They work in sync like a band that's been playing together for years, lapping around and making sure all patients are engaged and progressing through the various treatments/exercises in their respective treatment plans. I came here in August with a ruptured Achilles that I had surgery to repair, and walked out (literally!) just a few months later, and far earlier than the surgeon had expected. That's a true testament to the time and attention everyone here gave to me, referring frequently to my chart and the well-taken notes, gradually adding weight and/or repetitions on, and mixing in new exercises when appropriate. I also really appreciated the overall vibe here. Good music is always playing (could be 90s grunge, pop country, or classic rock, depends on who takes over the playlist!) staff are all friendly with the patients and with each other, and there's a great mix of folks in here to chat with. The walls are decorated with staff photos, pics of their kids, etc. and little league team photos from the teams they sponsor! Short version: It's about as fun as physical therapy can be! She has been working with my son for over 12 months and when we first started coming here he was not even sitting independently. He is now confidently walking and running and even jumping. I can very honestly say the progress my son has made would not have happened if it wasn't for Dr. Kelly. She is amazingly sweet and the entire staff at the practice was very genuine and kind and worked with us and our insurance company to ensure we got the best care. It was pretty scary at first, specially being at the care of others and having to trust that they know what they're doing while being afraid of anything happening to you, again. Like falling or getting it more damaged. But the girls there have had a great deal of empathy, & have been very caring. They have a lot of patience and have cheered me on throughout my recovery journey, which has been an emotional rollercoaster as well. Today I'm walking with a boot, no pain as of yet. I am so grateful for the Nesting Place…read more I found the Nesting Place on Instagram when I was pregnant. I was excited to enroll in prenatal education classes here and was even more excited to take my little one to classes after my baby was born. Prenatally: My husband and I took "newborn care 101" and partner yoga for birth. My husband and I loved the partner yoga with Jen. It really opened my eyes on what I wanted for my birth and helped me change my birth goals and plan. I loved the prenatal yoga classes with Jen as well. I also found my doula through the Nesting Place website. I am so grateful to have found the Nesting Place to help me prepare, as best I could, for my birth through education, support and movement. Postpartum - I was even more grateful for the Nesting Place. I saw that it offered "Fourth Trimester groups" at all three locations - Farmingdale, Merrick and Yaphank. I enrolled in a fourth trimester group in Merrick and received an email saying "come as you are." It was very comforting as it was the first place I took my baby alone. I felt supported with other moms going through the same things at the same time. As moms, we are usually the last ones supported and taken care of, and the Nesting place really offers that space for us to be supported in this new chapter as we are also born as mothers. We have utilized so many resources through the Nesting Place - our lactation consultant, Bella, was instrumental on helping us with feeding/latching issues, baby and me yoga, postnatal strength classes, baby and me music and developmental play with PTs, OTs and SLPs. My baby and I look forward to the classes as we can be ourselves, meet other parents and feel so welcomed. I am really truly grateful that the Nesting Place exists during the time I became a mom. I don't know what I would've done without it. I hope others will "come as you are" and try a class here prenatally or postpartum. It really is a wonderful community.

It's frustrating to feel dismissed and uninformed when safe, effective options exist. Women deserve better.
