking to drink a bunch of margaritas and get sloppy drunk at the neighborhood mexican restaurant Don Tequila's might be for you. But if you're looking for great food and great service I just wouldn't go here! We've eaten at Don Tequila's twice. Both times we had the same service related issues and decided we aren't going back anymore. Both times it was the exact same thing. We got seated quickly. Waiter comes over super excited offering margaritas and other yummy drinks. WE DON'T DRINK. We ordered soda. And both times the mood of the waiter changes INSTANTLY. Like we're literally dead to them at this point. The first time it happened I figured it was a fluke. The second time it happened I almost walked out. I get it. Restaurants make great money on liquor. But not ordering liquor shouldn't impact your service. First the guy made us wait 10 minutes for our drinks. Then he was snippy and throwing plates on the table. After getting our meals he didn't check on us even once and didn't refill our sodas. The restaurant wasn't even busy, was at 25% capacity. There's no manager walking around checking on things. It's clear to to me, go there and buy drinks... or don't go there. The food? Eh. The chips and salsa are excellent. The burritos, tacos, fajitas etc are all quite average. Service? Absolutely horrendous. read more

First I want to say food was excellent...however we went during happy hour and ordered drinks per their website drinks are 1/2 price 3-6. We were charged full price on bill and told second drink is 1/2 and then offered it to go!!! Who does that!! I had a Taco salad that was $14.99 and charged $18.99. I did get extra guacamole which was a small metal cup....not worth the upcharge!!! Either our waitress was mistaken or they are overcharging customers.
